So we not surprise when elon reach into his deep pocket to buy twitter in billion dollar. Because he have unlimited money.

I was imagine when he find this forum that look unique because Satoshi was create this forum like he create bitcoin,
and after he look unique and look philanthropy then he want to buy this forum,

are you guy agree if Elon buy bitcointalk forum?,
that look superior if bitcointalk owned by a richest person like elon.

You know, first, let's find out why Elon Musk bought the Twitter platform. I think the reason why he bought it is that Twitter has 340M-350M followers or more worldwide at this time. Then he plans to have an 8$ monthly payment for each of their users of this platform. Just say that only 1/4 of the followers will be active there who will pay 8$/monthly, do you think that is a small amount for Elon Musk?

Now my question to you is, how many followers or members do you think this bitcointalk forum has in the whole world today? It didn't even reach 100k community members here dude.

I don't know what's going on in your brain, but as some say here, Elon Musk won't waste his time on this in my opinion, so if Elon Musk buys it even if he knows it's impossible, it will come out like a run this forum that has a monthly bill as he does with Twitter apps, and I also think that the creator of this forum will not agree to such a thing because Elon musk will not know about bitcoin or cryptocurrency if it is not also about Blockchain technology this forum is the source as far as I know.

Elon could prefer Reddit to the Bitcointalk forum, in my opinion. Additionally, I doubt he would be interested in purchasing the forum unless he can generate billions of dollars in profits each month for shareholders. Furthermore, considering his larger than life personality, Elon wouldn't buy the forum because it wouldn't give him as much publicity  and high he needs to feed his ego as it should considering that the forum is sort of semi-closed.

No, he won't want to buy Bitcointalk, never.

Because bitcointalk is not a fancy platform to build connections and shill your posts to walls, notifications of other users who are in or not in your connection/ friend/ follower list.

It is different than social media platforms like Facebook or Twitter when your notifications will be spammed with many statuses and tweets from others.

Bitcointalk is not a place for Elon Musk to play with his jokes that he always loves to do.
There's even a higher tendency for him to pay someone to build his own community platform because he has the money and popularity to do so, than to settle in this forum. Also, I think elon musk is targeting non-crypto users more because the things he would state will easily drive them crazy of following his 'calls' unlikely of crypto-inclined people who'd criticize some of his decisions on which is which, in terms of investment. I doubt as well that the owner of this forum would sell this easily, especially if he/she is earning enough from multiple projects being released weekly or more frequent. Also, if we would somehow 'read' his mind, he'd go directly for things which will generate bigger profit or power perhaps, to save him time.

Elon would not purchase items if he could not profit from it or if he have a brilliant idea for it. The probability of Elon buying this forum is too low; instead of buying this forum, he will just spend it to buy more bitcoins. I don't really see any reason that can trigger Elon to buy this, unless this is some kind of social media, like recently when he bought Twitter, which he spends ton of cash. We still don't know how he can profit from it, but I am sure that he is using Twitter to earn money or use it in his future projects.

Twitter and Bitcointalk aren't the same.

Elon Musk can get profits from Twitter. Can he get profit from Bitcointalk if the worst thing happens, and he bought it? Maybe he can get profit from advertisements coming from different website but overall, I don't see Theymos selling the forum to some weird businessman like Elon Musk. I don't see Theymos selling the forum for no important reason, and it will be a disgrace since this forum was created by Satoshi. I mean the value of this forum is way higher than any might think here.

This will never happen, Elon Musk is looking for profit in everything he deals with, and there are a lot of ideological people here, so he will not be able to get what he needs here. I am sure that he have known about this forum for a long time, but he does not even have an account here (I think so), so yourself understand what interest he has in bitcointalk.

Elon Musk is a businessman, he likes to buy what will give him profits. Look at the way he changes Twitter from being free to a paid social media($8 for a verified account). If Elon Musk mistakenly buys Btt forum will he charge for the post we make here? Probably he will. Every businessman has a way to get his money back from the investment they make.

In short, this forum is not for sale. Selling this forum will jeopardize what this forum stands for(help in educating, and spreading awareness of crypto and knowledge to the whole world)

Instead of thinking of buying it, I think that he'll flex with a newbie account and has a donator tag on it. Yes, the same amount of donation that the early members have made.
And if converted to the price right now, you do the calculations and that's what I think that he'll do instead of the idea of buying the forum. He can do that and spend the free money that he's got in his deep pockets.

BTT looks ugly and nobody would want to buy it.
I actually like the old-school look. Only thing i would improve is mobile support.

why the hell would Musk want to buy a forum that would bring him no financial gains? Moreover, do you actually think that the guys running the forum would allow it? The forum is driven by people who want to pass along everything that Bitcoin represents, and it is not centralization which would be what would happen in case Elon Musk boought the forum.

