It's a 50/50 i guess. My uncle was a nicotine addict for so long but has since stopped smoking cig and switched to vaping. He relapsed a few times here and there but I think it does kind of work.
Actually, I prefer coffee above cigarettes. Once I quit smoking for 3 months because I tried a new coffee recipe. 
I think that electric cigarettes are less dangerous than traditional ones. But in any case, this is all dangerous and leads to cancer. People begin to think about their health only when they have problems. So why not start right now and quit this bad habit?
I personal think that it's bullshit, but there is a few stories of people who was smoking for 10 years and with electric cigarette stop smoked. I'm a smoker and i would like to stop that's why i need your advice.
Personally I don't like Cigarette, so if you want to stop I believe the first step is self determination by believing in yourself that you can actually stop and then also strong willed that even when you have the urge, you will resist it

Vaping is far dangerous than a regular smoking because the chemical content of Vape juice specially when burned are said to be dangerous and can make our life shorter .

electronic cigarettes don't excite me too much, I tried them but they didn't make me stop smoking, on the contrary I smoked more, maybe the patches are more effective

if you can just quit smoking 100% then that's better. but vaping in exchange of smoking cig should be a first step of course to being a 100% non smoker in the long run.
I am a smoker and I quit 3 years ago by eating spices and always exercising.
Let's reason logically.

Maybe it's a yes but if the juice are zero nicotine then it's a big yes.
I quitted thanks to an e-cig, that's true. Tried nicotine gums and patches before that, only wasted my time.
My partner is a hard smoker too and started doing that since he is in highschool. But when e-cigarettes were introduce to the market he switched to it and the result for him is good. I think it depends for each smoker on what they prefer but whatever it is for sure it has a bad effect to our body. 
I smoke and i don't like at all the E cigarette because i don't feel the nicotine at all on it. Maybe i need the sensation of hot smoke on each puff. Idk. I have some friends who try to quit smoking with an E cig, and after all they end smoking the double. So, that's why i say the classic burning cigarette is the best one.

It is not going to do more harm than inhaling tobacco smokes. 
Anyway smoking is injurious to health even if it done in e cigarette.

That's the lithium ion battery in the e-cig the same thing happens to phones it just doesn't get reported that much , though both things are pretty rare.

Not everybody , especially people that smoked for decades are able to just stop their addiction (and nicotine is one of the most addictive substances)you just upgraded your vice turned into electric.
slowly reducing the nicotine in your vape liquid and then stopping should be the goal !
At least for now science is pretty sure that vaping is a lot less harmful than cigarettes (also cheaper) because it's not combusting tobacco
it also has no tar that'll build up in your lungs etc. , but we can't be sure about the real danger of E-Cigs for now we'll probably know for sure in a decade or two.
E cigarettes also do the same harm as tobacco might less a bit,I don't think it helped anyone to quit smoking completely from personal experience because many of my firends triedn and just stopped them because of no use.

Mmmmm.... I don't think it is the most healthy solution to quit smoking but I know people who have been able to leave the cigarette with them, they add nicotine to the electric cigarette and then they start dropping down the nicotine dose little by little.
Well that is a great technique so that they can leave a little addiction to the cigarette, maybe, when they add smaller doses they can begin to get bored and leave it little by little, although I support that they begin to do another activity that replaces the ances of the cigarette.
