i think ur forgettin a few things here....bitmains s9 is able to do covert ANDDDDDD overt. this means it can turn on asicboost via a firmware change right now blowin the halong miner away. most of all it can switch back to no asicboost and still run which is somethin the t1 cant do. that is a huge diff. y do u keep ignorin these facts and stickin to this pool angle?? y u that close minded?? i remember asking about the price u got and if u thought it was fair but like i said u keep ignoring all of my points and continue repeating the same thing about pools can turn this and that on.
sha256 is not the same as sha256 requiring asicboost. this miner is being compared to the s9 but its not even on the same lvl as the s9. u know this is true. ur wallet....well thats a diff story.
speaking of wallets where is that transaction info showing u paid for the miners. u demanded that i remove the comments about free miners yet i have 0 proof that u paid. we have 100% proof that u didnt mainly because u urself admitted that u didnt pay a dime for them. step up and defend ur claims buddy. a trusted member who isnt influenced by money and or the prospects of free stuff and provided an unbiased "review" shouldnt have ne issues standing behind the claims they make right??
idc what bitmain is tryin to do with other miners. right now im focused on the s9 and the t1 and ur promotion of a miner/white washin of pretty major flaws with the machines.
let me ask this very basic question....if asicboost was killed by a change to bitcoin and all other sha256 coins would this miner still be usable ANDDDDDD if the same thing happened would the s9 still be usable??
you finally posted the real problem bitmain can turn it on and off not you or me.
and bitmain might force all asicboost to die off just to fuck the dragonmint t1
lets not kid ourselves as to how much power bitmain has in the sha 256 coin.
this miner the t1 directly attacks the bitmain stranglehold on asic boost plain and simple no more and no less.
This is why I am for the miner because bitmain could do huge covert asicboost mining at hashnest with zero checks and balances.
I don't dislike bitmain I have and continue to purchase from bitmain. But They don't need to hold a stranglehold on asic boost and not they no longer hold the strangle hold.
And of course as you say if bitmian muscles a full and complete block of asic boost the t1 gets bricked. yes it does. which knowing bitmain they would if they could.
Personally I like that the t1 popped the strangle hold on asicboost.
and if 1 more big pool such as f2pool or viabtc would adapt it it would make the t1 a more effective way to lessen the edge bitmain has with hashnest and asicboost tech.
If bitmain does not practice asicboost on hashnest now fine but if they do there is zero way to check.
WHICH IS FAR BIGGER ISSUE THEN THIS THREAD AND THE T1 which as of today is the only miner trying to stop or lessen bitmain and the asicboost edge they can be using.
Which is why I don't mind fighting on this thread with you since I will continue to support the T1 since I see it as a viable choice mostly due to -ck's continued firmware developments.
Show me where bitmain has a watts per gh under clock with a heat throttle protection official firmware that will work on the few s-9s I have left.
the T1 does.
If my 13.5th at 1375 watts s-9 could do 12.5 th and 1150 watts and have a throttle option firmware . Needs to be official firmware.
I would say it is slightly better then the T1.
I am flexible as I let the gear show me what it can do.
the bottom line is every sha coin can allow this to mine
and every sha pool can allow this to mine.
and at 14.5 th pulling 1300 watts it is better then a S-9 since s-9 does not do 14.5th and 1300 watts.
did it do spec of 16.0th and 1480 watts for no and I never said it did.
Once again Is it 30% better then a s-9 no and I never said it was.
I said it is slightly better once -ck did some firmware.
I will stand by that claim.
Do I think the T2 is better well that belongs on a different thread.
