A lots of ICOs are profitable.
But the OP advice is good for 1 reason:
1. you invest in a profitable ICO (money+)
2. you invest in a profitable ICO (money++)
3. you invest in a profitable ICO (money+++)
4. you invest in a scam (money zero)
Investing is okay, but just don't fall in a mania that will make you lost everything.

I invest mostly in BTC and ETH.
There are other altcoins worth investing but it's not easy finding them - imo, their token must have clear purpose in the network, and they have the potential to be adopted by the masses.

There are really ico that is worth investing. We should not invest if we dont see any future on it or development,but if the ico seems really promising plus the team were into consideration and cooperation. Give it a try ,it might be worth investing. I believe investing now is a new form of doing business.

yes i agree with you before to invest ICO you must looking for detailed info about ico resources, not a few ico that works and can provide benefits to investors.

I don't agree, all we need is picking up a good coin and buy it in low price, I just brought 5000 siacoin in 0.01$.

I agree with you, it is natural that ICO is very risky because of the big risks that must exist if investing there. Although true, many ICOs are failing and also scam but in recent months many ICOs are successful and generating huge profits, this is more than just selling and buying altcoin at a margin price. I also do research and rethink if want to decide to invest in ICO. If we can be careful we will avoid from failure. Not all ICOS are scammy. Yeah there are some rip off merchants, but you get that through mainstream investments as well. I have made some decent returns over the years participating in some ICOSA and I would always advise every investor to do their proper research and due diligence before investing anywhere, whether on or off the Blockchain.

I'm also doing the same, ico is very profitable if you are investing in the right ico but if you are in a bogus ico,you are going to lose a lot so better check who are the people behind this ico and they have investor protections like an escrow and a guaranty, without an escrow I will not going to invest in any ico.
Yes, I will invest my money in ICO because I can earn multiple profits on it. I know that investing ICO is risky but you should be careful before you decision on it. Preferably to invest with escrows because its more secured than not.

Risky, yes, of course! But to generalize ICO as scam is too much. I don't think ICOs are scam. There are some of them of course. We cannot deny that as there are developers who are only after money and not really putting their heart to their project.
But it needs your prudence, diligence, hardwork, and so on to get the right ones. There are legit ones of course. And it's really worth it.

I'm not investing in ICO's, I'm sceptical about it, and not interested to invest.
BUT, everyone is free to do what they want, it personal decision. If people are able to choose good ICO and it gives them profit, why they shouldn't invest?
I really agree with you, many people say investing with ICO is very risky is true, but if you want to invest with ICO, we must first see how the project works, if we see them working not really build a project, Investing in it But if we look at the ICO project it's very good why we do not invest, so it all depends on how you can see the quality of the project itself and determine it yourself. This is really depending on case to case basis dependong the the certain point of view on an investor on a certain type of ICO. Not all are scam but most likely which you do purchase coins on ICO state and the price is lowered compared on the ICO price then i will surely say that it feels like that i have been scammed but we should not treat it generally there are ICO's which are worth investing on our money and its our responsibility to spot those good ones and we should always remember the risk for us not to be surprised if uncertain thing might happen ahead.
