Just in, Virtus.Pro is threatened to be out of the gamer's galaxy since we know that VP is a Russian team and there's a war between Russia and Ukraine. Majority has given their compassion to Ukraine and has put sanctions to almost every sporting event for Russia and kicked them out.
Official Twitter of VP: https://twitter.com/virtuspro/status/1498715741478166532

This is a bit misleading. VP was asked to make a statement regarding the war and that they sympatize with Ukraine but they choose not to then they were given the options of letting their players play without the jersey because their jersey reflected Russian but they dont want to do that as well so it was their own fault for being disqualified in the first place

VP doesn't really have a choice at all. They are owned by a Russian and if they say or do anything against what Putin is doing they will be arrested, and probably 'disappear'. It's sad that even eSports is affected by this, and there's really not much we can do about it. For now, any sporting events that Russians participate in will probably have an eerie atmosphere wherein they would need to explain their stance on the current invasion, and IMO that is not a good experience at all.

As for the event, I'm kinda rooting for NGX.SEA but it'll be a tough match to find their place in.

I've updated the Calendar in the OP!

Hearthstone, PUBG, Valorant, AoE4, Valorant, etc, etc... tons of stuff for everyone. I forgot to include the Call of Duty League Major, but this one also starts this month. Btw, if anyone's interested in placing tickets in AoE4, bookmaker Pinnacle is one of the few sites offering lines for the next N4C tournament, all in on TheViper  Grin

on a different note, TSM are out of Gamers Galaxy after finishing 0-3, the TSM hype died really quick heh! and Team Secret are not off the hook with 0-2 recird, but NGX.SEA are having a terrible early game against Secret, i think i just saw a team wipe or was it just four NGX players dying, not sure

we could see something in the CSGO pro scene https://www.hltv.org/news/33359/blast-pledges-not-to-invite-russia-based-teams-in-foreseeable-future

Anyway we had great game at the Gamers Galaxy and Team Spirit wasnt really dominating there, kinda surprising tbh

Looking forward on the LPL matchup between WBG vs RNG (starts in a couple of hours), already placed my bet on WBG @1.60 even though they tend to drop a map they're always coming out on top. Meanwhile, on the side of RNG, they dropped two series in their last three and I think they'll get their fourth loss here since WBG manage to beat V5 while RNG got swept when they fought V5. I just think WBG's odds are good enough as they're able to handle some of the other top teams.

12 hours away from the first Dota 2 game of GAMERS GALAXY: Invitational Series Dubai 2022. Its been a while since TI that we have all those big teams from different regions playing against each another especially with all these covid flight restrictions and stuff. This would have been perfect if big teams from China regions are included but atleast this is much better than getting nothing after the 1st Major was cancelled

Of course another match for the new OG members against the TI champion, team spirit and another team secret I didn't expect that Nigma Galaxy Sea will come up with the Direct invite too this is another game that is really need to wait for this event i guess, OG is the higher chance to win this game, but of course Team spirit are still on the top Magnus player because of Collapse initiation on every team fight.
Not to underestimate the current roster of OG but i dont think that they could able to win against that current TI champs which is TS.
Yatoro does have huge hero pool plus having that OP toronttokyo handling the mid plus having those good supports like Mira
then i dont see that this would really be an easy match up for any teams that could possibly versus with.

G2 started good, but the end gave Faze a clean 3-0 win. It was a big slip for G2 missing the win after a great comeback. This was the first time in IEM Katowice a North American and Australian player had ever won an Intel Extreme Masters championship. From Twitter, G2 have planned to remove Manek as coach and replace him with XTQZZZ.

I was about to punch myself after seeing that great comeback, but man I was relieved when they cannot convert it to a win.

Watching the match was a rollercoaster, such a strong comeback from Faze in the first map and then the lenghty overtime in the second match. It was a 3-0 win but not an easy won for sure, very well played by both teams. Was a great athmosphere to watch it live. I felt like there was so much ingame betting during the final than I barely see from CSGO matches. After the first 5-6 round wins for G2 the odds came down to 1.25 for a win of G2, just to see them switch to Faze in the second half of the match. Broky is a great player, he deserved to be the MVP of Katowice 2022, I just felt that Ropz played a little better. His strong performance carried them through the finals. His ACE in the first game was so sick. Looking forward to the Major in two months.

called it, even though i was hoping for a very close game, i kinda expected this, G2 once again with a dreadful performance in a grand final:

it takes a great amount of effort to reach a final and they deserve praise for that, sure, but still, 0 maps won  Lips sealed
Those amount of second place finish reminds me of the time when Team Liquid's dota squad had the same results before they got their TI win.

I hope G2 also get their chance to take the trophy since they somewhat deserve it given their consistency.  Cheesy

Even if it's a 3-0 for Faze it's crazy how all maps could've gone both ways with the first two going overtime then the third one going through all 30 rounds. And, it's impressive to see Faze not dropping a map during the entire playoffs plus they're playing with a stand-in.

For my pick today, i'll be taking RA -1.5 @2.06 vs WE, last week RA is starting to improve as they took down RNG and FPX 2-0 and now that they're about to face a weaker opposition another 2-0 seems likely here.

After watching the semi finals yesterday it feels like G2 should take it all the way, on the other side Faze also have the momentum and even with a standin it's still impressive that these guys got this far.

I'll probably go with G2 later even if the odds seem skewed, as I view this series as a tossup since both teams haven't dropped a map so far. Hopefully, they take the first map so they could secure the insurance promo on stake.  Smiley

Yeah I agree, G2 looked like the stronger team during the playoffs. Beating NAVI in the Semifinals came as a big surprise to me, especially winning confidently 2-0 with no overtime. Usually my NAVI pick pays off better  Smiley Just not sure if I should place a last minute bet now on G2, with 1.5 G2 seems like the strong favourite of the game. Maybe a small bet at these odds on Faze is better payout.

It was a shocker that Na'Vi lost against G2, but knowing what the team is going through, with the war and stuff that's going, it's understandable that they may not be as focused as they were on previous tournaments. G2 was cold-blooded on their bout against Na'Vi, but can't seem to find any openings against Faze. That odds kinda tempted me to go into G2, but just didn't bet at the last minute due to hesitations and glad that it was the right call.

Faze won 3-0, clear result. They played great in important moments and didn't give any chance to G2. Not only Karrigan carried them again, but ropz and Twistzz put their everything. It was an emotional moment for Karrigan after the celebration. They failed in 2017 and 2018 but this time they made it. Faze Clan is the new IEM Katowice champion.

No matter how much my heart is for Faze. When I look at the game of G2, I can clearly say that it is much superior to Faze, and I will go with G2 in this grand final. Niko and M0nesy, even hunter, they really carry the team well. Regardless, Faze is not an easy team either. I expect a superior performance from ROPZ, especially in the grand finals of this match.

Aaaand your bets lost. Grin

FaZe moneyline 2.4, nice value imo. G2 looking really good lately but it's just the same old story with this team, isn't it? they play extremely well (with Niko carrying the whole team) thoughout a top tier tournament and then they get spooked when they reach the Grand Final
I have +1.5 FaZe in a single and i also booked a double with O3.5 maps at 1.4 odds plus a football game... knowing my luck G2 are gonna 3-0 today 🥲 regardless, can't wait for this series, i really hope we go to the last map!

I expect a superior performance from ROPZ, especially in the grand finals of this match.
same. If Niko doesn't win 'player of the match', then i expect ROPZ to take it... but keep an eye on Broky, he's had some stellar performances in this tourney
