Difference between staking and mining
Mining requires doing work (i.e. using electricity to power machines that perform the proof of work with high end systems) to produce blocks and earn coins.
Staking generally requires those that are staking to lock up their coins for some period of time (i.e. can't spend the coins) for a staker to have a chance of being selected to produce a block and collect the block reward.

Do you have any update on the unprocessed payouts from the Emercoin Idea contest of 2016? There are several participants still waiting for the undistributed EMC of the contest.
I personally have as well contributed to the contest (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.14419373) and have been waiting as well. I reached out several times to the Emercoin team but never got any response which shines quite a bad light on Emercoin as a whole. They do not seem to care much about their community as well as not realizing their promises.

If so, why doesnt your team act anonymously? Your answer above means only one thing - the team doesnt have offices at all (or they dont belong to the team). It seems to me that you are freelancers doing work from your own appartments.However, with the development of the project we have acquired several offices in the countries mentioned above. At the moment, we are actively working on the legal side of the project.
