I was out walking with my dog on the campus, it was the weekend, peace and quiet, suddenly a securitycar rolled past me, it was a absolutely silent electric car. sneaky bastards.

Looking for cars that run on CO2, producing oxygen as result. Wink
That's not how physics works. Breaking up CO2 into carbon and oxygen requires energy, it is impossible to produce energy this way.

But CO2/Methane reaction releases water, and only about half as efficient as gasoline/oxygen Cheesy Given the relatively cheap production and renewability of methane, might be a good idea.
Why would you want CO2 to react with Methane, instead of burning the methane? That seems like a terrible way to get carbonmonoxide.
CO2 + CH4 → 2 H2 + 2 CO
+1
And I don't see why methane would be anyless effective than other hydrocarbons
CH4 + 3O2  => 4H2O + CO2

I would like to buy one, but the question is can it handle the wear you put on your gas car?  you think the electrical circuits go bad after a while, so they will not outlast the gas engine vehicles out there.  I would love to have to one to tear apart to learn from.

I feel like electric cars are like Bitcoin, like big revolution starter, but not the one that will last, more interlevel in car progress. Looking for cars that run on CO2, producing oxygen as result. Wink
Lmao. Can't wait to see that happen.  Roll Eyes

I'd totally get a Tesla if I had the monies for it. Even the "cheaper" model seems to be a bit above my price-range though.
$35k is not alot for an innovative ground breaking entry into the electric automotive world.
If you think so it is not the right car for you.
I think it's a lot for _me_. That's what I'm saying. Cars tend to cost considerably here too. Didn't intend the "s like that, sorry lol.

I hadn't checked the price for 3, I just read a local article some time back stating the X would cost around 100K in euro.

How long will electric cars last? What happens by the time your battery wears out? A 1970's gasoline car can still drive if well maintained. But if you have to replace batteries after 5 to 10 years, you'll spend like 20 grand on a car that is not worth is anymore.
Do people who buy these cars think about this? Currently there are barely any electric cars older than 5 years, so there is no real experience with battery life. But it is a concern.
