Watched a bit of the Navi vs Heroic match but it didn't look to good for them as they went down to 14-9 last I looked before switching back to a match I was already watching.

The real contest I was waiting for was the G2 vs Team Liquid one due to the fact they came back against Vitality when down 14-3 for map 1 yesterday and ended up winning it after that. That was an amazing comeback from Liquid.
But G2 just annihilated them today with a 2-0 and it wasn't even a contest.
Monesy alongside Niko are an unstoppable force in CS:GO no denying this.
And to think it is Monesy's second year with the eSports club and actually made his debut this tournament last season in Katowice.

Can't wait for the Grand Finals tomorrow between these two sides.
It should be an epic match to witness!

Rare chance to bet on Navi as  underdogs right now.  They are rightfully labelled as that due to recent Heroic strength but if we are talking long term Navi are surely 50/50 contender not a true underdog.  The main consideration is their newest player fitting into NAvi, npl.   Can he perform against tough competition or still learning to find his fit within the team, even a stand in can do well at times so I dont know but it makes this a justified risky bet.

Best bet in this contest is to expect 3 maps, pick a side maybe but imo it shouldn't be that one team wipes the other in only 2 maps.  If that happens either team will be very upset that it occurred despite a 4 rank gap they are both capable of the win imo

Navi is giving a good fight on the first map, Inferno. They were down 8-2 but were able to pull 4 consecutive rounds. This will put NAVI in a good position in the second half as they will be CT. We all know that inferno is CT sided map so it is a big chance for NAVI to take the first map.

NAVI is still the underdog @ 2.50 on stake.com. A good chance to put some money on NAVI to take the first map.

It's sad news and it seems that the whole Fnatic organization is starting to pull out their teams in every e-sport. What are those that are remaining active without such bad news? So, for now, the two that I've seen are LOL and Dota 2.
Are they in crisis? They've been known as a team and organization that's been with high-tier players and always competitive alone for every tournament and game that they participate in. They even have those sponsorships from BMW and other known brands.

Bet on a League match just now but it lost and had a Dota2 match that is currently going on but that one is looking bleak too.
So just might stick to CS:GO for today as the IEM quarter finals are about to begin with Navi up against the Outsiders for the first match of the day then Team Vitality to face off against Team Liquid.
After today we will find out who goes on to the finals Sunday the 12th for the final day of the tournament.

Just noticed something sad in the LOL tournament's news:

I was reading this topic from time to time and I see people mostly bet on CSGO. Those anyone bet on LoL? I'm following it pretty closely and would like to hear some other opinions about some games.

I bet mostly on DOTA and CS, but from time to time I see posts about LOL here. If you start posting your bets on LOL, some may follow your lead. I am not following LOL but I may start to bet on it if I see good odds. And if you post your bets here, I may tail your bets since I am not that knowledgeable about LOL teams.

...Speaking of PSG.LGD, they're not completely going there as their pos 3 have been rejected and got to face a visa issue so he'll be switched by a stand-in player, old eleven.
Not cool. We just started the season and here comes this visa issue again. Although we do not really know the exact reason and it might be valid. But Peru being not noisy when it comes to world politics just like Singapore, I expect that country to be less harsh when it comes to visa processing. And with the new rules on DPC penalties, it hurts already for PSG.LGD. Let's just hope that the next hosts in the coming majors and the TI itself are countries with a neutral stance and not noisy on world politics to avoid possible visa problems.
There is nothing we can do about that. Hopefully, in the next Major or next big event in DOTA, it will be held in a more friendly country. It will really hurt teams that will have players that will have their DPC points deducted because of VISA issues.
I would agree with your evaluation of said teams and with Outsiders coming off the last major win in Road to Rio last season, the champions will be riding high off this and from what I have seen of them so far they haven't missed a step yet in this tournament.
Was hoping to place a bet on Navi early on today but then noticed these don't start until tomorrow later in the day.
Which is nice for a change so we can have some time to decide on what market is best to place those bets on.

Yeah, the Playoffs will start on the weekend, which is good because we can watch it.

Navi vs Outsiders will be a tough matchup. Outsiders have fallen to the lower bracket, but they are pretty consistent in their team play. They will give NAVI a hard time. I am thinking of placing a bet on them.

