Alright moving to WEU, Team Secret is joining the party of division 2 teams.

Team Secrets current roster is a far cry from what they have a few months ago in TI. They did not even win a map against Nigma. It is a shame that they let go of Nisha, who are working perfectly for them. Now, Team Liquid is very much enjoying the service of Nisha.

I am making a small bet on the game tomorrow between Blacklist and Geek Fam. Both teams need the win to solidify their slot for Lima Major. This will be a good match and should be neck and neck.

That Talon -1.5 has been a trap that many people fell into. Weird picks from Talon and perhaps overconfidence because they were doing well on their previous matches. I mean, who the hell uses Rubick as position 3 in a meta dominated by durable offlane and carries supported by early game nukers? CM and Tiny just ate the hell out of Jabz in game 1, and they can't seem to really find any answer to Fnatic's aggression as the game progresses. Overconfidence IMO brought them to experiment and try other heroes thinking that they can edge against Fnatic.
I will understand if that's a rubick mid so that it can move easily early game and will manage the map control to give space to their carry. Well, but that's not the plan of theirs and maybe on their minds it's like that 'if it works then it works'.

Fnatic might already be secured to relegation to division 2 but they wouldn't just give that up easy.

Yup, i'm not surprised Fnatic somehow manage to do it because sometimes teams that don't have anything to play for tend to get loose and potentially perform better than they usually do, reminds me of the time when I was betting on League last year and teams would suddenly pressure good teams like there are some big stakes on the line.

The other leg of my parlay also ended up busting with Team Nigma getting all of their best picks on both maps. Gladiators sweeping Tundra was something I didn't see coming I thought Tundra would bounce back after losing the first map but it's still the same stomp from start to finish, good to see them back on top though.

Today's a big final day for several teams since most of their final series will probably decide the next major slots and if there would be another set of matches to be played for the tiebreakers.

On to the bets, here's what I'll be going for between the SEA and EU region. Team SMG showed some signs of life in their last series and beat Blacklist International while their opponent Geek Slate looked shaky in their last series after getting a 0-2 loss vs Talon.

I added Talon -1.5 here as they've finally found their form winning three series in a row without dropping a map.

With the performance that Nigma pulled yesterday against OG, I think they have the chance to retain Division 1. They lose badly on the first map but were able to return the favor to OG on maps 2 and 3. If they can sustain that kind of aggressiveness against Entity and Secret, they will be able to pull wins and retain their current division. Team Secret was able to win their first match, but that was only against ITB. Nigma was able to beat OG which is way better than ITB. I think between Nigma and Team Secret, Nigma will win. A close match but Nigma has the upper hand.
That's also what I'm hearing about the fans of both teams, it seems that Nigma is much better than this DPC season than Team Secret. But still, we'll see them beat each other within the next few hours and that means that one of them should be sent back to division 2 or if it's Team Secret then it's going to be a new atmosphere to them.

Nigma has no problem being relegated to Division 2 since they spend most of their tournament on this division during the second half last year but they dominated completely Division 2 which makes them come back again easily. I believe Team Secret going there will be bad since they are still on adjustment phase due to the current roster change.

ATF and Sumail are very good carry on Nigma. They can beat Entity and Team Secret if they can maintain the performance level that they show on OG fight. I’m surprised how strong all the teams on WEU right now. Very fresh roster on most of the team yet they are still very strong based on the recent matches.
Yeah, they've been there and even missed the most recent TI while sitting there. While Nisha who's a former team Secret mid laner is now guaranteed a slot for the Lima major with his new team, the Team Liquid. His former team is really struggling a lot.

Geek woes continue as they seem losing their rhythm. They lost their 4th straight map against SMG. While Blacklist survived a scare and bounced back with a 2-1 win over BOOM. Blacklist versus Geek seems like a duel for the last slot. Unless Fnatic who already won game 1 will finally take its 1st win in this qualifier against Talon. Great games coming up in the region, thrilling and very important.
I think it's safe to say that Blacklist got to secure one slot for the Lima major and whether they win or lose tomorrow against Geek Slate, they'll still have the slot and ready to go there. What's worrisome is with Talon Esports, if they lose against Fnatic today for which Fnatic already got the first win then they'll also lose the slot for Lima.

