Even everything above is followed correctly, still there's no guarantee that project will be good. However, if someone does enough research it's possible to avoid scam project. I am really bored on bounty and given up participating too.

There is absolutely nothing that can guarantee what the outcome of any bounty could be, even when the tasks are limited, with stakes counted promptly, it's still isn't enough of an indication that the bounty would end, but when bounties by certain managers, you can be rest assured that there is a better possibility of it being successful (or at least) pay it's participants.
You made a point here, personally I had previously joined a bounty campaign devoid of any of the flaws or flags mentioned by the OP which ended up as scam.
Bidium was the bounty campaign it was well organized and weekly spreadsheet update was promptly and responses to enquiries on telegram too was prompt and quick however at the end of the campaign none of the hunters was paid thus it is not never a guarantee to get payment maybe the manager handling the job might be considered.

Some say its hard to find a legit project but this guy just mentioned what he can seems to find flaws on the project he joined. Thumbs up for you OP, it seems being vocal here on forum could really help in busting those scam projects. Telegram is one way of knowing it is as the discussing many legit question could somehow feel them unease as they are being persecuted. Then they will ban you for asking too much.

Good efforts dear and nice info about bounty scamming besides these all issues one major issue is if the project succeeds and go live in exchange but they delay in paying bounties and no response given in bounty thread or telegram channel, when you contact in main chat telegram channel they delete your message or ban you, The recent example is XDB which is trading now in market, They promised to pay in Q12020 but no response when asking when to pay the bounty rewards, This is serious issue and we all hunters must find solution for it.
many cases like that some time ago there was a place of exchange that got success from the bounty campaign and was able to get a hardcap but early last year they shut down the withdrawal process so that all cryptocurrency assets of traders were trapped in this exchange and could not make withdrawals, so it had to Be careful when you store assets in an exchange because their promises can be fake.

Well done mate. You have listed out great points that are sure to help a lot of bounty hunters who are new to the game and even some hardcore bounty hunters. Now a days too many projects done give out the promised tokens which leads to a very bad situation. I wish projects stay truthful to the bounty Hunter.

and always follow a popular or trusted reward manager.add value to the project.
But not all BM that have a bad reputation execute a bad project.
some projects even run their own campaigns without using the BM.

By following a campaign organized by a bounty manager who is already good, at least we reduce the potential to join a campaign from a scam project. Managers who have long been able to understand the projects they handle are scams or not and I don't think they want to risk their reputation.
To avoid bounty scam we must follow only those known project and handed by good manager. We can't stop encountering a scam bounty because of increasing came out project day by day but we can lessen to participate in that kind of campaign by always knowing all the aspect of their project and always follow your instinct. We must very careful of choosing project to participate, join to those popular one.

I love it when members like you makes an effort of jotting down every error of a project.
This is pure effort. Merits for you.

It is not easy to see all of this.
Most of them are hidden or if not bounty hunters doesn't care.
Indeed this will be a great help but only for those who cares.
Most of them just want money and will just blindly do anything for it.

You did well. Thumbs up!  Wink

Well i thinks this points need to be remember to all bounty hunters. After joined a bounty we should check the condition of the bounty it self. If there is something suspicious maybe you should stop and find another one.

This is very helpful, so that all people take part in preventing fraud cases that become a problem in 2018 after the 2017 fight. Thus fraud cases can increase and hope there will be no more. But I think it goes back to personal to react to it.

Thanks for the insight!

I tried to get into the whole bounty hunting, as it seemed interesting (there are so many projects out there promising the goods).
But yea, I guess that if you don't have an exceptionally good radar in finding the gems, you end up wasting a lot of time on carrying other people's gains.

Hope there'll be someone to figure out a verification system or even new kind of way to issues these bounties - never hurts to grab some coins by completing a few tasks  Grin Grin
Completing the task for 3 months or so, receive the rewards, and get listed to a certain exchanger that doesn't have a market value is still a waste of time and I experience that last year. It was a doomsday for me and all my hard work and effort seems to be useless but just a shitcoin filled in my wallet.
If we have a radar to detect if that particular bounty is legit, then everyone might use that one but we don't have. And only a thing that we usually use is common sense...to figure out by looking at their team's profile and as well the objective of this project that would emphasize legetimacy and transparency.

In fact, we do not know which project will deceive us. To avoid this we have to use our own knowledge, research ourselves. Even after that, we can't really say whether I will get paid. If we following your points will produce good results. Those are must-see points.

You have highlighted basically more than enough lapses that is evident in fraudulent Bounties.
now it is up to all Bounty hunters to conduct proper researches and identify one or more red flags before joining a Bounty.

Remember, if Bounty hunters can collectively ignore scam Bounties, then it will go off like a thin air

But the sad part is, majority of bounty hunters will do the shit bounties still! Because they like to take chances in scam projects because sometimes shit projects can pay you good, but this is absolutely a wrong idea nowadays! They are helping scammers! I hope with the time, people will realize!

It is better to just wait and not join a bounty that is suspected to be a scam than join and at the end not get anything meaningful out of it.
If all the projects I see have any inkling or iota of scam in them, I would prefer to stay without participating and continue with other forms of investment and trading.
It can be very frustrating, that after working for months, you now find out that it is a waste of time.

I know it is not an easy thing as a bounty manager, to see offers, yet are a scam, who would still pay you, but not your participants and still decline to take them.
This is more reason I will always respect some bounty managers.

I hate to see when spreadsheets are not updated every week promptly after the end of the week also when there is no indication of weekly time frames in the bounty thread and spreadsheet, it just depicts that team and bounty manager is non serious which is a really bad sign.
That is not so important. As long as the bounty ends, the spreadsheet is updated, everything will be fine. I'm just annoyed when the projects are constantly delaying the distribution, it seems they don't want to pay bounty hunters. I have seen hundreds of similar projects in just one year

Majority of the bounty campaigns tasks rules are almost similar. Too much post/shares i ignored because it’s true these  projects is looking fishy and it’s risky to banned for spamming in your social accounts from which you will promote. If reputable managers handle definitely it’s a legitimacy but i joined a lot of promising projects those handled from low rank accounts. Point 7. it’s not correct, All of reputable managers can't update weekly for some valid reasons.

Even if we follow all these rules and skip the campaigns that fall under these still we will be scammed. I have participated in campaigns that were run very professionally and everything was right even many hunters complained that the rules and bounty managers are strict but even such campaigns ended up not paying or scams. So there is no easy way out in my opinion.

The pointers that you have imparted to us are very relevant and very helpful especially to newbies. There are really indications that a project was really a red flag.  That's the reason why we really need to be very careful on choosing every project that we support. Don't be lazy on doing your own research. Besides our effort for more than months are at stake when we supported it.
