Dota is the only interesting matches scheduled for today so i'll go for dotapit and take the chance on [email protected](boosted) h2h results is on the side of VG but I feel like they're due for a win since they've met several times already. I'm relying on Elephant's recent form after they've qualified from the TI qualifiers. On top of that this match will decide the round 2 seed since there's a potential three way tiebreaker if Elephant loses and assuming VG wins their last game against Aries.

Also Navi made an announcement about their players(ramzes, mag, rodjer) going inactive after they failed in the TI qualifiers.

Final match in the WePlay tournament today to end it, then we can get back to normal with the big professional teams starting tomorrow.
Fnatic rising seem like the favorites before but now it is Navi in these match up. So we will see later on today.

WePlay tournament is showing just the one match available to bet on so far:
That match is close to a coinflip but i'm leaning on VP.Prodigy since they have the slightly better odds and both of them don't look that great.
The odds have changed in Astralis Talent's favor last I looked from last night. They were nearly even but now @1.76x they look to be the favorites in these semis.
I'll put my few litoshis on them to win this and then go on to face Fnatic rising in the finals. Wink
The tournament has only today (in the next 1.5 hours) and tomorrow left, so pick your favorite amateur team to win here:

I don't know what to say for all the ones who love overwatch and say that it is above valorant.
It is just progression and video game players interests move on to the next iteration of a game which is somewhat similar even if it is a blatant rip-off. Cheesy
So all I can say is:
To each their own! Wink
Same goes for apex legends even though the competitive scene isn't thriving as much I think all of these games are great in their own way but when it comes to managing tournaments Riot does things much better compared to Valve. The only downside in Riot's management is that there's less third party tournaments but in return every player is getting paid nicely and doesn't have to rely on the prize pool.

Then the finals on Sunday August 8th with the winner of that match who will face off against Fnatic Rising.

As someone who played CSGO for around 1550 hours, I would say that Valorant has some interesting aspects that sparked the interests of most players.

Counter Strike has been around for years. It has also been tagged as the King of FPS since its popularity is widespread throughout the years. Many FPS have attempted to re-create the same atmosphere that CS offered but they somehow failed to manage to encapsulate the audience with it. Now comes Valorant with the same fundamentals and skill but Riot introduced 'Agents' in which the latter offered respective unique abilities.

At the end of the day, my heart will always be at CSGO but the mechanics introduced by Valorant makes me want to play it more.
Dude, what Valorant offers is nothing new because it has been seen already, Overwatch I think did it first with different skill set like what those Agents in Valorant has. I don't think no one is going to be able to replicate the experience of CS, it has been a nostalgia overdrive for many and young players are also getting in it.

Weplay Academy league play is coming to end as the tournament ran through July 19 - August 8th.
It seemed the favorites are starting to win all their matches as I noticed from the start most of the underdogs did.
Atleast now we are beginning to see which players are more likely to be signed up with their parent teams to the main rosters. Smiley

WePlay Academy tournament had been good to bet on for me since the very start. Had my first bet at over 5.40x on one team in a parlay win back then.
Managed to get a solid win yesterday. As I had been following the tournament from the very start of it and had seen where the team's rosters had been going. The sub for VP Prodigy really made the difference. The new member on their team named MistR really did stand out and is actually going to be a permanent member start on August 1 according to his twitter. Wink

Today, OMG is facing one of the weakest teams in the league and I think there's some value in their -1.5 handicap given that every other team manage to keep a clean win against V5.

Also they manage to sweep other teams in the bottom of the table (RW, UP, TT) and they have to get a 2-0 if they want to get ahead in the potential tiebreakers.
Ah, this is League play. Smiley
After looking at your betslip I had to do some searching on these teams ans came up with this video from back in 2019.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ao-5ArS3xEk

Did it win?

I have been putting all my focus on CS GO Academy league this week sine it is done on August 1st.
Some really good talent the main teams can take on to their rosters once the tournament is over.

