I have sent coins to my wallet in cryptopia and it says complete on the ember wallet but nothing on cryptopia. whats happening? Huh
Again, check the transaction on block explorer, it may have not gone out. First issue is different addresses, which I don't really understand how this could happen but it did, second issue is with the wallet itself that it accepted transactions even if not connected and/or synchronized. These appear in your wallet, the balance is locked, but they did not go out.

I'd suggest to make a backup of your wallet.dat before attempting any transactions, so in worst case you can simply restore that.

sending and receiving funds does not work
Check your address and balance on block explorer. Had the same happening before, the balance was on another address, thus could not be sent. You can try to import the private key or restore a backup of you wallet so you have.

I staking 10M EMB over 21 days buy no get reward. Sad
Move them into coinsmarkets.com. The wallet and blockchain still has some problems. There is this new wallet v1.1.5, hope it resolves the issues, but we have to see.

scam coin and dev , all my embercoin are worthless  Undecided not even 1 sat worth , i bought them @ 20-30 sat

Hi, Are you sure you mean 20-30sats as it was never that high ? I think you can get 10million for 10millibitcoin at the mo. There aren't many buyers even at that price if you want to sell any so surprised people are still able to sell any.

Look at the code and the wallets. Most of them are based on the original Bitcoin, so they are good.

Given lack of devs or supporters, yes I agree and that is what I wrote. A coin is only as good as it is supported from the community.

For EMB, I don't understand that "soft fork" rubbish, why would it affect the blockchain?

@FieryDawn I'd suggest, as you claim to be the current Dev and Admin and Maintainer and everything else, to be present here. People have questions and are highly uncertain. Also it would make sense to provide your identity if you seriously want to run this coin. Otherwise it will spiral down the drain in no time with no chance to return.

I keep hearing bad things about this coin. Is there any positives? And what's the deal with the dev, why aren't they here to calm some nerves?
The coin is not bad, no coin is bad. It just depends on the support a particular coin gets.

There was an update ~2 weeks ago for the wallet, since then everything appears to go downwards. That new wallet was said to be mandatory, and came together with a bootstrapped blockchain and picked nodes. The same time there was that announcement that there may be changes to the latter. Does not make sense at all, unless something happened to that blockchain.

You can still sync the original one from day one, but it takes 2....3 days to complete. In the moment I don't trust that wallet client as I wrote and I keep my EMB at an exchange.

"The coin is not bad, no coin is bad." This is simply not true. Many coins have very bad code, no skilled developer, centralization of coin supply and many many other problems such as dead block explorer or *COUGHS* Hyper-Inflation. For you to tell me "no coin is bad" I can tell you 100% have no sweet clue what you are talking about. Welcome to Crypto.

Hello,

To everyone with problems: Read the usage notes that came with your wallet on the mandatory upgrade. They're everywhere you got the wallet from. They tell you how to use it. What happened was that shortly after the last upgrade there was an unintentional soft-fork that resulted from corrected math making it's way onto the blockchain that previous wallets objected to stubbornly insisted that the value was below 0 when it wasn't. That's a simple version of what happened. What this means is you are probably on the wrong chain and your coins are safe on the correct chain.

As for the idea that miniscule amounts coming into my account denote scam behavior. Not at all. I've been running my video card CONSTANTLY since shortly after starting my work on this project. You can find my address mining at coinminers.net (it's the same address.) It is a hybrid PoW/PoS system and when I joined the largest question was why PoS would stop working and that's when I looked at the code and determined that PoS happened only when PoW did. So keeping my little video card constantly on or as close to it as I can is one of my ways of supporting everyone. Right now PoW hash rate looks like there's no problems, but it wasn't always the case.

Furthermore, I put $650 at the time was 4 sats of my own money into this project shortly after receiving several large donations from the current holders back then as thanks for working on the project. I do not often come around here, maybe it's time to change that.

The code is here: https://github.com/EmberCoin/Ember

There is also an EmberProject, where this supposedly was forked from, that seems to be the original coin. https://github.com/EmberProject

Now one would have to compare the both, then bring the code up to current standards and make a working wallet/client.

Well, someone could take over the helm (again) as it happened with Inflationcoin. Bad developer, what is there to develop anyway, does not make is a bad coin per se. Someone simply needs to make a working wallet, and then there could community support come in. Up to us.
