i've changed my strategy and been placing much bigger stakes on some value picks and also lower than what i'm used to odds in both prematch and inplay and i've been seeing really good profits  Smiley
Nice catch on the live handicap, even if the odds aren't that big a win is still a win.  Cheesy

So many one sided matches today, anyway i'll go with V5 +1.5 @1.45, TOP lost against RA while V5 reverse swept RA just a few days ago, i'm thinking V5 should get at least a map since they're doing okay so far.

Interesting. It prolongs the process sure, but it's pretty open to more teams entering the TI, which means more competitiveness in the overall scene. Though ig this favors teams with way too many strong teams since they'd have the opportunity to enter more teams in the competition. Though I guess that just goes to show how strong a certain country is when it comes to the competitive scene. Better for some bettors i guess? More matches to actually bet on after all, and possibly more matchups to see.
It is always better for us bettors to have more matches so we can bet on it.

And with this update from Valve, they're going to apply this by next month and we're already near to the end of January, so quick. Of course, the strongest teams are going to compete for that new update.

They're given like a wild card type of tournament for them to go on for each teams goal, the TI. Let's see if there won't be any changes as Valve have always been changing these policies when the schedule is near.

Guys there's new TI format for the upcoming Ti11, 2nd and 3rd places from each region of TI qualifiers will be playing on lan before TI11 start. The top 2 performing teams from this qualifiers advanced to TI. So there will be now 20 teams that will gonna compete on TI.

I believe this decision is due to last wildcard event happened on EU last year which Tundra fails to enter since only one team per region will gonna advance to TI. This will give chance for a team that belongs to the region thaf has a lot of strong competitors to have a chance to go on TI.

almost pulled the trigger on Gen.G x1.6 after they lost game 1 cos you won't see those odds very often for gen.g,, dang it! i didn't believe :/

this is awesome...giving another chane to those teams who very often display their best dota during the qualifiers but fail to make it to TI cos they didn't reach fist place is great...remember Tundra last year? they were very underwhelming throughout the entire dota pro circuit until the last part of the season when they became one of the best teams WEU region and finished 2nd in the qualifiers

I think Kpii's good if he just go back to the China region and play for some teams there.
Imo he's doing okay in the SEA region and I don't think there's any Chinese team willing to pick another offlane.

Edit : Yikes what a throw in the second map. They should've had that in the bag but a couple of mistakes in the late game cost them the map.
He's a veteran and there would be teams that will still pick him as experienced player. I guess the issue with him playing for the sea is that he's on Australia and that's likely the server issue.
But I guess for some reasons, he'd just stay wherever he is right now and that's just my opinion for which I think that he's been effectively used and also used to the play style of chinese teams.

This will definitely in favor for EU and China region since they are the one who has a lot of strong team. EU recently always have a multiple tie breaker in any of there event which means there teams performance is very close to each other unlike on other region like SEA and NA which only few teams are dominating there own respective region. Good adjustment by the management.

I like this format although it's prolonging the process but this should do good and favorable to those that have fell shortly on those qualifiers.

Hopefully, as they promise that this is going to be a LAN tournament, there's no even that can stop it. Well, as all of us know, there's still the pandemic and restrictions and requirements are different from each country so that could be the difficult part for some.

But this is Valve, if they say that it's going to be a LAN, they just have to make sure that they'll be doing it on a country that's not that too strict.

Intel world open in Beijing just started and we have some great games. Just watched first map between PSG.LGD and XG and it was a cracker with Ame on Morphling. It is a LAN event for a change but I am seriously pissed with all the breaks. There is now an hour break after the first map and it was a very long break before first map as well. Not really friendly for viewers but I guess they have some technical problems.

Good thing there is Team Secret against Nigma on at the same time so I have something to watch Smiley My bet is on Secret in that one and later on I have Nigma to win against OG.

