Overall, 2 teams left for China.

It is a tiebreaker again in CN DPC for the 4th slot in Lima Major. It is between Xtreme and Ehome.

But before that, it is a tie breaker between PSG.LGD and Aster for #1. This is an exciting game as we saw yesterday. The games between LGD and Aster yesterday keeps going back and forth. The lead keeps changing and it could have gone either way. Just a single mistake can cost a game between these two and they are playing almost a perfect DOTA. Better bet on over 2.5 maps on this game since it will be most likely to get a full series.

My bets for today's matches in the IEM tournament seem to be against what I usually do with going -1.5 maps but been watching the underdog teams and they are no match for the favorites in these earlier ones.

Poor Blacklist, there were a lot of times that they can take the slot for the Lima majors, 2nd and 3rd slot but yet, they've got nothing. Poor team, too hyped by their fans but all they get is nothing. Yeah, they might be exhausted but that's the consequence of losing first with Geek and then being pressured with the slot that they should have taken. I thought that Talon wouldn't make it as the chance is more likely with Blacklist than them but yeah, points system and tie breakers.

Had the same thought too since Blacklist is performing very well early in this DPC round. Actually, I really thought they should have won against Geek and many time they had the opportunity to take the win but they did not. That is why I am thinking it is a throw. Anyway, they lost a chance for LIma Major and important DPC points. DPC points are very important and every bit of them matters if they want to be eligible for TI this year.

Talon did well. From a poor start to being able to qualify for Lima. Congrats to them for taking the 3rd spot for Lima Major.
I have high hopes for them but I don't think that's a throw. Those other two teams, Geek and Talon were just better than them yesterday. It's a big feeling of loss for the team for sure because they've anticipated that they'll take the slot and will take the best position for having those chances.
But, that's it, they have come to an end, and congratulations to both teams that have taken the last 2 slots for the SEA. Overall, 2 teams left for China.

After that 1-0 start from Blacklist I nearly thought it'll be their first clean win but Geek Slate is just better when it comes to late game situations. I also had a bet on them thinking there was good value in their odds since this was probably the only time they were the underdogs.

EU tiebreakers are still ongoing but it looks like Entity and Tundra will be taking the last two major spots.

Edit: I take it back OG somehow pulled off the comeback against Entity Shocked round three tiebreakers incoming.

Blacklist just lost easily to Talon by 0-2. Those 3 games with Geek including two 70+ minutes games must be very exhausting for them. And it is difficult to easily move on from those games and refresh within 3 hours.

What a throw by blacklist. Game 3 was so boring. Blacklist already has the lead and almost mega creeps and they cannot close the game. They stall the game and placed the Naga in a better position. They are too afraid of the Naga that pushed the game to a very late game. It is a waste of bet. Blacklist is now tied with Talon and will play later for a tie breaker for Lima Major.

It was a deciding ticket to Lima major since the loser will only have 3 hours to rest before facing Talon. It seems that both teams do not want to take huge risks at that stage of the game. And I thought Blacklist will benefit it with more clones and units to outmaneuver the bases of Geek. Geek though remained patient waiting for that big single mistake.

Alright moving to WEU, Team Secret is joining the party of division 2 teams.

Team Secrets current roster is a far cry from what they have a few months ago in TI. They did not even win a map against Nigma. It is a shame that they let go of Nisha, who are working perfectly for them. Now, Team Liquid is very much enjoying the service of Nisha.
It is sure that they've made a downgrade instead of an upgrade but they have no choice. It was not the team's choice to let him go but Nisha's choice to find another opportunity somewhere else and he has seen it with Team Liquid and they did well for qualifying to Lima major.

Team Liquid now is no doubt stronger with Nisha's addition to the roster.

Now as for Team Secret, I wouldn't be surprised if they'll have an announcement that Boom's trial period to their team has expired and will look for another mid laner.

