My Worlds' bets have been shitting the bed, but I got one back after live betting on Team Whales to win map 3. BDS had the edge in drafts during the second and third maps, while their synergy became nonexistent after the first map.

We have a bunch of tight series today, as the winners of each series will advance to the qualification match. I got Loud+1.5 in the first series and i'm leaning on Team Whales +1.5 for the other series. After the upsets, i'm starting to think the favorites don't deserve the odds they get and are more vulnerable to dropping a map.

At first look, Group B is super stacked and it sucks for Thunder Awaken to be placed in a group filled with the best teams.  Shocked

Only 1 day remains until Dota TI will officially debut and the biggest news so far is PSG departure from LGD and already signed with Quest for this TI so the new name will be PSG Quest.
The group stages and their respective matches are all out. So, that's 5 teams for each group A-D. Why does it feel like this TI is going to be so quick for me? Compared to the other past TIs, this format isn't new but looks like we're having a quick run on it although the dates were all set and it's gonna be like a long haul for most teams to go to the main event.

Also , it seems like Puppey will make it to TI after all  but no official statement from a team so maybe he will be present as Analyst ? or something for the TI host panel.  Grin
I am expecting him to be part of the panel. Just like how Ceb and N0tail have been invited for the past TIs to be part of it when they failed to qualify for TI. Either being an analyst or panelist. Whichever is going to be offered to him by Valve, it's just so fine to see him still part of TI but not as a player if it does happen. The list talents were also out and I'm trying to find his name but it's not yet there and hopefully that he'll be part of it soon.

LoL Worlds and DOTA TI  on the same day, its like Christmas for esports bettors, worlds during day and Dota all night, i got 12  hours  to get all the sleep i can LOL
I don't follow LOL worlds but it's just so amazing to see that these esports are having their own best tournaments happening at the same time. So if you're a fan of both Esports then that means that it's an entire day run for yourself to sit back and relax and watch a lot of actions for TI and worlds.

I'm continuing my bets for Worlds, as the matches will start in a few hours. Time to go chalk mode today because the skill gap between each region is too wide to expect an upset like yesterday's series between GAM and Loud. The closest series would probably be the DFM vs CFO series, but i'd put CFO's skill level similar to PSG given they come from the same region and only lost 3-2 to them in the finals. They might be the second-best team in the group unless Team Whales makes a miracle against BDS.

PSG.LGD is no more a team name as PSG transfers its sponsorship to Quest. That means to say that PSG.LGD is now LGD gaming, their former name is back. For Quest Esports, the team name is now PSG Quest.

News: PSG announces Dota 2 partnership with Quest Esports, creates PSG Quest

This is just all about sponsorship and replacement of name so this wouldn't matter a lot about LGD gaming since they've been sponsored for how many years by PSG. It's actually a good debut for PSG and this is gonna put big expectations for Quest. Honestly, it would have been better if they'd sponsored Azure Ray instead of Quest since their roster is composed of former players of actual PSG.LGD that has represented them for years.

On the night of October 10, Valve released a new patch for CS2. The developers reported eliminating errors related to hitboxes, updating several maps, and fixing other bugs. Company employees shared the information on the official CS2 blog. Previously, gamers complained about a serious discrepancy between the hitbox and the player model. G2 sniper "m0NESY" also checked the bug and stated that the shooter from Valve is broken.

Video with hitbox bug and after fix

I hope the developers will work even faster to gradually improve the game, they have no other option if they want the number of players to play it no less than in CS:GO.
There is this common meme from the Dota 2 players, communities, and fans about Dota 2 and that's like, "Dota 2 is still in beta".
I guess that we're getting that now with CS2 that the game is still on beta phase.

Dota 7.34 patch was released today which is the final patch TI will be played on  Grin
It was the 7.34d patch and as promised by Valve, they have released it before TI which is just a few days from the date of release.

