Well he already said Armory is ready and Electrum is coming.

Such babies

WTF are you saying?

Asking for basic information on how to use a product one is looking to buy (to determine, for one thing, if it is even something one 'can' make use of it)
is an unreasonable request?

I've already read through all the thread to find out the information I was looking for but I still made the request on purpose to make life easier for the next person searching for the same information, specially in the product page where it's much more difficult to find this thread.

No never plug this into another computer.
In theory, this should still be safe, as the trezor never reveals private keys.

ya that's what i was thinking so it should be perfectly safe from a security stand point to plug it into someone elses computer but would it work? would the devise be able to communicate enough information for the retailers client to properly prepare the transaction for you to then sign?

it would be a really big deal i think if the trezor could be used in this way. it would make using bitcoin for real world transactions soo much simpler, grandma could start using bitcoin.

With this devise would it be possible securely make payments at retail shops by plunging your trezor into a usb cable that was connected to the retailers computer?

Congratulations for finishing the product and launching the pre-order.

I'm interested in the client support but there is no information in the FAQ on the webpage about which computer software supports the hardware wallet and how to use it. Can you guys add this information in the product page?

so many people complaining about the price of 1 BTC... i will definitely order one! 1 BTC isnt much. think about the work they have done the last months! its not just the electronics and the case...
how many of you have lost 1 BTC at dice games? better help some guys creating hardware for bitcoin Wink

I agree 1 BTC is a very good price. No complaints at all, I expected more tbh. I would've loved the metal case, but it's just too hefty a price tag so I'll go with the plastic one.

Yes qt is the reference software. It can't be bugged, get vulnerabilities and get bogged down supporting everything but bitcoin. Encryption was the only upgrade it needed.

I don't support qt supporting this
Without knowing your reasons, I agree. QT should be kept lean and simple.

how comes your SSL cert is for *.herokuapp.com ? is this legit?

yes. it runs on heroku

PPS: also what happens if the TX of the payment takes longer than 48h due to pools not picking the TX up? that should be covered by the FAQ

It is covered: "Each unpaid order or unverified payment will be cancelled automatically 48 hours from the time of placing the order." When you pay the proper fee, the TX should be picked soon.
