This is what I really hate about KYC and what makes me feel very uncomfortable. These people know who you are but you have no idea who they are. This is not fair. They want to protect themselves we can't.
It's not like they were even asking about an individual person but rather the companies location. I mean I can understand a smaller company not wanting to give its location but I can't understand such a large company being so secretive.

Yes indeed every exchange has its own rules. I think as long as our funds are safe and they are still trusted, it doesn't matter where they are. Because this is a service business where high trust is needed. And so far there is no bad complaint about binance. I don't want to defend binance, but I just want to highlight that they are professionals. On the other hand, if the op is afraid of missing funds or something bad happens, it's better to withdraw your funds from there to your cold wallet. I think that's a very effective solution when you don't get a satisfying answer.

I think there is no problem if the binance team does not provide their office address. binance is a big exchange of course the binance team maintains office privacy for security. meet the binance team when they do blockchain roadshows in various countries or when done in your country, they will definitely give their office address if you are dealing directly with them rather than you talking through a binance support chat

Its safer not to disclose their location to anybody, its just a normal procedure be rest assured that binance is a very good crypto exchange, after the last hack on the exchange few thought its over but they refund all lost funds to owners, they have good reputation and they care about it

Okay. The thing is scammers dont choose you. You choose people to scam you. And Binance can be one of them. CAN BE!!!
well yeah, i just read the other people feedback about it and if it good i'll go for it.

It is their policy, and it is already stated. The man in the middle, he is just doing his job you don't have to be offend. Besides, everyone has a possible rights but we are all have to comply with their rules. It is a crucial thing to exposed binance location as for private matter. And in addition, they are all doing what they can offer to you as a customer, are you satisfied or not?

I think it's not only binance, maybe also on other sites, why they don't answer your questions about location, because it's not their responsibility to say about it, the first is you ask the customer service where there are certain rules where all customer service has its own limits to answer all customer questions, but if you have the opportunity you can contact the CEO Binance to ask for their location or come to each of their events, the conclusion is Binance is still in the status of the site that can be trusted by me

Relax pal not only binance is trying to safe keep their locations from preying eye, its risky to put head office address on websites because they can easily become a target, binance CEO is one of the few best crypto CEO I ever know

I think why you want to know the Binance office do you want to go there to see it in person? Binance is a popular exchange and they might keep it a secret, and I've seen a number of articles that Binance's office is in Shanghai, but that was also denied by Binance so I don't know which is true.
I think he was just curious and wanted to make sure that the money he put in was safe. but it is also true of the binance party, to avoid something undesirable, the binance party keeps it a secret and makes it more privacy.

I think Binance location is not a secret since its one of the most popular cryptocurrency exchange in the world, They said that Binance HQ was in Malta so whats the problem with that. if i am a Binance users and i don't trust the exchange platform anymore I don't waste my time, the least i can do is first i withdraw my funds and leave without question that's simple. cryptocurrency business is a full of speculation thats why trust is more important in this industry. BTW don't worry mate Binance CEO is a very popular  and active he cant afford to ruin his name.

well , i also want to know about it , but, of course , we will not get any answer from support chat.
unlike most exchanges originating from the USA and Europe , such as bittrex and poloniex wich cleary giving a exact info where they are,It seems that exchanges from Asia do not provide clear information about where they are.
besides binance , kucoin also same in this cases.
I can't argue whether hiding such an identity is necessary or not.

If youre scared enough to let the exchange holds youre asset then withdraw it. They will not disclose any information especially its quite sensitive one. They impose guidelines regarding this and I think you should be confident to trust it especially binance is the number 1 exchange. Dont worry CZ handles its client with high appreciation.

If you put money on an exchange, then your money is under their rules and regulations and it doesn't matter the location of the exchange as long as your money is safe. I don't know the reason why you need to know their location, are you going there to collect your money or what?

I don't think there's anything terrible about it. They care about their safety and if someone is actively interested in their whereabouts, it can be alarming. You don't have to worry about your money. Binance is a reliable exchange.
Yeah absolutely, you can't even do anything about that information that you'll be getting, it will just make you looks like a person who plans some illegal things. They are handling not just your money but millions of peoples money so keeping where their head quarter is just fine and instead you can ask about their offices or branches where people can visit.

You have to understand their privacy. As they don't want to get trace for the safety and security purposes. There are many attackers who want to invade such company like Binance.

In the first place, you entrusted your money with them so you have to take tbe consequences. The fact that they are securing our money is a great thing. I understand that you want to know who owe our money but things like this especially in virtual exchanges will not guarantee you the 100% security that you want and yet you still deposited and later on had a guts because you wanna know their location?

Respect the privacy.

Oh God, why dont you just trade on a decentralized DEX like Blocknet if you care that much? Sure I believe we can all see the problem, but overall no one should TRUST a centralized exchange at all.

Hopefully in a few years, they'll lose the battle against decentralized solutions. Hopefully

Your question is so weird. Exchange registration and famous Binance There are already offices and branches in various countries. Wrong from you, you say where as if you want to know their location and like a terrorist. If you want to be interested in making email or contact them according to what interests you because they are busy and indeed they are real haha

You are just the co-owner of the coin if you put it on an exchange because they have the control over it and you don’t have any private keys. For the security purposes that’s why Binance didn’t disclose the exact location of their office. If you’re a trader you don’t need to know this thing, you just need to analyze the exchange and see the feedbacks of other users if the exchange is good or not, this is a simple way to confirm a good exchange.

I like how that sounds, co-owner of the coins, while the coins are stashed on some exchange. I wish to add one more thing, recent exchange hacks showed how crypto is huge now, exchanges gave money from their own pocket to refund traders, now exchanges are much safer then before, at least some of them.
I think that even birds knows that binance headquarter is on Malta, so this topic is just a FUD. Even that picture from op is terrible, I believe op created this imaginary conversation with binance support.

You give them, you don´t own them in fact. You forget about the golden rule in cryptocurrencies: when you do not own private keys, you do not own your cryptocurrencies.
So do not be surprised what is happening with money what you gave them.  Wink

You do so is right. But be stronger in protecting yourself. Holding your information is as important as keeping money in your hand. If not handled you can bring legal.
