Astralis is a bit different chapter. All of the players and coaches there are legend and I don't think that org would like to lose all of them after device left. I think the org behind would fix this all in the end.
they certainly have the cash to sign good players if they ever decide to start from scratch and build a new roster, but for now it looks like they want young and promising players?  https://www.hltv.org/news/32101/astralis-reestablish-extended-roster-with-lucky-signing

gla1ve signed a new contract but other members of the team have contracts till the end of the year so I think that also is gonna resolve at that point. The new Awper is a young and danish player so I think they were looking for someone to communicate easily and get along quickly. Let's see how it turns out to be in upcoming ESL Pro League 14.

That's brutal, but good thing they caught him doing it since it's frustrating to see others get away with these type of behavior.

Giving LEC a go later today, I have SK [email protected] their performance these past couple of weeks seems better (winning 3/4 plus it's against Fnatic and Mad lions) compared to Astralis and they have side selection as well as Astralis was given priority during their last meeting.

Eloncoin.org - Mars, here we come!
Just came back from rest days, not that many exciting games for Dota 2 but there are few little tournaments that are happening and upcoming but this tournament got my attention. The OGA Dota Pit Season 5 China: https://liquipedia.net/dota2/Dota_Pit_League/Online/5/China
5 China qualified teams for TI are going to clash on this tournament and I guess it would be a lot of experiments that will be made on this tournament that they can use in TI.

As the saying goes there is "no bad exposure", every media exposure can be turned into working for your team in the end with clever PR managers. I like to see a bit drama as well. The scene has been too quiet lately so we need something like this to stir it up a little. Can't wait for some serious tournaments and to think that before covid restrictions I had no clue about eSports.

See you can find something good even in disaster like covid pandemic. I got fired at the beginnings but than landed a job with better company, got to spend a lot more time with my family and discovered eSports. Now if only I could get into LoL as well  Wink

I'm starting to feel like Hunden might move to Astralis, I remember reading some news about their coach zonic potentially leaving the team since his contract is about to expire as well. If that's their actual plan in the near future then things might get interesting once again.
sure about that? cuz things are about to get really interesting https://www.hltv.org/news/32112/heroic-announce-legal-proceedings-against-hunden-following-clear-breach-of-contract .

That came down as a bit shocking as well. It was quite surprising when he left heroic in the middle of the ESL campaign without any kind of announcements or so. Guess this was the reason. Even Hunden to Astralis is just a rumour I feel. Anyway that also wouldn't happen now with such taint.

the scene has been lacking some drama for a while, this new one might be more interesting to follow than the WePlay academy league games 😂🤣 but seriously, i feel like the astralis org will take a big hit in their reputation with someone like hunden in the team

typical IG this season, right? beat TES 2-0 then the next day they shit the bed against BLG...and earlier today JDG lost 0-2 vs. OMG...heh! no way i would've won something today, glad i skipped both  Tongue
Yeah what a letdown, I nearly thought they're back in it but BLG was just the better team.

anyway, some csgo news: Hunden will leave Heroic https://www.hltv.org/news/32108/hunden-decides-not-to-extend-with-heroic-i-wish-to-begin-a-new-chapter-of-my-career

i'm gonna miss the "Hunden cam" memes after every heroic clutch  Sad

I feel like the meta would still be the same since it's been a while since the last patch was released and if we'll have a patch then the changes won't be that big knowing TI is a few months away.
Well, the terrain shifts in the map is going to be a big contributor to new meta plus there's a lot of new items involved that can be used by other players to their advantage to formulate a new strategy. Of course, there's no big changes but just so you know the last one had a big change even though it's a months away for the tournament to happen.

Backing [email protected] as they'll be facing BLG today, they're slowly showing signs of life after beating TES yesterday.

Valorant is a potential big sport that's going to be hopefully be on par with the success of CS:GO but I still have this inkling feeling that Valorant in my opinion is just a rip off of Overwatch which has a pretty good tournaments but Blizzard is just too stupid to keep up the hype and take care of the game now it's not popular.
I don't think we should put the blame on the game I know the OWL is somewhat losing viewership recently but I think it's mostly because of the exclusive deal they took with youtube and we all know youtube's live streaming community isn't that big compared to twitch and visibility isn't great as browsing through their live section is a bit of a hassle.

