No I do not spend them in real life because the fact is that there are no nearby stores in my area that are accepting it.
I hope this will change soon but I really doubt if this will happen here.

I'm having exactly the same problem, because no nearby stores are accepting it and I also do not think they will.
There are just too many people that do not use the bitcoin at all.

it takes time, I think in some countries are still hard to find. perhaps those who understand bitcoin will accept bitcoin, and although they understand bitcoin and accept bitcoin as a payment, but buyers using bitcoin definitely rare. so it all takes time, so that the development of bitcoin spread evenly.

Price is moving up now and its better not to spend right now, as we will see much higher price in coming days so I would prefer to convert it to fiat currency.

lol you said prices will rise higher, but you prefer to convert fiat. you should continue to hold up to a few months, because the price will increase until the end of the year.

If you don't have an option of spending directly, then converting it to fiat is the only option left for you, as I cannot find any shop in my area where I can spend it.

I keep a few coins. I did not spend all of it. I trade and I am trying to make a profit with my coin. bitcoin give a very big change for me.
i am a little new in bitcoins and same on other online currencies. that is why i have never use coins in real life. may because we have no such shopes and shopping malls where we can do the exchange of bitcoins. but i am really hopeful to use it in near future. because in my area the trends of online shopping is increasing day by day. so i think the time is not too far to use coins specially bitcoin in my real life.

Yeah, if you don't spend all of your coins, surely that you are holding and saving it for the coming halving as the price of bitcoin will increase in that
time after it.
The more bitcoins you are holding before the halving, today. The bigger profits that you can get.

The halving could do a lot positive for the bitcoin price. It will reduce the supply. If demand is the same, the price will rise.

I like to spend a few hundred mBTC every now and then so that it remains money to me.
It is easy to forget how much Bitcoin is worth, I mean 1 BTC doesn't sound like much.

It's nice to go to Amazon (indrectly) or other websites/restaurants directly and see what you actually get for your money.  When you have a nice meal for 0.1BTC, you realise that you have something of worth!
Yes only if we are forgetting about the real worth of bitcoin and its advantages for future as a high returning investment, we will be able to spend our bitcoins in our real time as a currency.
Sometimes, I am planning for spending some of my bitcoin, but later I change my decision as I believe on bitcoin prices to go some $10,000 price levels.

If you cannot spend it physically then try to spend it online or just sell it and convert it to your local currency as rotation of coins is really important for the bright future of bitcoin.

Yep, I'm an active spender of bitcoins in some games I play (like CS:GO and Dota 2). I'm also buying several things off of the internet like some goods, random stuffs, and whatnot that could satisfy me.

I have bought me a few digital goods with bitcoins, but I have never seen a "bitcoin accepted" sign anywhere in a shop in the city I live.
I know that we had a Bitcoin ATM, but it was more like a test run. And it got removed after the test was finished.
Realy sad my city made a step backwards in terms of bitcoins.

Don't blame your city bro. it is the problem of whole world and of every country. I also can't spend bitcoin in real life because bitcoin is not so acceptable psychically. but the good thing is we can buy everything with bitcoin on the web and on this forum. and the world is being digital nowadays,

I don't see any problem even if I can't spend my bitcoin anywhere, as I can convert it to my local currency whenever I want with least fees and speedy transaction.