And then we get to see Execration, Blacklist and Geek to secure all the three slots for the Lima major.

As for Nigma, we'll see then the battle for the division 2.  Grin
I was talking earlier as a fan. Cheesy I just actually bet over 2.5 maps today for Secret vs Nigma. Nigma obviously had a better performance lately but I hope Secret wins.
Good luck with that, 6 hours from now we'll get to see the fight for division 2. Haha!

Well, I said it correct on this one and Blacklist did really lose against SMG and as Fnatic loses against Execration. It's a big help to Talon that they've got a secured win for their very last match on January 27.

Geek Slate and Blacklist still has 2 matches remaining. And the fate of Talon Esports being the third slot to secure in Lima major will lie on the hands of these two teams that I've mentioned first.

While on WEU, Into the Breach is now out and goes to division 2.

Yeah. What a bummer. Of all the teams, Blacklist lose to the team they're supposed to win. The momentum is on Talon's side now having shut out their opponents in their last 3 series. Geek came from a loss while Blacklist lost all its 4 last maps. It's more like Talon and Geek are the ones to take the last 2 slots for the Lima major.

I guess Nigma is next to fall into division 2. But the most interesting part are the last games of GG, OG, and Tundra. Entity seems like a sure win over Nigma and a chance to earn tickets to Lima.
Yeah, for Talon. But with their situation, since Fnatic is out. They can still play their remaining match against Talon and it's going to be a hard precedent for them if they lose against Fnatic and if they'll still play for this match even they've got no more chance of staying in the division 1.

Currently, Talon and Geek are the most possible team to qualify but there are still games left for SEA's dpc.

Both bets won I had on Windingo & Beastcoast.
For the CS match, MiBR had a slight comeback but fell flat at the end.
For the Dota2 match with Beastcoast vs Thunder Awaken was getting interesting as it ended 45-35.
The second map versus Thunder Awaken they were struggling but managed to finally win it after 63 minutes of a slogfest.

According to ralle14's above bet it seems the consensus is that Talon esports are going to win their match against Fnatic forsure. The way everybody has been talking about them on here since the tournament started.

I placed my bet on Geek Slate for the next match of the series beginning in the next two hours.

Lastly over 2.5 on the bottom of the barrel matchup between Team Secret and Team Nigma since both are obviously fighting for relegation but Team Nigma still has another series after this one though so I feel like there's less urgency even though this is their best chance to avoid relegation.

I guess Nigma is next to fall into division 2. But the most interesting part are the last games of GG, OG, and Tundra. Entity seems like a sure win over Nigma and a chance to earn tickets to Lima.
Nigma still got 2 matches remaining, against Team Secret and then with Entity. Both Team Secret and Nigma are in danger of being relegated to division 2 but, only one of them is going back to division 2. But the chance that Nigma is better because even if Team Secret beats them, they still have a chance to retain division 1 if they win over Entity. Nevertheless, any of them might be kicked out of division 1 and will have to join the others on division 2.

I am not sure if Nigma is strong enough to beat Entity. Entity is quite strong this season. Entity was able to beat strong teams like Tundra and OG. Even with the performance they had against OG, that might not still be enough to get through Entity. Nigma better have a perfect game to stand a chance against Entity right now.

Though, I think they can beat Team Secret who are still in disarray right now with their new roster. That may be enough to retain their current division.

They don't need to beat Entity in order to secure their current placement. They just have to win against Team Secret and that's just it. That team doesn't have a single win on its belt right now, while Nigma is posting some maps against the better teams of today. They can score 1 map against Entity, but not sure if they can win the match. Either way, Secret is going Div 2 while Nigma stays at Div 1.
