https://emercoin.mintr.org/ now shows the network share of clients running v0.6.0 and those running earlier versions. Thank you to Valermos for this update!

dont know guys what are you talking about, but I vouch Emercoin and sure that it have huge potential

I agree with you but some the potential fades and turned out to be nothing.  Let's hope EMC can get back on track.

What has faded? Development continue to push forward. It only gets better each day.

I agree. Not to mention the codebase has become very solid since the bitcoin 0.10.2 ui integration and now with the merged mining.

What is your plan to restore your reputation from the spam? In networking profession, this platform has considerable solutions such as the SSH feature. I read the tutorial and it is excellent down to the details. I know the real potential of this platform, but what does technology worth if it does not get "credited" by users... How will you strike back to the spammers?

This is a significant concern. Thread hit by a spam should be recovered, and the control of the leading account should be given to the right people that can take care of it by mitigating the damage done by former account owner. I think that emer needs to have an automated service authorized to take over busted accounts and restore missing posts if their validity is confirmed by humans.

Or perhaps you guys could learn to read and be patient. I'm a patient person and this is starting to anger me at this point...

Thanks to someone's help on the emc slack, I'm able to share an easy way to see progress towards Merged Mining:

If you are running the new v0.6.0 version, you can just consult the emercoin debug.log as follows:

Code:
$ more /var/lib/emc/.emercoin/debug.log | grep SetBestChain | tail -1
2017-02-22 23:23:42 SetBestChain: 19 of last 100 blocks above version 4

Obviously you need to tweak that command if your debug.log is in a different place.

Oleg Khovayko, Emercoin CTO, told ForkLog the project’s assumed rivals were trying to undermine the company’s reputation with spam in Slack channel.
According to Khovaiko, the attacks are growing more sophisticated as the spammers mimic Emercoin’s official newsletters, and use a popular corporate messenger app for that purpose.
Thus, a user named buycoin sends out ads of the company’s solution based on outdated software to users having some relation to cryptocurrencies.

Devs, when we can use Voip service?

1. Voip service already works in test mode, see details here:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.17805544

2. Currently, we focused on Merged Mining release (0.6.0), so other projects temporary frozen right now.