This could have been a solid win if it wasnt for HR weird gameplay, I honestly feels dumb after parlaying these bets lol
Same here, I didn't expect it coming and after that loss I hope VP wins the tiebreaker since there's something wrong when every other team was able to beat Team Empire except these guys.

Also, there's some leaks going on about a small upcoming tournament after the first DPC season, there's no announcement yet but I hope it's true so we'd get some more action in the next following weeks.

that's gonna make the DPC Weu tiebreakers more spicy,, fight for dpc points and a chance to play in this pseudo online major  Grin
granted it's BO1 and the quality of all teams is too good meaning it's gonna be really really hard to predict a winner so i'll stay away from betting on this one,

just waiting for this double to hit,

but Gambots just lost map 2,, Overpass will be a tricky one :/

Took this one as well and parlay it with another bet, also taking Tspirit -1.5 as well.
-snip

Look at this, it was a solid 2.0 odds for Tspirit taking this down by 2 game. I knew that Tspirit is going to win the last game for sure but I obviously dont know why would HR even lose to a team that hasnt win a single game for the entire DPC series. I wished that I made another single bet for Tspirit -1.5 but I didnt lol, could have gone big on this one

Only a couple more days left until the first season of the DPC wraps up, I see some value on HR -1.5 as they face the weakest team which is Team Empire they're currently 0-6 and only won 2 maps. This should be a quick 2-0 for Hellraisers and a must win for them as well since they're currently tied with VP for third place but VP is facing Team Spirit on their last match.

Took this one as well and parlay it with another bet, also taking Tspirit -1.5 as well. Tspirit still need to win this game to make sure that they will take the 1st position for an extra of 300 DPC points so should be an easy 2-0 for both of these teams. Obviously no hate for VP, they are great but Tspirit is just so much better currently

On DPC division 2 on SEA, Polaris got the first place and they're already going to division 1. While on DPC Sea division 1, TNC is already out of it and they're already sent to division 2. And with some other news, Talon Esports' Gabbi and Fly has parted ways with them. I guess for these two talents, they've done it well of getting out of that no hope team.
Already saw it coming after they end up in the middle of the standings, Talon really got a solid roster but it just didn't mesh well together, I still can't forget that one match where they drafted Bristleback as the position 1.

I honestly think Talon still has the potential but imo they need another carry with a better hero pool.

Also surprised to see Damwon go down against Nongshim, that must've felt good on Ghost.  Cheesy
Yeah, when their debut, everyone is hyped with their roster since Fly is coming from the NA region jumping to Sea but it didn't do good. I think their mikoto and hyde are better with their co-Indonesian players. Kpii won't be performing at his best if he's on this team.
I guess we're going to see that he's the one leaving the team and would find some better teams. I think Kpii's good if he just go back to the China region and play for some teams there.

Aster took the game with a score of 2-0.
IG's performance was just disappointing, on both maps Aster took the networth lead from start to finish, after that 2-0 sweep they're surely on their way to division 2.
Yeah, likely that they're on their own the division 2. They're one of the bottom two and they're in danger of going to division 2. The last match for them is going to be with PSG.LGD and boy, we know that team won't allow themselves to lose.

Aster took the game with a score of 2-0.

The first game is close, from early to mid game but I don't think that IG's line up is going to be par with Aster's at the late game. I don't see any good reason why they've picked TA and didn't finished the game too early when they're still good and tie with them.

Since Aster's carry is Anti-mage, also, they lack of disables.
IG was just bloody disappointing. Game 1 had some fights in it, they were able to actually fight back, get a few early picks but the mid-game was kind of a mess for them. They kept getting picked off, not to mention the ability that Aster had to lock down an enemy (since they had pango on game 1). Game 2 was, well, very disappointing. They kept getting caught out, even with them initiating some early trades they just lost out the fight. Game 1 was close, Game 2 was a complete sweep.
Mistakes after mistakes and that just happened already. They're up with an experienced team but that's it, Chinese teams are strong and the better always wins.
