I think that these organizations have got money to do that and apply them to have another passport if these problems have already been foreseen but we'll see the development and news about it as we go near to the date of the major which we still got 3 weeks from now.
If only it was that easy to fix we'd barely see teams needing a substitute, but I don't have high hopes when even OG who has a lot of money to spend was forced to play with a stand-in during the Berlin Major.
Well, that's true. And before the Bali major, we've got the Dreamleague. One SEA team has got their VISA delayed and that's the Execration so if you're going to look at the page --> https://liquipedia.net/dota2/DreamLeague/Season_20

Before they were there but not anymore and even if they make it to the venue, they'll be losing by a default. This is a no DPC tournament but any team that will participate here will have a lot of cash prizes.

And whoever wins 1st and 2nd will be qualified to the Riyadh masters where money is flowing more with a cash prize pool of $15M.

The highlight to the first day of the tournament were Imperial Esports who beat the hot squad of Team Vitality who were just coming off their championship win in the Paris Blast.tv final
I watched that series and Team Vitality were caught sleeping after that dominating T-side Overpass from Imperial and then their struggles continued in Vertigo. I guess they're not as hungry to get a high placement for this tournament since they already qualified for the World Finals.

Now the upper bracket matchup should be a cruise for G2 since they looked solid against Cloud9, and this is a much easier matchup as I think Vitality doesn't care as much playing into this tournament.

Blast Premier Spring final day one is in the books and Faxe clan just beat a dismal Astralis team which I haven't seen win a match in their past tournaments. I think they need a revamp of their roster to become a contending team once again.

Imperial is looking like a solid team with their roster consisting of: Vini, Boltz, FalleN, Jota and Chelo.

The Blast Premier Spring Finals runs until June 11th.

I hope that all of them win against any VISA issue that they might face going to Indonesia.
This is unavoidable for a few players because a few weeks ago, there was a discussion about 33 not attending the Bali Major due to his nationality and Fly would be affected as well.
Oh yeah, Fly is also an Israeli but I hope that he's got a Canadian passport or any other passport aside from Israeli passport to show so that he can still attend and face no problem for his VISA entering Bali.

It's unfortunate for both players if this is true, but on the bright side, they're already qualified for TI anyway so their teams don't have to perform as much.
That's the consolation that they've got, if ever these two won't make it to Bali, they're good to cheer their teammates and just have to prepare for the TI.

There's also Azure Ray securing the final slot in the CN Div1 after a three map series against Xtreme Gaming yesterday during the tiebreakers.

So the match of Talon and Execration was done and it ended up good for Execration as they're now qualified for the Bali major. While Talon, it's just for the potential placing but they're also likely to get a secured slot.

There's only one match remaining and that's Army Geniuses and Blacklist. If Blacklist wins against AG then the placing will be BL on 3rd and Talon as 4th and both of them will still go to the major.

But if BL loses against AG then we have a decider placing match which is the battle for 3rd and 4th place but still, both places will go Bali major but the difference is the DPC points.
Based on the Liquipedia rankings, it should be more than enough since the minimum will only go down even further.

On top of the Blacklist win, we'll still be getting a tiebreaker, but it's between them and Execration fighting for second and third place.

There's also unfortunate news Team Secret will be heading to Division 2 for the next season after failing to win the last two maps against Tundra. I wonder who'll be the other team that'll join them.
Yeah, Team Secret is going back to division 2 together with D1 Hustlers while here are the teams on WEU in particular order that will join the Bali major, congrats to them:

  • Tundra Esports
  • Gaimin Gladiators
  • Quest Esports
  • Team Liquid

Whilst on the SEA, here are the teams in particular order that qualified to go to Bali:

  • Bleed Esports
  • Blacklist Rivalry
  • Execration

There was a match of XCTN and BL but BL won more DPC points and got 2nd.

It might be possible for Secret to pull out a new team or at least to say goodbye to a couple of members because yesterday Gorc said that it was a big discussion on their channel yesterday with Yammich , Boom and Armel and a lot of board members from Secret because they relegated to Div 2 again and something is really going wrong there and I hope is not Puppey because he is Team Secret after all but I would not be socked to see Puppey going in NA with Arteezy once again as the bromance is still there between them.
It's expected when a team fails to get good results, and it's better to make changes right away since the TI qualifiers are not that far off. I doubt Puppey would lose his spot in Team Secret because there aren't many players that can match him in terms of being a captain in the team. Those three players might have plans to play with a different team that's why they're in discussion with the board members so they can find a replacement ahead of time.

I missed the grand finals of the IEM, but it's well deserved for ENCE after almost losing against Faze in the third map that was close to reaching 60 rounds.

That's needed and that happens everytime they are unsuccessful with majors or these seasons qualifiers, there's a need for them to change usually with the roster. I don't think that it's gonna have something to do with Puppey and as you've said, he's Team Secret and from the very start he's been with them.

That is very possible. Every time Team Secret fails, they always change the roster. But I do not agree that Puppey should still stay with Team Secret. He should move on from being a player to the next stage, probably coaching or managing a team. We all know that Team Secret is Puppey and it is hard for us to see Team Secret without Puppey in it playing, but Puppey is already at the end of his playing days. His mechanical skills cannot compete professionally with the younger and faster players now. His knowledge of the game can be better used if he goes to the next level of the game, coaching.
I will agree to the idea that he should switch into a coach but if he thinks and the management thinks that he still got what it takes to do as a pos 5 player, they'll do it. He's done well for the last TI and it's just sad that they're not doing well for these DPC seasons.

