Oh , G2 were so close to win 2nd map and beat Faze with a fashion 2-0. However , map 3 is Anubis and I really don't like how Faze approaches this map and I think G2 with Niko being absolutely on fire today on both maps so far will find a way to clutch and win 3rd map for G2.

Odds are so massive in favor of Faze but on the same time Faze really dominated 2023 so far and they won everything ...from majors to small and medium tournaments and I think it's time to take a break and enjoy the rest of the year without thinking and playing CS 24/7 and also give G2 the chance to shine.
Let's see if G2 can save face against Navi as they are currently playing today and are leading.
This tournament is in Abu Dhabi so no wonder when I wake up they are right in the middle of a map or are on the second game of the series of the day already.

Can't wait to see who Faze will face off with this weekend for the grand final on Sunday.

Blast Premier World final, a 1,000,000$ prizepool CS2 LAN is going on and currently vitality vs c9 is happening in the upper finals for a spot in the top 4

Earlier today Ence vs Navi series was the craziest Bo3 in a long time in counter strike, as Ence comeback on map 2 from 11-5 to win 11-13 and then Navi won map 3 from 11-5 to 11-13 , never ever seen that before

If anyone hasnt seen it , sportsbetio has added player prop lines for CS2 and they are even available for live betting

c9 vitality score is 7-3 and we can bet on hobbit vs mezii player kills, i think thats pretty nice offering!

The first game I've been watching from this final tournament of the year are between Faze Clan vs Heroic in the Blast Premier World.
It is looking like they will be winning this one with a scoreline of 13-12 in OT so far.

Didn't realize that Frozen replaced Twistzz on the roster before this match up. But it was announced earlier last week near the beginning of the month.
https://escorenews.com/en/csgo/news/53596-frozen-replaces-twistzz-in-faze-clan

Here is a great statement from him during his departure of the clan:
"We completed the game". Twistzz departs from FaZe Clan

BetBoom vs VP in BetBoom Dacha CS will start in a few minutes. It'll be interesting to see whether BetBoom can pull off another upset like they did against C9 yesterday. The 3.00 odd for BetBoom seems attractive considering that.

Not sure if anybody else caught the IGN video game awards show last night:
Glad to see Cyberpunk getting some love again. The comeback arc of this game has been amazing since its crappy launch in 2020.
Looks like they did beat C9 as you predicted! Shocked
Just hope you went with you gut feeling and put a decent amount on them. Because as some have already mentioned, these professional top tier teams do not seem to take these smaller lesser known tournaments seriously so they either don't have their full roster enabled and playing or just avoid them all together.

Spirt have been lighting them up and are currently playing the grand finals at Dacha against Virtus.pro:
https://www.hltv.org/news/37733/live-updates-from-betboom-dacha-grand-final

Alas. Not everybody is happy at the result of what has happened to CS tournament play ever since CS2 was introduced.
Among some of the pro players dropping out of matches and all out quitting over it:

Other than the winners of the year: https://www.ign.com/articles/the-game-awards-2023-winners-the-full-list

They showed alot of upcoming releases for the Christmas season and for next year into 2025 of course for GTA VI. Although not even a mention about the game as it is the bar every other gaming house is trying to reach towards right now. It is their competition from now til it releases, then they will all lose their $h1t when it does eventually come out.
The show was basically a two-hour long commercial for all the big studio houses to show off their new wares coming out and the technology behind them.
Notable ones were Fallout 5, Monster Hunter Wilds and God of War Ragnarok Valhalla.

What a comeback from MIBR against Cloud 9  Shocked but then I looked closer on what tournament they are and when I saw Dacha Boom I knew this games are just practice for big teams because the same things happened in Dota 2 tournament when the favorites when home first and we had a lot of comebacks. I also recommend to not bet on Boom tournaments....like ever.
Same here @boltz !
I don't even look at the matches in these sort of tournaments. They just seem to be filler with a few teams and the main squads don't even have the heart into it since they are not well known ones to even be in.

