Most of the regions DPC tour for Dota 2 will start at May 15. A couple of regions will start it by May 14 and that's just a few days ahead of time.

These are regions that will start by May 14:
  • Eastern Europe
  • South America

But you know what's the most exciting match in my mind? After Gaimin Gladiators won the Lima and Berlin Majors, it seems that they're unbeatable. What match I'm talking about of making me excited? It's this match between them and Team Secret. This is going to be on May 19 in the Western Europe region of this DPC tour 3. So, mark your calendars and don't miss that match.

Gen.G really met the expectations by a solid performance today.  Smiley  G2 Esports are normally a really capable team but it is just really difficult for them to compete with a strong Korean team at the same level. It was like this many years ago and there is still a huge gap between European and Korean teams in terms of team play on League of Legends.

It could have ended by 3-0 instead of 3-1 as well actually. It was due to Gen.G's being a little complacent in the 3rd game.
The individual matchups were too far apart for G2 and I agree, it should've been a 3-0 if it weren't for their unusual draft on the third game as they only had Peyz as their heavy hitter.

I was hoping I could place a bet on the T1 series but with these discouraging odds, it might be best to just watch the series.  Cheesy

MAD Lions were quite surprising at the beginning of Game 1 by a really solid start. But as for the teamfights later on they weren't that much successful. T1 are one of the strongest Korean teams and they stayed strong mentally in those fights to turn the game around slowly.

By the way it was a really easy series for T1. I didn't understand one thing from MAD Lions side as well. While they were 2-0 behind I think they took a big risk by picking Ezreal against Jinx. It would have been more useful for them to have a champ that can scale a lot in late game. Because T1 made tactical picks against Ezreal. They had 3 tanks like Sion, Maokai and Tahm Kench so Ezreal couldn't do anything in Game 3.

T1 with one hell of a comeback against Mad Lions in game 1 as they tried to go for a similar composition that Gen G did and made it work. They might do it again here in game 2 as they're now 5k ahead and Mad Lions look hopeless atm.

Maybe both of you guys could pm Steve to look into why you can not participate in such promotions as these are for CounterStrike and shouldn't be any sort of problems with being region restricted as some have reported were their problem in the past.

You should be able to have your bets within the Esports hub as the Place your bets button at the very bottom of the screen redirects you there so to put in your bets for the contest.
It might be geo-restricted as I remember one of their previous CSGO promo was like that as well.  Anyway, appreciate the help though, I will still continue betting as usual once this network overload is over.   Smiley

Remember there is a pretty good promotion going on right when the tournament started yesterday and runs until the 21st.
It's unfortunate that I can't opt in for this promotion as it automatically redirects me to the promo page when i'm logged in. Good luck to those who opt in though.
There was another player who mentioned they have issues with the promotions offered on the site at times as well.
Check their post on the Sportsbet.io betting rev thread on their issues:

Decent promotion for sure.   The multi bet failed on not seeing ENCE beat Faze, but I should have bet 3 maps there.  Mouz I skipped which was good because they did upset again like the old days.   I bet Grayhoundz rightly despite flailing and appearing weak somehow are enough of a threat and beat Mongolz; they shouldnt beat Nip today.
Multibet I went with is Faze over forze and Col to take it to 3 maps vs Liquid; they are both american teams and should be more familiar and possible to counter for that.
Mongolz and monte 3 maps, bit of a guess but its nice odds and playing in just a few minutes, OG over legion which I would hope should be simple enough for them.  OG did lose last month on ancient to legion but they can ban right.
Monte are leading Mongolz and Gamerlegion are leading OG in the Blast.TV Paris early matches.

We have just got the draw in MSI for Stage 2 which is Bracket:
I also expect both EMEA teams to lose against both LCK teams since the gap is too much between these teams. The C9 vs BLG series is probably the closest series due to GG winning at least a map during the playins. Then on the JDG vs GG series that should be a win for JDG at the minimum, not sure if they can win without dropping a map since they were a bit shaky at the start of the LPL playoffs.

I would've placed a bet on Gen G -1.5 for 1.54 if it weren't for the current state of the network as I still need to wait for my previous deposits from last week to get confirmed.

Hans Sama is normally an impressive ad carry but he had serious issues aganst the Peyz - Delight bot lane today. Well, it's different for me because I think when they've pull that IO + WD strat then I have thought that there could be something else from them that shall bring GG down. But in the end, there was none and it was all disappointment, positive disappointment since I'm not cheering for GG but acknowledges their strength and their run for the past majors and tournaments.

It's like GG has broken Dota 2 on this patch and they're at the best. I'm thinking that icefrog will make some changes or updates before TI12 and this is going to make everyone adjust as well.
Actually all of them needs to have that adjustment specially on this recent big patch on Dota 2 which lots of skills changes and specially with a bigger map plus the skills and nerfing some items.
As for GG then i do agree about being the best which they do blend out well on this current patch which you could really see that team work plus the executions and other some combos
which you could really be able to see it flawlessly.
Yes, all of them have adjusted and are still on the phase of learning and adjusting from this patch even after the Berlin major.

