I think I'm going to stick on holding my bitcoin, because I hold altcoins as well. Especially now, the prices of altcoins are cheap, so I can buy a few more. I know I'll profit on my bitcoin and altcoins if I just hold them. Just wait until the prices of the coins rise again, the more different coins you hold, the higher chance of great profit
Bitcoin is the best long-term investment,I think to keep bitcoin,best of all,it will bring higher returns.
For me holding BTC for a long time is a good investment because as we notice especially this moment were market are dumping it is a big profit if i'm going to hold it until it's bounce back. Because 1BTC is a huge amount when exchange to our currency.
I disagree to this topic! For me, Bitcoin and Ethereum are the best coins to hold especially in long-term. The price of Bitcoin is continue to increasing yearly so its the best coin to invest. 
Of course you need to invest and reinvest in altcoins. Participate in a variety of ICO. Cryptocurrency gives us now a good opportunity to earn. Do not miss it.
To my own point of view things, you are right, but there are still many people and probably me as well not so crypto related plus, we still need currency to pay bills, buy something to eat and so on. So with this reasons .i am holding my bitcoin.
When the cryptocurrency market dips only bitcoin and other cryptocurrency that has a strong community and support can survive from a crash so why should I not hold bitcoin if this is the most trusted cryptocurrency as of this days? bitcoin will always be the king of cryptocurrency and this is the good for long term hold.
My opinion to this is that, it would be better that not all of your funds will be invested in BTC and I think you should try to invest some funds from your btc to some promising alts and observe the market performance. Atleast, you will not be hooked up with btc only and explore other potential coin for your investment. Moreover, I am still confident that bitcoin will soon recover from this long bear market in the coming months and if that happens, that will be good also for the alts to grow as bitcoin is the main thing here.
I think if the bitcoin is going down just buy and hold and sell if the bitcoin is pump. Dont fully invest bitcoin because bitcoin is longterm coin like ethereum . If you hold a coin give a patience and wait until pump.
For those who only make bitcoin and cryptocurrencies as short-term investments then they will regret, bitcoin and all cryptocurrencies are future investments so it is more profitable if we hold for a long time.
