Thanks, still when I do that I see 0 EOS.

You have to call the claim contract function with parameter 0, which specifies the period which you wish to claim. Or alternatively you can call claimAll, which might cost more gas as it does a loop through all the days.

~25k new eth generated everyday, and 6.5k of them need to feed to EOS to maintain the price of the first 5 days investors.
I dont see 6.5k eth can be put into EOS everyday for the next subsequent 300+ days.  Gonna be a nightmare for the first 5 days investors.
It would be insane if they can raise so much eth in a day for the next 300 days.

Already 880 ETH into the contract

I invested yesterday with MyEtherWallet but don't see the tokens yet. Is it normal?

Or load the token details into the Ethereum Foundation Wallet (Mist) or MyEtherWallet with the following detail:

Token Address: 0x86fa049857e0209aa7d9e616f7eb3b3b78ecfdb0
Decimals: 18
Symbol: EOS
Name: EOS

This is insane, 600k ETH already for perion #0...

Actually some contributions might be for a different day.

This is contribution for the first 5 days period which is called period #0. This is not whole sum considering rest of days.

I know. My point is the ETH you see could be contribution to future days. You can buy for future days.

Go to the contract and look at the dailyTotals:

https://etherscan.io/address/0xd0a6e6c54dbc68db5db3a091b171a77407ff7ccf#readContract

And yes, you're right 600k ETH is in period #0, I thought you were quoting the ETH total for all days.

No total, just first period, #0. I hardly doubt it that during next 350 periods/days each time people will send at least 6000 ETH to sustain the initial price.

How do I participate? Send ETH to 0xd0a6e6c54dbc68db5db3a091b171a77407ff7ccf then wait?

What's this claim address 0xd0a6e6c54dbc68db5db3a091b171a77407ff7ccf good for?

What is surprising is given the performance of Steem and Bitshares after their respective launches, people aren't learning their lessons. Or maybe they all are willing to hold out for the same periods. Can't say.

Are you saying the performances of Steem and Bitshares were poor?  How so?  Their market caps seem to be doing well.  Dan claims that the combined traffic/transactions of Steem and Bitshares surpasses Bitcoin and Ethereum.

What I'm really curious about is the ability to do parallel processing and processing millions of transactions per second.  Parallel processing on a single computer is difficult to do, even for Microsoft, which has thousands of programmers.  I would imagine that this would be an order of magnitude more difficult to do on distributed nodes.  This has never been done before.  It's not like emulating how UNIX did parallel processing into Windows.  I don't know how a small team can pull this off.  And there is no good explanation of how they can do this on the white paper.  Am I missing something here?

They were poor from the moment they launched, take a look at Steem anyway and see that it has needed centralised intervention to manipulate its prices - the internal mechanism for one, and then hard forks which happen when the owners deem fit. Yes, it is performing well now but it is just reliant on actual pumps. And market caps of course... txs of Steem are happening just by using it. But how much is this is actually used to buy and sell like BTC? Coins that have much more practical use have far less the tx rates of Steem but that's just because of how Steem is used, paid out, exchanged.

Anyone investing now is hedging on a 400+ day long scam but gotta hand it to him, DL thought thru the game theory. This strategy puts daily "blocks" of 2M EOS up for grabs.

I don't see early investors profiting on the initial 200M EOS. Quick math to show why:

2 million ETH raised for initial 200M EOS - beginning trades at 0.01
200K ETH raised, EOS trades at 0.001
Currently at 400K ETH raise, EOS trades at 0.005

Any day after tomorrow for the next 400+ days, every day!:

20K ETH raised, EOS trades at 0.01
4K ETH raised, EOS trades at 0.005 - today's value.

4K ETH * 400 days = 1,600,000 ETH ($480M @ $300/ETH)
Market cap valuation of $1B = 8K ETH avg invested/day

Value on Bitfinex and other exchanges will drive daily sales (incentivize like blocks) but all investments in EOS smart contract go to DL, the king of the pyramid. Smiley

Invest wisely guys.

true analysis and true insanity of this market to invest into a 1bn market cap in an unlaunched crypto - even for larimer.

Hi,
I just wanted to know when using the EOS token distribution APP on the website. I see that I can choose which period to put ether in. Does that mean I can put ether in a different period and I will receive tokens when that period is closed? If so can I go ahead and put ether into that period right now or do I have to wait for that period to begin. I'm confused because there is a drop down box in the contribution period section. Can someone help me clarify this. Thank you.

-Kevin

You can put ether in any period you want and you can claim your tokens after this period closes.

Btw a lot of conversation, questions and answers in telegram channel

If they sell 200,000,000 EOS Tokens for 400,000 ETH, then the price is 0.002 ETH per EOS Token.

They're selling 2,000,000 EOS Tokens per day after the first round.  If they take in 4K ETH per day, then the selling price is 0.002 ETH per EOS Token.

If they have a total circulation of 1,000,000,000 EOS Tokens, then the market cap valuation is 2,000,000 ETH (one billion X 0.002 ETH per token) or $600,000,000 (if ETH = $300).

That's still a very high market cap for an ICO.

They don't give a good explanation of how they're going to do parallel processing, which I think will be incredibly difficult to do over remote, distributed nodes.  I think the odds are stacked against them, so this will be a major feat if they can pull it off.  Maybe they can with the $70 million that they raised already, by hiring a large team of crack programmers.  Even then, it won't be easy.