TI is like christmas for us dota players and as expected this patch gave nerfs to PA
True, that's like the holiday times for most of the Dota 2 players and most likely for the professional players who are qualified to participate in this event. While many tournaments and DPC-included ones have passed through the year. The meta is changing and thanks to these updates, nerfs, and upgrades that they're doing. This is needed for one team to stop being dominant and we're talking about GG. But if they truly are the strongest in this era, they'll still be able to perform well and adjust with their set of heroes and playstyle based on the given updates.

As a  bettor im gonna  try  to play as many matches as i can to get a feel of the new changes  so i bet accordingly!

TI12 letsgooo
Good luck with that, you can YOLO, analyze, predict, and do whatever you can. And as you bet with as many matches as you can, one thing is that you don't forget to enjoy every game that you watch.

Speaking of TI, we might see a lower Prize pool this year. Currently, the prize pool is still at $2,870,635 which is very low considering that TI will start next week.

Some are already expressing their concerns about the low prize pool of this year's TI.

https://afkgaming.com/dota2/news/loda-expresses-concerns-over-ti-2023-prize-pool-bashes-compendium

They have the right though to have their concerns. For the longest time, TI has always been the biggest tournament of the year. If the prize pool does not grow, TI will be overshadowed by Riyadh Masters which had a $15 Million prize pool this year. Riyadh Master still has plans to improve their E-sports scene which means the prize pool could still increase in the future.
It's been consistently yearly that the prize pool has been higher although last year and 2021 there's already a disparity of around $21M for which Team Spirit as 2021 TI champs got $40M.

And for last year (2022) for Tundra Esports got $18.2M.

But considering with that disparity, it's still a huge prize for the champion compared to this year which it's a pool of less than $3M.

Lucky if it will reach there but it's unlikely and teams could just get a little share for the most since there have been a lot of participants and the champ could still get a share of around 40%-50% from that prize pool.

And going with Puppey's rumor, he's out but still Team Secret's coach Heen will serve as Team SMG's coach.

We only have less than an hour left until the Worlds 2023 Qualification match starts between GG and BDS. This is a toss-up match because there are doubts between these two teams. It comes down to whoever shows up during this series so it might be good to observe both teams instead of placing pre-live bets. The only pre-live I like taking for this series is the over 3.5 @1.26 because both teams should be decent enough to win at least a map before getting eliminated.

One noticeable update on this patch is that PA is nerfed. So, we will hopefully see less PA in ranked games and maybe on TI. In the recently concluded Dream League, we saw how dominating PA was. The team just has to hold down the opposite team until the late game and PA will eventually take over the game. Even if they are losing in early and mid-game, as long as they are able to survive until the end game, it is a sure win. Team Spirit was able to dominate Dream League with the previous patch, hopefully they can still do it in TI with this patch.

Well, this is true and just try to look at on that team of Shopify Rebellion which it is really that composed of those members which are known to be that already long in dota2 scene
but still they do choke out with that classic Arteezy gaming but good thing that they do able to get that 2nd place on Dreamleague but the recent ones are really that not that good placing them on
rank 11th - 16th which does means that there are really some teams which are already considered powerhouse.

Adjustments made on shuffling their players and certain rosters would be mixed up until they would really be getting that anticipated results which we know that
player teamplay and harmony would really play a major role when it comes to this type of competition. It would really be totally a never ending
testing out on mixing rosters.
That's why those teams that known to be champs have been long time together while some teams that have been together for a long time still fall shortly with their TI runs.

This is what im expecting but they have completely go to the other path which do leaves out tons of questions in Dota community fans on whats happening.
This event should have that much bigger prize pool compared into those other Majors but this one is really that disappointing. Imagine on trying out to make yourself to be
getting those DPC points for entering the international but the prize pool isnt something worth to compete with.
Yeah, it was a tough year for most teams and that's why they've played and worked hard during the DPC season just to collect enough points for this grand event of Dota 2 tournament by Valve itself.