BTT looks ugly and nobody would want to buy it. Besides, it has a 5-digit Alexa rating, an almighty fall from the 3000-ish rank it has during the ICO heyday. In other words, there is not much traffic coming here compared to other platforms.

Bitcointalk is like the other forum out there but the difference is Satoshi created Bitcointalk for the next discussion about bitcoin. I can not imagine what Bitcointalk would be if he bought Bitcointalk. Maybe he will spread his propaganda or his dirty plan to people. I really hope that he does not want to buy Bitcointalk. But as a businessman, Elon may try to search for other things that can make him more popular than buying Bitcointalk so I do not see that he will be interested in buying Bitcointalk.

Even if he wants to buy the forum, it's all up to the themoys, not him so I think there's nothing to be afraid of, but it's interesting this OP's thought. Like everyone here, I wouldn't think Elon would buy the forum because it has nothing to do with his current job. This is a forum dedicated to crypto lovers, not a vast social network like Twitter. Maybe he will buy back bitcointalk if he is a real crypto investor and his work is related to crypto.

It's not actually theymos who will decide on this matter since he just in charge on overseeing the forum but the ownership still belongs to Siriur or Satoshi since they are the one who founded this forum and the transfer of responsibility is just done due to absence of the owner. This forum is for the public and I’m sure theymos will not gonna decide on this matter because the answer is already determined and no need for a decision.

Twitter is chaotic with bunch of hypocrits and probably worst than shit poster here in the forum. Let just cancerous vibes stay on twitter and keeps the forum safe.

First of all Satoshi won’t approve this.

Let’s suppose in some parallel universe it happens, next we know

1. Theymos is fired
2. For legendary status you have to pay $8/month
3. Merits becomes new shitcoin

Wonderful. Your answer made me laugh heartily Grin. In addition to what you said, Elon fires the entire staff and then warns everyone that the forum is on the verge of ruin and orders everyone to work harder. KYC will also be introduced for verification, and alternative accounts will come to an end. As a result, users will massively move to another new forum, which will become like today's but without Elon Musk's rules. (As is happening now with Twitter users.)
But seriously speaking, I think that Musk has really great opportunities, and he can afford to buy any toy. There is nothing in this world that is not for sale. Another question is whether Musk needs it. As long as he has Twitter and Musk is trying to make it what he wants, I think other purchases will not be interesting.

Because he have unlimited money.

No, he doesn't. And as a fun fact, it can happen (in a distant future) that Bitcointalk treasury will be richer than Elon. How about that?

are you guy agree if Elon buy bitcointalk forum?,

Were you asked if you agree Twitter to be sold to Elon?
However, I'll be nice and will answer: no, I would not agree. Elon would change the forum in ways I would most probably not like.
Plus, he (and many agencies and other fat wallets) would have access to private information they should not.

that look superior if bitcointalk owned by a richest person like elon.

Not at all. You should stop living in fairy tales and realize than not everything he touches becomes superior.

Hehehe, Elon setting his eyes on this forum? A highly unlikely happenstance. Like everyone has said, he only goes for what rakes in money and at present, the purchase of Twitter really did a number on his account and his looking to make it up, hence his strident measures and changes.

Inasmuch as he is an eccentric and spontaneous businessman, he's also calculative and profit driven. So if wants to claim ownership of the Bitcoin forum, you'd have to ask, what does he stand to gain?

OP what if Elon Musk decides to buy your community ? This forum is not like other social media that everything goes on,it was created for the knowledge of cryptocurrency Bitcoin by Satoshi which makes it not welcoming to so many people that don't even know or heard of Bitcoin. Elon is a business man and will not want to invest in something that he wouldn't benefit from or make profit from.

Well, anything is possible, but I'm curious about who will transfer the domain name server and hosting server to him. Is it Satoshi or Theymos? If it's Satoshi then that's not impossible by anymeans because he cannot be contacted.

Well, that's too far ahead to think of such thing because Elon will never going to be interested in Bitcointalk, as this community were only limited to the people who's interest is very common "Cryptocurrency" alone.
If miraculously, Elon grows an interest in this community, he will most probably going to change his mind eventually, especially when after he finds out that half or more of the users here were against him and doesn't likely to be influenced to what everything his mind says.

Even Elon Musk offer few billion dollars to buy Bitcointalk, I'm pretty sure theymos wouldn't want to sold Bitcointalk to him since he's not looking to make money through this forum. He did paused the auction that advertise on Bitcointalk via forum ads because he said he already have enough money to pay the hosting and moderators fees [1] so it's impossible for theymos to sell this forum to Elon Musk.
