This was the tweet from Mr.Whale which sparked the dump of bitcoin when Elon responded with a single word:

With several crypto youtubers posting immediately right after, this is the one I watched through it all to see what actually caused the 12% dump of the btc price since then.

Who knew yahoo finance had a show about crypto called none other than the crypto corner.
As much as I hate yahoo and surprised their still around, they do provide some valid points to what the ceo of tesla was doing buying all those bitcoins then doing a complete 180 to drive down its price.

I am pretty certain this all was just an attempt to thwart the main goal of cryptocurrency so to gain more customers for his companies.
In several ways:
1. Appear on a national syndicate television show and say something to garner an audience world-wide and have a play on words so to leave speculation for what everybody was expecting to happen but it didn't.
2. Once he had everyone's focus say something else which will leave a bad taste in those investors mouth.
3. Tweet out that using a certain cryptocurrency is bad for the environment but I am here to fix that with said other crytpocurrency he garnered speculation on.
4. Present his solution that the company in which he owns will be providing clean energy to those who are using the cryptocurrency which is bad for the environment.
5. Gather more attention to said company and tells of the first cryptocurrency will be paying for his second company's journey into space.

Seems like he had it all thought out and is just setting his plan in motion.
One step at a time.

Elon musk is a smart guy, he pretty much knows where to find the money he needs to get his babies into space... is lying in crypto, fiat might have it but there is so much paper work to do. And his answer still doubles back to crypto.

At this moment his still a crypto ambassador but I see him trying to get his numbers favour his business and doge....in this short time it wouldn't surprise me to see Tesla go green on the market.

In my very own opinion, based on what I am read on the internet and what I am noticing since Elon Musk and Tesla adopt cryptocurrency as their partners in their company many happen. Just for example when Elon Musk hype the meme coin which is the dogecoin, it hypes very well, and to the extent that the doge surges up and another thing is the bitcoin. When Tesla which is own by the famous and manipulator Elon Musk the market and the bitcoin extent to its limit also. Elon Musk is using crypto of course to boost Tesla and Space X but the crypto is also using him to manipulate the market.

I have the same vibes coming from what he is like and what he has done in the past when it comes to his company and share holders.
He'll ride the wave until the tide comes in as they say.
He isnt a genius for nothing so obviously has something instore for doge coin as it was mentioned several times form him, whether it be a joke or to be taken seriously, it will be the currency used for his spacex journeys and most possibly on mars.
Unless he is just testing out the crypto waters and just going to create his own coin to use there similar to doge but with his face on it. Grin

His companies were growing and falling in value long before all this new hype with cryptocurrency, which is so interesting for everyone again because of its rise in price. Its role in the popularization of cryptocurrency is difficult to overestimate and cannot be underestimated. It's one thing how you personally feel about him and his companies, their products and so on. Another thing is that this guy was one of the first large billionaires to publicly support and bought bitcoin himself. It was very timely and important for the market, so please, fans of criticism. Better to do something of comparable benefit yourself first.

How would supporting crypto boost his companies? When he announced that Tesla bought Bitcoin, his shares fell 5%, because investors didn't like such risky move. And it's not like paying with Bitcoin or Dogecoin for his products is going to get him more sales, people who would use crypto would otherwise use fiat if they couldn't, so crypto is not netting him new customers.

Elon is into crypto mostly for the memes and because he realizes how bad the inflation is becoming.

Nope they are not the same Mcafee hype so many shitcoins and many people lost a lot of money from his doings compare to elon where he really pump up the Doge coins and make those holders earn a lot of money from holding it for long time. Although many lose due to buying it from FOMO but I can still say that they are far from each other if we really compare them. Although I will agree with you if you think his main intention is to earn from it, we shouldn't get surprise about it since Elon is businessman and he will do whatever it takes just to gain a profit on all of his investment.