The other match is Vitality vs Team Liquid. Vitality got this bagged already, I think.
Outsiders were Virtus Pro last time they were in this tournament and from what I remember won it when they were VP.

Awesome video for this Intel Extreme Masters 2023 where you can see Virtus Pro in their old uniforms!

I guess that's one thing that we'll always get to see when it's with these majors, minors, and even on TI. It's been a long problem that keeps on existing and Valve should help these players and have it sponsored just for the sake of avoiding getting denied by an immigration officer.
I just wish the PSG.LGD best of luck and still without their original pos 3 player, old eleven is a good player so we should see them having still a good end.

Disappointing performances from Faze and Fnatic as they just couldn't get on a hot streak like they did last year in this tournament.

The remaining teams for the groups are playing right now.
https://sportsbet.io/sports/counter-strike/esl-cs-go/intel-extreme-masters/matches
Fnatic losing against Complexity was probably the biggest upset that day, but they'll probably lose against Outsiders in the lower final.

And my leans for the playoffs are both on the slight favs NaVi @1.6 and Vitality @1.6 since the Rio major champs(Outsiders) significantly dropped their form and NaVi's results steadily improved with npl. Team Liquid showed some signs of life after beating Faze but I still think they'll lose against Vitality since their wins in the lower bracket are too close when the teams they're facing aren't in their best form.

Overall, 2 teams left for China.

It is a tiebreaker again in CN DPC for the 4th slot in Lima Major. It is between Xtreme and Ehome.

But before that, it is a tie breaker between PSG.LGD and Aster for #1. This is an exciting game as we saw yesterday. The games between LGD and Aster yesterday keeps going back and forth. The lead keeps changing and it could have gone either way. Just a single mistake can cost a game between these two and they are playing almost a perfect DOTA. Better bet on over 2.5 maps on this game since it will be most likely to get a full series.

PSG.LGD once again reigns supreme in the Chinese region. After Faith_bian's retirement and XinQ not renewing the contract followed by Ame's decision to take a break, I thought this team will struggle to secure a place at the top 4 and it is time for Team Aster and Xtreme Gaming to rule the region.

I began to wonder if EHOME is unofficially becoming a second or farm team for PSG.LGD after taking planet and shiro. Earlier they also allowed XinQ and NothingToSay to play for PSG.LGD for more than 2 years and counting for the latter. I don't know if it is cool to allow teams to have another secondary teams just like Xtreme has YBB and Aster has Aster.Aries.
They've got young breeds and with NTS' role still remaining intact, they're going to Lima major. As for management having two teams, I think that policy of Valve is still the same.
If ever both teams qualifies to a major or to the International, only one team shall go with it. Speaking of PSG.LGD, they're not completely going there as their pos 3 have been rejected and got to face a visa issue so he'll be switched by a stand-in player, old eleven.

Yeah, PSG LGD  is still the top team and that shows how easily they have beaten Aster in their tiebreaker. I think the coach is the big factor why PSG is still very strong even though 3 of the previous players are not on the roster anymore.

I do not know if EHOME is a second team of LGD but they are quite strong themselves. They were able to 2-0 xtreme gaming  on their tie breaker by playing a perfect game.

What a match between G2 esports against Faze Clan today in the IEM Katowice 2023 tournament earlier for the competition.
Odds were pretty even prematch so this one was a who's for who on which team would win.
But G2 proved they are the world's best with a 2:0 win.

Can't wait for the rest of the brackets to settle and see who will win it all for this Masters.

Yeah Furia dropped the first map then I knew I lost but the bigger odds 2:0 option won. That is parlaying CS GO for you!

League play hasn't been discussed much on here in a while so thanks for bringing one of their matches up.
Good luck on your betslip @ralle14!

My bets for today's matches in the IEM tournament seem to be against what I usually do with going -1.5 maps but been watching the underdog teams and they are no match for the favorites in these earlier ones.
FURIA looking shaky after that huge upset from IHC and it nearly went 2-0 when they're up 15-11 in the second map.

I've gone for a league bet on IG to win 2-0 and I'll ride their momentum for now as they're 3-0(6-0 in maps) in the standings while their opponent (TT) is currently sitting at the bottom of the standings with a 0-2 record (0-4 in maps).