Nobody would of seen these two teams making it to the finals of Intel Extreme Masters winning against both of their opponents Faze and Heroic.
Ence vs Mouz for IEM Dallas 2023 to see who lifts the trophy in two hours from now.
Mouz is @2.15x and Ence @1.65x who are the favorites. But Mouz has improved alot since they are a squad full of young players and it is their very first finals. So expect nerves to show in the tournaments last day.
Maps for over 2.5 and under are almost the same @1.85x and @1.88x which can be chosen at the Esports hub:

Never expected these two to defeat G2 and FaZe honestly, even though we know how good the new bloods are. Sunpayus and nertz really took ENCE to the next level, while JDC and frozen tried their best to salvage a lot of rounds for MOUZ in the two maps. I kinda thought that MOUZ would have gotten Mirage given how smooth their first half is, but unfortunately Sunpayus' movements around the map and maden's pick-offs were just too much when they switched sides.
Anyway, GGs for both of the teams. MOUZ only needs to be together for some more tournaments and some more time, but they already went into IEM and managed to beat the huge teams and play at the finals.
Yes, unfortunatley Mouz sports inexperience at a finals got the best of them in the end. As ENcE took the grand finals in a 2-0 blow out.
Mouz didn't have a chance at all with the sheer manhandling at the hands of NertZ, Maden and Snappi.
SunPayus was named the finals MVP of the match.

CounterStrike 2 was displayed in a face-off during the grand finals as a featured match between two mashed up teams brought together just for fun to showcase the new features.

While they're not yet secured for the Bali major as they only have 1 match remaining. I think if they've just won against Xerxia, they are probably secured a slot now.

I think that if Bleed and Talon will win their respective matches as both of them still has two matches, maybe Blacklist will end 3rd or 4th but will still qualify for the major.

I'm avoiding to bet on them because they're still inconsistent IMO.
I agree five wins would've guaranteed them third place, and for now, they have to root for SMG and Talon to take down Execration to avoid the tiebreaker scenario.

That's why i've been betting against them this tour because in the last two tours, they've been a letdown and only shown some improvements in their previous two or three series.

As for some news about the DPC points and The International 2023, Gaimin Gladiators just got enough points so they're already got their direct invitation to go there and the same goes for the first SA team to get a direct invite which is the EG.

In total, we've got three teams securing slot for the TI 2023.

  • Team Liquid
  • GG
  • Evil Geniuses

Funny how BetBoom is competing in Malta Cup but I do see why they look to perform in a lot of competition and that is to increase their team play and chemistry as much as they can before TI happens. Also , so far it seems BetBoom is finally looking like the team they were suppose to look when they form this team and even if Spirit is in front in DPC , I do think BetBoom is overall the better team.

IEM matches yesterday were non-stop and was watching the Faze vs Cloud 9 on late with of course the favorites winning like most of the teams that played.
The only one that surprised me were G2 Esports with not even securing a third map going down 2-0 to Heroic.
I think Heroic are still upset with the defeat in Paris to Vitality.

So we have in the quarter-finals Astralis vs Mouz and G2 vs Faze today.
Tomorrow Heroic and EnCE will face off the winners of these matches.
For their shot at a place in the finals on Sunday.

Intel Extreme Masters Dallas 2023 is really getting started and the best of 3 maps were today.
Faze is getting their heads handed to them on a platter by ENcE right now for the final match of the day.
I placed bets on the earlier matches and they all won easily.
Always seems these later stage matches later in the day are causing the top teams to drop matches in these IEM tournaments.

CounterStrike: It's in our DNA video released in vivid 4k looks very nice for this tournament beginning on June 2nd running until the 4th.

Blacklist won this match. It was a good match up and despite that, both teams are likely to go together in Bali major but the difference is their DPC points whoever gets a better standing at the end of this tour.

Going to WEU, what a pitiful 2nd and 3rd map for Team Secret. They've won with their first map but then got swept by Quest for 2nd and 3rd map. There's a serious change that I think Puppey needs to do in terms of draft like the third map with their pick, it's not really wise at all to get that medusa as part of their picks.

Quest won easy and ATF's anti-mage offlane made it easy for Team Secret's medusa to struggle in farming.

As much as many would like to see Team Secret win, they just can't. Dota is rough for them.
That win from Blacklist was impressive, and it's now their major spot to lose, as they still have one series left against AG. And I need to stop betting against them because this is my third time fading these guys and i'm now 0-3. Tongue

I was impressed with Team Secret when they won that Windranger pick in the first game, I thought they were most likely losing, but it still worked regardless of the hero's bad record in the DPC games. The Medusa pick was okay in game 3, but they fell for Quest's trap after banning carry heroes in the first phase, and Quest quickly countered her with an offlane AM.
The pick was fine but Quest did managed to counter that too easy and that offlane AM was just so sick and annoying for Crystallis' medusa. I hate it and I'll be tilted if ever I'm on his shoe, keep on dying easily.