For sure there would be some changes or upcoming patches into something which is broken. I dont know if that Beastmaster Aghs or shard (drum skill) had already been fixed?
There are counters on it and one of them is to have the item of urn or spirit vessel. These items have the good effects of countering BM's aghanims scepter skill.

Also heroes like Apparition is one of the best counters for BM that has an aghs scepter.

Day 1 Major CSGO results.   Monte outperforming but is it fair guage for future performance or noise, I didnt even know Monte was anything but now I think they are worth watching thats a good close match they had vs Faze together with their more obvious win vs the Brazilians.
BO1 matches in the morning tomorrow and BO3 afternoon, think I will opt for just BO3.

Apeks is confusing, not a single round lost in their game vs Grayhound who already won vs Forze, a good result & it was Mirage on both Grayhound's absolute loss and their upset win.  Apeks beat Liquid,  maybe Liquid slipped on countering tactics due to unfamiliarity or maybe Apeks is the best underdog of this major.  Mouz used to be a good upset bet, a giant killer at times but have not thought that recently..

Mouz, G2, Liquid to win as a multi is my first thoughts and maybe 3 maps for Faze game.
Day one of the tournament started rocky with Team Liquid going down to Forze and then Apeks blanking Grayhound 16-0 are the two that stuck out in my mind for the Paris Major so far. And as you have said, these early challenger stages are best of 1 so they should be easier when they go best of 3.
But it is still early so anything is most certainly possible.

Remember there is a pretty good promotion going on right when the tournament started yesterday and runs until the 21st.

I've watched that WD + IO combo, it sucks when they've done it as an enemy. I'd really feel sucks against that duo. I am feeling that they'll use that line up again for this grand finals.

The first game is still on going and it's a close fight for both teams. This is the grand finals and both teams are going to be careful with their moves and decision making.

Team Liquid was not able to have their revenge against Gaimin Gladiators, instead, they were stamped and lose on a gentleman sweep. I am not expecting Team Liquid to pull the same strat on GG since GG is very good on stalling games until their core becomes online. That io-wd combo is only good for the early games and will have a hard time when the games goes to late game. They will have nothing to answer the other team once the anti-heal items get online. I was not expecting it to come out again on the game. But I was expecting some strategy that is specifically tailored against GG and their strats but Team Liquid was not able to pull it. All their games are rather too quick.

Anyway, Congratulations to Gaimin Gladiators for winning the Berlin Major. They continue to dominate the game.

Now, it's going to be GG vs. Team Liquid and this best of 5 game will start in less than an hour.

Team Liquid pulling a pocket strat on an elimination game. They must feel really confident in that strategy to pull it on an elimination game. And no one would expect a witch doctor in position 3. The top lane was basically 2 support heroes. But behold, it worked. They hit their timings and finished the game within 20 minutes. 9 Pandas have no answer to all that healing coming from io and witch doctor.

Props to 9Pandas for reaching the Lower Bracket finals. They introduced a lot of meta to this new map, especially the bounty hunter strat. I enjoyed watching strat.

Up next, Team Liquid vs Gaimin Gladiator. I will go to Team Liquid this time. It is a rematch of Lima Major and I think they will have their revenge for their loss in the Lima Major finals. Hopefully, this will be a full series and goes all the way to 5 maps.

When I first look at these matchups I think the most attention getting ones are going to be Gen.g - G2 and MAD Lions - T1. Because we will watch really good EMEA teams fighting against really good teams of Korea here. For now it seems like EMEA teams are likely to drop down to Losers' Bracket. Because both of these Korean teams are very strong and Gen.g are even a team that beat T1 in the latest LCK finale by 3-1.

C9 can also have big difficulties against BLG. I really like BLG's team play these days. JDG seem like the most overwhelming team against their opponent compared to the other matchups. They are the latest LPL winner as well.

9 Pandas' trip to the Berlin Major ends with their defeat against Team Liquid in the Lower Bracket Final! If the 9 Pandas banned Alchemist in Game 3, they might have a chance to upset Team Liquid.

They have a chance on game 2 because they control the game at some point on the middle game. 9Panda keeps picking TB while they can’t maximize this pick despite Ramzess is already have an item. Liquid supports is much better than 9panda since the core players of both team are both equal. They just vary on how support sustain their core.

Yeah, They have a chance to change the result if Alchemist is ban since Liquid have an early game advantage due to its gold while 9panda TB is item reliant.

It's already set Gaimin Gladiators vs Team Liquid for The Berlin Major Grand Finals! Will Team Liquid avenge their Lima Major loss, or will Gaimin Gladiators win back-to-back titles?

Team Liquid has a chance if they keep this kind of phase. They should make a better hero pick because their pick is always one step behind GG. I think they can make it this time since Boxi is already playing.