I am wondering who they will pick up next. I am sure they can come out of Division 2 in the next round but it is important who will replace Boom. It is hard to earn DPC if they replace their roster because of the new rule that will deduct dpc points when substituting a player. I do not know if it will apply to the case of Team Secret though.
Yeah, they can come out of division 2 for sure but as long as there's no announcement yet if they'll change roster then let's think of who will they pick for replacing any of them.

When the DPC was about to start, many have been saying that they should replace Crystallis but, it didn't happened. Maybe this time even if many fans will tell them that they should replace Boom, they'll still give time for it and won't be hasty to replace him.

Entity forced a 3-way tie with OG and Tundra after beating Nigma 2-0. The first game of the tiebreaker will be tomorrow between Tundra and OG.

I am making a small bet on the game tomorrow between Blacklist and Geek Fam. Both teams need the win to solidify their slot for Lima Major. This will be a good match and should be neck and neck.

That Talon -1.5 has been a trap that many people fell into. Weird picks from Talon and perhaps overconfidence because they were doing well on their previous matches. I mean, who the hell uses Rubick as position 3 in a meta dominated by durable offlane and carries supported by early game nukers? CM and Tiny just ate the hell out of Jabz in game 1, and they can't seem to really find any answer to Fnatic's aggression as the game progresses. Overconfidence IMO brought them to experiment and try other heroes thinking that they can edge against Fnatic.
I will understand if that's a rubick mid so that it can move easily early game and will manage the map control to give space to their carry. Well, but that's not the plan of theirs and maybe on their minds it's like that 'if it works then it works'.

Fnatic might already be secured to relegation to division 2 but they wouldn't just give that up easy.

Yup, i'm not surprised Fnatic somehow manage to do it because sometimes teams that don't have anything to play for tend to get loose and potentially perform better than they usually do, reminds me of the time when I was betting on League last year and teams would suddenly pressure good teams like there are some big stakes on the line.

The other leg of my parlay also ended up busting with Team Nigma getting all of their best picks on both maps. Gladiators sweeping Tundra was something I didn't see coming I thought Tundra would bounce back after losing the first map but it's still the same stomp from start to finish, good to see them back on top though.

Today's a big final day for several teams since most of their final series will probably decide the next major slots and if there would be another set of matches to be played for the tiebreakers.

On to the bets, here's what I'll be going for between the SEA and EU region. Team SMG showed some signs of life in their last series and beat Blacklist International while their opponent Geek Slate looked shaky in their last series after getting a 0-2 loss vs Talon.

I added Talon -1.5 here as they've finally found their form winning three series in a row without dropping a map.

With the performance that Nigma pulled yesterday against OG, I think they have the chance to retain Division 1. They lose badly on the first map but were able to return the favor to OG on maps 2 and 3. If they can sustain that kind of aggressiveness against Entity and Secret, they will be able to pull wins and retain their current division. Team Secret was able to win their first match, but that was only against ITB. Nigma was able to beat OG which is way better than ITB. I think between Nigma and Team Secret, Nigma will win. A close match but Nigma has the upper hand.
That's also what I'm hearing about the fans of both teams, it seems that Nigma is much better than this DPC season than Team Secret. But still, we'll see them beat each other within the next few hours and that means that one of them should be sent back to division 2 or if it's Team Secret then it's going to be a new atmosphere to them.

Nigma has no problem being relegated to Division 2 since they spend most of their tournament on this division during the second half last year but they dominated completely Division 2 which makes them come back again easily. I believe Team Secret going there will be bad since they are still on adjustment phase due to the current roster change.

ATF and Sumail are very good carry on Nigma. They can beat Entity and Team Secret if they can maintain the performance level that they show on OG fight. I’m surprised how strong all the teams on WEU right now. Very fresh roster on most of the team yet they are still very strong based on the recent matches.
Yeah, they've been there and even missed the most recent TI while sitting there. While Nisha who's a former team Secret mid laner is now guaranteed a slot for the Lima major with his new team, the Team Liquid. His former team is really struggling a lot.