Didn't know dota2 are the same. They don't put their full squad in these type of lower tier tournament matches do they?

Yea ...like BetBoom the team who were favorites in their own tournament decided to leave 1st from that tournament in order to prepare for TI ( this is what they said )...so yea , I can't even trust this tournament as a real one but I don't have anything related to esports to watch so I'm pleased with this one for now.

Per example look how Furia 2-0 Astralis last night and now they are playing Team Spirit ( CS team is really mediocre on Spirit ) and somehow they are losing against them ...which makes this tournament even more suspect for me. Smiley

In the Betboom tournament for Dota 2, I only remember that some underdogs played better than most of the favorites. If it was an online tournament like the regional tournaments, maybe it could've been different because half of the teams didn't hesitate to get a stand-in and take advantage of the rule.

Also, I agree on skipping and only watching these tier-two tournaments unless you have the guts to sprinkle a bit of your bankroll on the underdogs.

Having not been keeping up to date on the big tournaments in the DOTA2 scene didn't even know there was one going on from Pinnacle.
But heard of the Kuala Lumpur event happening in Malaysia right now.
They must be the only tournament playing at the moment since I would imagine the teams who are located in Europe and the US are not travelling this time of year. Due to alot of traffic at the airports during the holidays.

Let's congratulate the newly formed team, Team Falcons (Dota 2) for winning the 25th year Anniversary of the Pinnacle Cup. They've won $50k for their prize as the champs of this tournament and they've won straight 3-0 during the grand finals against the, The Dudley Boys with mind_control on the roster. That's an interesting match that we've seen there on how this team's potential will be doing and next week, we're going to see them again play for the ESL in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.

Who are the fans and bettors here that are optimistic about this team that they might end up with a good placing for that tournament? Since this tournament is also with known good teams and players, they've managed to win and went through all odds through the lower bracket. ATF is so strong and the decision that's been made by his former team Quest was a wrong call for not granting him with a decent contract.

Some interest geared towards the video game community when it came after a wait of over 10 years with the most grueling anticipation ever for a release in the history of the industry.
You know it was Grand Theft Auto VI having over 86 million views after only 21 hours of it being released but a hacking group put it up on the platform X 15 hours before it was going to be officially released.

They even included a jovial message at the end of the trailer across the game logo:

Right now we have Game Changers 2023 Championship: São Paulo , a LAN womens tournament going on to decide the best female valorant team,
Its surprisingly fun to watch and unexpectedly has a good sea team to root for - SMG

The prize pool as well is a cool 0.5 million usd ,

Apart from the CS2 elisa masters LAN this is the only LAN happening right now  Wink
Seems that Shopify Rebellion won that tournament for the Womens side of Valorant.

Just 24 hours until the long awaited trailer for GTA VI arrives. They say the main protagonist is portrayed after a real-life crime boss I believe called the mother of dope:

Although not esports related but who knows. Remember the online version being released?
So it just might be with the surprises we have seen out of this studio before:
GTA VI trailer is going live straight from Rockstar themselves on IGN youtube channel is being dropped December 5th.
There is a countdown clock and will commence the video once the clock strikes zeros.
A pre-show and post show. So you know it will be a special event with those years of waiting everybody has been enduring for so long.

Yeah because it is the holidays so I would imagine all of esports major tournaments have winded down for the players to spend time away from the games and with their families instead.
The smaller ones still have games being played but I would assume they will be ending those soon too.

They had the Esports Awards yesterday and only became aware of it happening with the opening ceremonies being posted on X:

Faze Clan of course are the favorites in this Grand Finals in Copenhagen but Vitality will make it a match!
I expect over 3.5 maps if the Cs2 format hasn't changed from the CS:GO finals best of 5.
Now we can see how MR12 will affect both these teams in a finals matchup at this level of play.

Very interesting match to witness.
