Having my first merit.

I've been posted yesterday night before I sleep. When I woke up and open bitcoin talk and check my post I'm shock  2 people merited it. This is my first merit  I cannot figure out my emotions when I saw that they give it to me.

Its too hard  earning merit from the word itself (Merit) meaning the quality of being particularly good, especially so as to deserve praise or reward.

But nothing is impossible you must  take time to the forum and post it all of your heart  other people will give you merit.

Thank you for sending me I really appreciate you and I assure that I cannot stop what I've started.

its really hard to earned merit, your felling got first merit its happen to me because when i created my account back on 2014 there was no merit system  Grin but luckily i already become hero member

and rejoined crypto industry this year

There is this joy that comes with merits. And there is something about merit. Merit comes when you least expected it. That is to say, you might spend a quality time on a post in order to make it quality in order to attract merits, but by the end of the day, you will see no merit.
On the other, you can make a post you didn't expect merits from and you would be merit.
So, it is important to make a quality post always.
Congratulations

Getting the first merit does have a different impression and of course we might not know if the post we can get merit.
I also experienced it too.
And, getting merit for the first time could support me to work better, learn more actively how to make good posts, constructive, informative, not out off topics, and also help answer questions with helpful information.

ANd from this, we can learn that actually getting merit is not as difficult as we thought as long as we really do the good posts.

Congrats but you don't have to make your topic as announcement for your first merit
Having first merit I really feel so happy  and it makes me more hardworking, creative to post.  And I assure to the forum  that  they  will not regret  for giving my first merit
butt sadly to say I don't have any merits heheheheh .

Creative posts don't mean they are good posts. Length, creativeness are not contributors for your post quality. New ideas are not creative posts. If you don't have new ideas, creative posts can not help.

When trying to write quality posts, a lot of people act as though they're writing a book report for school: putting facts that we already know into their own words. Nobody wants to read that, and you will not get merit for it. Moreover, the length of your post and the quality of your English are only minor factors. In trying to write a quality post worthy of merit, you should offer new ideas, personal experiences, or perspectives that other forum users will actually find new and interesting.

Again congrats for your first merit.

I think he's just happy with his first achievement here in this forum especially that merit is not that easy to gain.

It is good to celebrate your achievement and we're hoping that you will not settle on that kind of achievement.

Help yourself grow and achieve more merits by making quality and informative post that we will all benefit.

Congrats!.... That's the reward for a good job , which means that anything you find yourself doing, you should do it to the best of your ability , wish you well .
And smithing that can cause or attract Merit is base on proper research and personal knowledge which can be impact into one another without misleading them, really merit is been given through hard work of users because it's a reward that showed that you as a user is developing in different ramifications of cryptocurrency related information or messages.

The first step is always the hardest step, and that's what many persons fail to understand, but for the fact that you have taken that first step to contribute to this forum, you shall achieve the same results those who did same long time ago did....

If there is one thing expensive thought me in this forum, its the fact that, once your good, you would be recognised and appreciated. Again, its no longer the era when merits are actually difficult for newbies as most ranked up users are rather patriotic and always willing to help newbies or beginners rank up. Its more like a way of keeping beginners but, the good once motivated. You know, the criteria for meriting are actually stepped down a lot except in the case where an account is suspected to be an alt. Trust me, you could sense it but lack of evidence is what keeps the account in existence.

Another thing you should know is that, once you've got at least 1merit, quite a few more would follow. Keep up the good work and your sure to archive your goals. Win with the forum.

Merit is very important on this forum as it signifies that someone is contributing quality posts on this forum, that is why it brings good feelings especially when you first noticed a user that merit one or two of your posts, but as you continue to receive the merit, it will later be normal to you, although it will still bring good feelings always but you will not be as surprised as you were the first time you received merit. If you continue to contribute quality posts, or post something that can make another user merit you, you will continue to earn more merits.

Newbie here and no merit yet. Pretty crazy and daunting seeing people with hundreds of merits.

Well, better late than never coming to this forum! Crypto is still young, hope to learn and contribute.

I was like you once. Saw people with hundreds and thousands. And that was after the ranking overhaul because back then, ranking up was way easier before they were implemented Cheesy

Even though this is not from your post and I see the merit comes from a signed wallet, so this is not a problem I still congratulate you, I hope this can be the beginning where you understand in terms of these merits.

You will know-how in the future to stay active in this forum and provide quality posts with good discussion about bitcoin, this is not easy but I am sure you are really looking forward to being active in this forum.

The Jr.member target has been reached just waiting for the activity to increase your rank.
That's just fine in my opinion. That means op did try his best to sign a wallet for ognasty's thread even If op just joined this forum not long ago base on his profile dtae of registration . Compared to before I was a newbie, earning a merit didn't come as fast as newbies nowadays since I joined forum on 2018 and few days later the merit is implemented by theymos so  I don't have knowledge what it is until I learn it later. Let's hope that the first earned merit will encourage op to engage more forum discussions and contribute to the forum without expecting something in return.

Hello, OP.
Congrats to your first few merits! Smiley
I just would like to suggest that if you're wanting to have more "opportunity" or likely to get more then you should probably don't just abandon the threads that you're making.
I just looked up to your post history and it seems like you're not active to each threads you made. You haven't made any replies to anyone that comments to your thread. :/

Congratulations now get used to if you work hard you would get merit and pick up from there, I didn't feel to much excited when I got my first merit maybe because I just did my best without even thinking about merit,
Newbies can learn from that, your amount of appearance of topics with quality puts your profile in the way of merit, figure out a way to make yourself available with meritable post and not relenting on one or two merit, always turn up the energy, appearance, quality you give.

A bit beyond the scope here, if anyone is wondering which post they got their first Merit for, when, and who awarded it, I’ve drafted a Google Sheet with the information for every non-banned forum member:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_I7WfxSnzOe7wvjE9dJ-aqH59PnfsMnKSVzycYljrx0/edit?usp=sharing

The link within each row will take you to the associated first merited post.

You’ll have to search for your name on the second column of the Sheet by either scrolling down or using +F (you may wish to delimit the search scope to a specific column, otherwise you’ll also see the entries under column Meriter Name – where you were the first meriter to a given profile).

Note: Data as of 21/05/2021

I also experienced the same thing when I got my first merit from someone. We should be the role model of the newbies who recently joined in this forum and to encourage them to post more constructive post or whatever post that will benefit all of us then those newbies will get encouraged to do so what we advised them to do. Keep engaging more threads and read more. Earning your first merit is the start of your journey.

When I first entered bitcointalk, there were no merit system yet and you can rank up through the count of your activity. I find it effective that merit was introduced because it made sure that everyone would post reliable and knowledgeable comments or topics in the forum. When I first recieved a merit, I was so happy and I felt like I am doing my part here in the forum. I felt like I am doing my role to share my experiences, wisdom and tips specially to newbies. I am glad I was able to earn more as time passes by and I would advice you all that instead of pressuring so you can get a higher rank, savor your moments here in the forum and be glad that other people are learning from you.

One of the most memorable parts of the forum is when you received your first merit by that you want to crave more merit by continuing having good content good luck to your journey this will serve as a stepping stone to you.

Again you don't need to push yourself just to achieve a higher rank immediately take time to deepen your knowledge by that it's easier to you to rank up.
