I too have pulled the plug.

You should trust no one in the Bitcoin space and I have been suspicious for some time now. I too haven't had any kind of payout in 2 months and I wonder if I ever will now. I just cant take the risk.

I would go back if I am proved wrong and things get back to normal.

Moved 7 Th/s to another pool until the last two blocks have been payed out. I completely understand and appreciate Wiz's hard work and busy schedule but must be sure after almost 2 months of no payouts I make a move to a more stable pool until this is worked out.

I pulled the plug too. I feel like I wasted 3 months at 9 TH/s. Oh well.

Why doesn't Eligius signal SegWit? We need answers... What is going on can someone explain! We are mining in the dark here... Even if we switch what happens to our earnings up to this point!!???

This blind flight (aka missing stats) is getting annoying.

Also, Eligius doesn't seem to signal SegWit, so it's time for a change.

So long, it was nice for the time it lasted.

It might be theoretically possible, but I don't know how wizkid057 has changed things since I moved on, and I'm not sure it'd be the best use of my time.
(Keep in mind that when I ran the pool, I never had any web stats at all... that was always contributed by someone else)
All that is really needed to keep people using the pool is a simple restful web query that returns the number of shares credited to a BTC address as a JSON dict.  That way people would know their work was being counted.

From there, including the total shares owed would I think allow people to compute BTC owed (the number of blocks mined and total BTC paid from eligius can be pulled from the blockchain).  Any other stats that are handy can be included in the JSON dict.  People could contribute scripts that pull the JSON stats and compute and output fancier stats.  Polling on a regular basis allows time graphs - and so on.

Why could[n't] we have the old stats until the new are available!??
He's not just changing the stats. The pool's reward system changed too. The old stats never supported the new reward system.

Hey Luke, it says Eligius is one of your projects/didn't I read somewhere that you created it?  Could you help out with a temporary stats page if wizkid is too bogged down?  Grin

Do you still have a role on the admin side of this pool. Is it all wizkid now?

I am not concerned about the future. I am concerned about the past! What will happen to my earnings. We have no clue what is happening. Why could we have the old stats until the new are available!?? I dont doubt anyone I just want some information. We are in the dark here!!!

If you're really worried, you could mine on another pool temporarily. There's nothing saying you have to be monogamous with Eligius. :p

(Not that I have any reason to doubt wizkid057 will make good on everything.)

So I should feel bad for wanting to know what will happen with one month of mining profits @40GH? Is there any clue on the estimated time of payout? Is there any guarantee that we will get the earnings? What do you mean manual payout? What will happen if he goes on a long vacation after 80h/week of work?
  • Don't feel bad.
  • Time estimate is after the mentioned job that pool owner is running.
  • There are no guarantees in bitcoin, however this pool has been an honest one.
  • The pool owner can do a manual payout even without the stats page working - meaning that you will get paid if you contributed to the solutions of recent rounds.
  • As WK mentioned in an earlier post, a vacation might actually be a good idea for more time to work on  'side projects' - such as this pool.
  • If you are new, you are probably not use to the uncertainty of transitional times. If you aren't new, I'm sure you understand.

Is there anyway to know what my pay out is and when I am going to get it?

Apparently not as of yet. If this information is critical to you, I might suggest that you mine on a pool with higher fees that can afford to pay a programmer instead of relying on volunteers.    You can either pay the costs of operating the mining pool in BTC or you can pay it in time.  I mine on Eligius because I prefer patiently spending time rather than spending BTC.

The funds for the last 2 solved blocks are still unspent, you can check the wallet yourself:  1LfZEyNADY4A9thHu8rTh6Psd5FecMPgJ8.  When wizkid finishes his 80 hour/week project and gets some spare time to work for us for free, I'm sure he will do a manual payout.

Since it appears wizkid is short on time at the moment, I would expect that responding to posts here about the estimates of the timing of future events would be his last priority behind doing the manual payout and getting the stats page up.

Sorry, I didn't understand. I think you didn't answer my question. Is there anyway to know what my pay out is and when I am going to get it? Thank you!

Hi I had my miners on Eligius, but I removed them recently (1 week ago) since I had no stats.
Its been over a month from my last payment. How can I know when my next payment is coming and what to expect?

Thanks

Exactly the problem. I would point mine to eligius without delay with such stats. The longer this goes on the worse it gets (payout frequency).

...Really Huh I fail to see how your post is contributing.

Allow me to paste it again for you:

At this point it would be somewhat more difficult to go backward, since it would require redoing all servers again.

As mentioned many times, the pool itself is fully functional (as evidenced by our last block), just the front end is not done/working yet.

I'm likely going to just do up a temporary stats front end at the next opportunity just to have some basics available while work is done on the full setup.

Oh yeah, you're right, totally see the answer there about the pool's hash rate and payout period.