But that sucks and this is like the era that it is no longer Valve sponsored events that will be chased by most teams. And Riyadh major is going to be the new TI for the next upcoming years.

I feel like there is a chance to understand the meta better if you play the game itself but it also requires from your side to play all the roles in order to understand which heroes are really OP and can be used at TI as well.

Indeed , TI is like a Christmas gift for us the players and I can't wait for 12th to see the opening scene ( hopefully we get one ) and settle down on my coach watching some great Dota 2 games.

This is a known attitude of Blacklist and its management or let us say for every organization in Dota 2, if they are unsuccessful then there's surely gonna have that mix or replacement that's about to happen and that has become a typical thing on this one.

What was that team that we've seen before that have stayed with their squad? I guess all of them have to replace especially when there's no success found even in LAN or online tournaments that has a good prize pool. And maybe on their contract it's said that it's just for the TI qualifiers and if luckily ever qualified, the contract continues.

But then that since it's done and they were unsuccessful then that contract has to expire without any option of renewing it.

TI12 Prize pool is a joke. Riyadh Masters is much bigger. There are sayings or rumors that they did tend to launch that battle pass after TI. Arent that an odd situation?
TI is known to be having the biggest prize pool for Dota2 tournament but it seems they do come back to scratch.

Truly an odd and untimely decision for Valve. There's something lack on this TI and this is what the entire community is waiting for, the prize pool and even we're not professionals and just bettors, players and fans that supports this game.

It's disappointing that it's not hitting the numbers and I am sure that most of the teams that are looking forward on the prize pool are disappointed as well while seeing this.

A year of competition and qualification with the expectation that they'll compete with the largest prize pool and grandest tournament in Dota 2 then that expectation didn't come into reality.

But that's how it is, Valve can just drop those items and sales a month or two before TI but they didn't.

This is what im expecting but they have completely go to the other path which do leaves out tons of questions in Dota community fans on whats happening.

What are your thoughts on the TI12 prize pool? As of now, the current prize pool for TI12 is $2,784,573 which is lower than the Riyadh Master 2023 prize pool of $15,000,000 USD! Do you think TI12 will surpass the Riyadh Master 2023 prize pool until group stage on October 12?
I don't think that it will surpass that prize pool. Valve probably did this on a purpose because there was this announcement if I'm not mistaken that they'll release some battle pass after the TI. See the timing? Isn't that intentional? Valve is there to make money but they're just breaking the tradition that they've made TI as one of the biggest tournaments.

But if it's not doable, I guess it's still with the little prize pool for every participant and to the champion and the glory that it brings.

On some news about players, Karl just posted that he's looking for a new team and that means that Blacklist has removed or he left the team or his contract already expired.

I like to him move to another region like in EU where he can accelerate and improve more. And not just him that departed from team but also Kpii and their two coach and assistant coach.

Likely all of their contracts expired.
Basing up on this tweet;

Today we say thank you and farewell to our beloved Blacklist Rivalry members: Karl "Karl" Baldovino, Damien "kpii" Chok, Kenny "Xepher" Deo. Their contracts have come to an end and are not being renewed,” Blacklist announced on Twitter, thanking the three members for their contributions.
Source

Basing up on the word, "Being not renewed" then its clear that they didnt have that option to stay up but rather itst indirectly telling that
they are kicked because they didnt been able to get to qualify for TI12.

Only 7 days until Dota 2 TI tournament and I must say I'm already hyped for some majestic Dota 2 games. Also rumors are that Puppey will be with Team SMG on TI and he is already practicing for some days with them in order to be prepared so once again , Puppey will make it to TI.  Grin
I've also heard of the rumors and he'll possibly join with Mind Control when two of their players struggle to secure a visa. Both players would be a straight upgrade for the team and might even get a good placement if they're lucky enough with the group draw.

Aside from TI, there's also Worlds, which i'm looking forward to in a few days since I might focus on their group stage as i'm usually struggling with Dota's Bo2 format.
