DyslexicZombei's MasterNode Services for Full Node Owners
===============================================================================================
This thread is the Full Node offshoot of the related Community Node thread.
1000 DRK minimum is required for these full node setups. If you have less than 1000 DRK but would still like to participate in a node please keep an eye out in the near future for Batch 4 Community owned MasterNodes. Partial Nodes consist of 10-25% stakes at 100-250 DRK (temporarily closed to new reservations):
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/dyslexiczombeis-darkcoin-community-masternode-svcs-closed-nodes-2-4-5-refunds-626715Five community nodes fully consisting of partial stakes will be launching with RC3. If you're interested in a full node, unless you already contacted me previously about this, only
Batch 2 Full Node Reservations are currently open, as community response has been overwhelming for setup and management of Full Nodes by a forum vetted veteran IT Network Engineer.
FULL NODE RESERVATIONSBatch 1 - Sold Out
Batch 2 - For a limited time: FREE SETUP by a veteran IT Network Engineer & DoD certified InfoSec Specialist. Taking reservations ONLY at this time (no firm ETA however)
Please state RESERVED below to reserve your spot in my Batch 2 Full Node Setup Queue or you can send me a PM if you wish to remain anonymous. It's first come, first served and Batch 1 of Full Nodes needs to clear entirely before Batch 2 launches.
This thread is also to share information about how clients can prep encrypted Full Node Darkcoin Wallets.

Q: What's a Darkcoin MasterNode?
A: From the Wiki: "
Masternodes are network nodes, owned by the users of Darkcoin network. They perform the coin mixing service of DarkSend which anonymizes transactions. Users get rewarded with 20% of the mining output per block (without actually performing any mining themselves) through a "voting mechanism".
Masternodes require 1000 DRK to be set up as a negative incentive that disallows one party running or controlling too many of them.
In the future Masternodes, or the Masternode-payment system, could possibly be utilized for providing other kind of services, like blockchain hosting for thin-client functionality.
The masternode payment protocol will be implemented on the main Darkcoin network on May 24th June 20th, as Release Candidate status. For the time being over 100 masternodes operate on the Darkcoin network, however they are not receiving any payments."
Q: What's different about Full Nodes vs. Partial Nodes?
A: Full nodes have their 1000DRK wallet files controlled by the 100% stake owner. Thanks to RC3: I, the Network Engineer setting up your node, will not have access to the coins directly nor will I know your long, complex passphrase you use to encrypt your wallet(s). This tremendously reduces the risk to the full node owners stake funds by having the coins in controlled cold storage while still receiving the benefits of being a node operator.
Q: How does someone get started?
A: I'll contact you in the order you contacted me whether it's here, Reddit or on Darkcoin Talk. The placing in the Batch 1 Q is dependent upon the date/time you agreed to have me set up your Batch 1 Full Node.
You'll need to get or have your encrypted wallet file ready for me to associate it with your particular node. If you can have this done ahead of time, this will cut down setup time tremendously.
Q: What makes you qualified to run this service?
A: I'm a veteran Network Engineer who has worked at R&D labs, including a National Lab, for over 10 years. I'm comfortable both designing and working with new technology. In the last decade I have worked with tech products with TRL levels of 1-8 and I design custom, secure servers and/or networks for prototype systems for products with TRLs in the 3-7 range.
I've been an online electronics reseller taking advantage of arbitrage opportunities since 2003 with my wife on eBay: rainbowlady03. My first miners sold were 3 Jallys on eBay. I co-founded a large democratic Bitcoin Miners cooperative on the Group Buys forum and ordered 100TH+ of hashrate for community miners since last year (the only main issues are late or non-delivery/refund from HashFast and Bitmine). Since I've been active in the cryptoeconomy I do my best to defend my fellow miners and always have:

Because you never know when a company like HashFast is going to call you a liar on their Twitter feed.