Don't know any big events happening besides the International 10 but no matter what tournament it is, I would be saving all my money to bet on the International, I feel like the new teams add challenge in betting since it's a new meta and new teams are playing the tournament and OG isn't what they used to be so I feel like this tournament is going to crown a different champion.

Are there any big major incoming in CS:GO ? I know that in Dota we won't have any big tournaments before TI in October.

Try Valorant! Stage 3 challengers are happening right now and I'm wondering why VALORANT isn't included in the OP because it's the mainstream game right now and a lot of tournaments happened recently. Even the popular streamers of twitch are playing Valorant and having watch party on VCT Challengers 2 and now I'm waiting for VALORANT Champions Tour 2021: North America Stage 3 Challengers Playoffs. and next is the VCT Berlin Masters! A lot of tournaments are waiting so I hope that those popular platforms mentioned have VALORANT bettings.

As mentioned by tomahawk the next big tournament is the ESL Pro League which is 3 weeks from now. Aside from ESL there's also the SA RMR tournament I don't follow the SA scene that much so i'd stick to League.

Other than league the COD major is also scheduled to kick off within the next few days. It sucks that most crypto bookies only have match winners since the top teams usually cover the handicaps. Grin

I also have a small bet on Navi junior/Mouz nxt, should be an easy win for Mouz since things looks brutal on the side of Furia and odds on Young Ninjas felt way too high for me now that Navi is gaining some form.

Since LPL will start in tuesday i'll have to give in to the WePlay academy matches for today
i just locked my tickets for a couple of games https://sportsbet.io/sharebetslip/64c60771-e349-42be-aa5f-f56fcd51ac94

yes, i added IG to a ticket, i don't know why i did it tho 😞
Damn guys, still only talking about LoL, just kidding I know there isn't much action across eSports at the moment.

[...]
heh! it's the off season/crappy tournaments time in almost every esport except League. Next week is when we're gonna start seeing some action in dota, rainbow six, valorant and csgo, with some higher tier events

talkiing about csgo, esl pro league just released the groups and it's looking pretty good https://www.hltv.org/news/32102/epl-s14-groups-drawn-astralis-heroic-vitality-kick-off-group-a

my early predictions on who advances to playoffs: group a, Heroic, Astralis, Spirit. group b, G2, VP and OG. group c, Navi, BIG, Mouse. group d, Gambit, NIP, Furia

I'm wondering why VALORANT isn't included in the OP because it's the mainstream game right now and a lot of tournaments happened recently.
you mean in the "popular Esports" part? cos i did add valorant to the Calendar  Sad along side other esports which are still somehwat small in the gambling scene imo and didn't have many big tournaments this month.

The part about the popular ones, that's a quote from a user and he didn't include it at the time of writing. But, if you have the speficic info about valorant (Prize Fund, Prize Tournaments Number, the things the user @soliton included in his post) and you want me to add it the OP, let me know and i'll do it asap (:

Well , besides LOL , there is really nothing to watch in this period. Personally , I don't like LOL but I do like TFT from that game even if I barely have any time to open any game and when I do , usually won't last long.

I just placed a bet on Chicken Fighters to win against Winstrike, did not watch much DOTA lately and wanted to make myself watch this one. I saw some glimpses of Winstrike games and they are playing some strange DOTA, if CF are anywhere near to the levels they were I watched them last time this should be easy game for them.

Tarik (former major winner) is playing with Bad News Bears (rank 59) tonight in a semi final.   He is retired kinda, streaming playing valorent but playing at this level shouldnt be a stretch and even better ptr is a long term team mate of his offically and unofficially so this game should be with the bears.
1000 IQ move from this team getting Tarik to play both the semifinal and grand final. I just saw the match stats in both games and he absolutely destroyed his opponents. Crazy how a player of his caliber can make another look 10x better

Since LPL will start in tuesday i'll have to give in to the WePlay academy matches for today, taking BIG to win vs Navi @2.38 in terms of recent results Navi are performing better that's why they're the favorites heading in to this match but BIG won in their previous meeting. It all comes down to their carry player monesy since most of Navi's results are one sided while BIG can rely on one another as they have slightly better players all around. Adding [email protected] as well since their losses were much closer compared to Furia.
