This is what we can read in the github and I have to say that the 1.1.4 version really fix a lot of annoying bugs and run (after a while...) like a train.
Problems have this coin are known and it's a risky investment but... this is a kind of people working on the coin with a plan and a sure proof of bugfixing.
So it seems a good takeover for me. This is all the info I have, we can trust this guys? Everyone can decide.
Really don't understand de DOX stuff and others FUD I read here, it's possible that the bitcointalk ANN it's not updated?

Now i have started the Ember 1.1.4.exe and my mined Embercoins are now Back...

Try to make a fresh install of the 1.1.4 version exe. Rename your actual folder in EmberXX then run the 1.1.4 exe. Wait 30 seconds then File - Exit.
Now copy your wallet.dat in the Ember folder in appdata the exe just create (DO NOT RENAME!) peers.dat if you have, conf file or snapshot files I just posted one 2h ago). When done. Run again the 1.1.4 exe. Check what's up I never migrate from a so old version

After a lot of tries I find the correct conf and a lot of peers added.
Follow step by step the instructions on the embercoin download page:

Newest version of wallet is Staking Fix Release v1.1.4 be sure you have this version running, check it in Debug - About Ember
Now close your new wallet fresh installed, with File - Exit
Download and save and unzip this folder "Ember_baseconf_snapshot":

Why so many problems with wallet? I also had problem with very slow sync but i have downloaded the google drive files and replaced with my files (keep old wallet.dat file) and my wallet was updated in few minutes, check here: https://www.embercoin.io/download for 8 october 1.1.4 wallet version.
For people that still have problem try to add the wallet to other PC or buy a VPS and encrypt your wallet and stop saying is scam.
I think people just want to get very cheap price so they can buy as many as possible then enjoy profit.

I really like this coin and the earning opportunity, this means that all other high POS reward coins like B3 and Goku are scam just because we get more free coins staking them?

not to fud... i hv invested 5mil emb at 2 sat since 11 days till now havent receive any stakes, now emb price crash until 20-30 lithoshi, lost like 85% i have invested in