Agreed ralle14 & ryzaadit.
After watching valorant for a while noticed it's gameplay is nice to watch but cs go just has more focus on certain aspects which the other doesn't.
Valorant is just a substitute for Overwatch, with the latter being much better in my opinion because it employs a more different kind of play compared to Valorant where they tried to make an FPS that has power involved as if R6 Siege haven't done it already.

I agree the voice comms of pro teams is very interesting, I haven't watched the Academy league but on the other tournaments they also used to share some bits of the comms and in a way you'll feel the atmosphere of the team.

Also Fnatic made an announcement it seems like they're dropping JW from the main roster.

Later I have Suning @1.43 (1.46 if boosted) as my esport bet of the day, even though LNG have the better record at the moment with 8wins and 3losses they're starting to crack while Suning is slowly showing their old form by taking down top teams like TOP, JDG and RNG.
Interesting info about Fnatic dropping JW. Which has been with the team as long as I can remember.
Their younger team Fnatic Uprising were playing yesterday in the Academy competition and there was one breakout start that the announcers were mentioning could play for the professional team. So they just might be the one to replace JW at his spot on the roster.

Quite interesting how this all plays out. Smiley

I don't know if anyone was watching or betting on the matches from the WePlay Academy League for CS:GO yesterday.
But it was mentioned for the first time on these livestreams they allowed the in-play player coms to be broadcasted during the match.
Which was sort of cool to hear these while they were playing.
Although I was watching Young Ninjas so didn't understand the swedish being communicated between team mates during the match.
It was interesting to hear what was being said so to understand what was going through the players mind while they were devising their takeovers or planting of the bomb.

Here is a quirky but funny video of gamers comparing the two.

I like Valorant but I don't watch the competitive games as much since I already spend way too much time watching the other titles like Dota, League, CS and sometimes a bit of COD during the weekends.

Looking forward to this classic match up OG vs Nigma, both teams met countless times so it could go either way and I honestly think o2.5 is the better play but i'm sticking with my gut and go with Team Nigma.

The international community more prefers to watch match tournament or play on PC.
I agree even though there's a few good esport titles on mobile I think the overall watching experience is better when you watch the PC titles like Dota or League.

I don't know, comparing to CSGO the game valorant more easy and friendly to be play + due every character have their own skill make the match have some higher unpredictable.

Valorant really potential beat CSGO for the tournament, as long Riot Game want to created tournament like LoL~xd

Let's get this discussion thread on a positive note which the announcement of Counter-strike returning back to LAN play after 491 days of absence.
Most teams rather play this way because the slight delay playing over the internet causes as almost everyone has experienced during their own gameplay.
https://www.hltv.org/news/32005/back-to-lan-five-key-storylines-of-iem-cologne

This is an open discussion for your tips on tournament play, favorites to win or just news about roster changes on a team.

The skies the limit! Grin

Hopefully this will have an impact also with mobile games on smartphones, because most asian players nowadays used to be fanatic playing using phones conveniently. Mentioned games here was just available on pc, and to make it more accessible for everyone who's desiring to bet on sports betting I recommend mobile legends and other mobile apps to be included on this platform if there's no conflict that would arise.

Does anybody follow Valorant at all?
Haven't really looked into this Esport before. Are there even markets available to bet on these matches?
Just noticed there is a tournament going live at the moment here:
Valorant Champions Tour livestream
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6JUsz46iV4A

Very similar to counterstrike, just updated in their weaponry.

Has a Fortnite vibe going for it in the graphics department. But other than that it looks pretty interesting.
They are a big FPS right now although I don't know if the competitive is that big but, in my country a lot of established eSports icons are already hosting small tournaments although no a lot of broadcast are picking it up to give it to more audience. I think it's more of an Overwatch or Heroes of Storn rather than Fortnite because there's no build mechanic or battle royale aspect in Valorant.
