c'mon, TP

Secret was also my pick for early ticket but PSG.LGD has taken them down quite easy. Did not watch the first map, but Secret did not do themselves any favors with the draft in the decider.
i didn't watch the game but, was it really the draft the deciding factor? or was LGD actually the better team in the last game?

heh! the remaining teams in the tourney and the fans watching it had a big sigh of relief now that it's clear that, surprise surprise, Team Secret CAN be beaten lol  Grin btw, anyone else surprised at how good OB Esports are performing? underdogs are on a high right now!

anyway, friendly reminder that the ESL Pro League is back! i'm expecting G2 - TL to be a close match https://i.ibb.co/7R7k9yq/over25mps.png

Now I played backup ticket Vici -1.5 plus TP to take at least one map.
Game 1 is just the same as game 3 where it all came down on the drafting phase, Secret's draft on game 1 lacked a lot of teamfight presence and LGD's heroes had good counters against the heroes of Secret so whenever they try to answer or look for teamfights LGD can easily disengage then fight on their own terms.

This is why I haven't made pre live picks recently on the major, each game is decided heavily on the drafting phase and going for live bets is the way to do it.

I also have the Vici handicap on the next series, might hedge it live if they go for weird drafts like Secret.

My only confident picks for today are Team Secret, Suning -2.5 and Schalke +1.5 against Fnatic since Schalke pushed G2 to a game 5 last week. Suning and Team Secret pretty much self explanatory as both of them are playing a level above their opponents.

RA are playing so good rn. It's 1-1, and i honestly have no idea how this is gonna go now, IG looked good in prematch but now that i'm watching the match live, it's totally 50/50, theShy has been kinda shit in the series so far
EDIT* XUN and TheShyte in game 5  Lips sealed winnable game, they had the lead, and they threw it away...what a throw
It was just frustrating to watch on the side of IG, no lead is safe for them until they take down the base as the same thing happened in game 1 where they get a good early start but all it takes is one or two poor team fight executions for them to throw the lead back and lose.

What an upset by Neon, Fnatic looking flat throughout the series game 1 and 2 was all about the draft then game 3 could've gone either way if only Fnatic had a decent laning phase but all three of them failed so hard the snowball was just too much on the side of Neon. If Neon didn't go for an experiment draft in game 2 it could've been a 2-0 tbh.
The last game looks like a throw honestly although Fnatic really sucked with their pick for that match. Moon was outplayed by Yopaj. That's really a passive game and well played for Neon. Tomorrow, we're going to see if Neon will still be able to go to the next level of the lower bracket if they'll beat Vici Gaming. VP and Thunder Predator is also going to have the match tomorrow, TP is sure a strong team but we'll see if VP will end their journey.

Liquid and Fnatic are out of the Singapore major...Team Secret now the only hope for EU...Fnatic losing to the team who finished 7th in the round robin, oof! :/

On the T1 series I also think 3-0 is likely since DRX fell off at the end of the season at best they'd get one map if T1 doesn't have a good draft.
unfortunate. I only watched game 1 and it was surprisingly a close fight until that last skirmish where Canna and Faker got the job done. But DRX came to play  Shocked  2-1 for T1, tho

i'm also backing IG in a single ticket

I didn't watch the first game but damn the snowball in the fight the lack of damage output of Fnatic in the clash is a contributor to their defeat. I think so too but in my opinion the reason that Neon made the bad draft in the 2nd match might be to make a good synergy, I mean they chose the Earth Spirit and Puck combo which is effective but the Raven's Alchemist has a big lead in net worth.

on a different note, LPL playoffs start tomorrow, Rare Atom - Invictus Gaming. IG obviously have the edge 'cause Rookie and TheShy, but RA should not be underestimated. And in the LCK we'll have DRX - T1, i'll be very surprised if this doesn't end 3-0 for T1. As soon as Canna and Faker returned to the main rosters after the BRO debacle, T1 looked SO much better than before
I agree IG with the edge on this matchup since they've been through multiple playoffs before and we saw RA took down IG in the regular season but it's hard to tell which RA would show up, on a good day they could take down teams like WE and FPX then on their off day they'd lose to teams like LGD and BLG.

On the T1 series I also think 3-0 is likely since DRX fell off at the end of the season at best they'd get one map if T1 doesn't have a good draft.

With all that said I have the handicap on T1 and IG match winner as my picks for today.

It's April, which means time to update the OP!
Calendar updated (also added an icon to make it easier to spot the top tier tournaments). I've also removed a sportsbook form the list. And as usual, changed the main pic (i'm really digging this yellow one (:  )

Maybe even TP gets another big surprise and kicks Secret to the bottom part.
This game is giving hype and that's what most dota 2 fans like about those professional teams social media pages, they know how to meme.  Tongue
pure domination from Team Secret  Undecided Game 2 was kind of close but TP couldn't handle Secret's aggressive plays. well played TP, they put a good fight

my single ticket today was a fail, tho

VP shit the bet against LGD who on paper were the underdogs yet they won 2-0, wtf?
anyway, thoughts about the lower bracket games? i'm expecting Fnatic and VP to win their respective games and then a close battle between Team Liquid - Vici Gaming and TP - Team Aster....surely Aster learned a thing or two after their game against the SA team a couple days ago

Izako Boars vs  Movistar Riders  should be a win for movistar but boars have a chance to push this to 3 maps perhaps and disrupt a mixed team while they are a Polish national team it has some advantage.   Stomp on awp is a player to watch in how effective he can be put to work, a match to watch for the prospects of both teams in future even if the result in this game is unlikely to favour the underdog though I was told to bet boars I didnt think I had enough to go on vs the more obvious result.

I also got in on that TP train against Aster and I might take them tomorrow against Neon as well.  Cheesy
Neon was somehow good in their games but they still lack experience so that's definitely going to be Thunder Predator tomorrow.
Watched some games and I must say I am very surprised with the level of play some teams brought here, that mainly goes for Thunder Predator. They won all their games and most of them very convincing.

Neon started well all maps I watched and had a solid lead and then broke apart and did some questionable plays which ended with them loosing that map. I am looking to take some bet like 1st tower Neon when they are underdogs, should be immense value.
TP lost a very few games but overall, they've never lost a series. Later, it's now the playoffs and Alliance was the next team that has been eliminated. There's one game that's being hype which will happen later and that's Team Secret vs. Thunder Predator.

TP gets first place but they'll play Secret in the first match of playoffs, yikes! but team secret twitter acc knows what's up, i'm sure a lot of us feel the same way about this matchup  Grin

Really looks unfortunate for the first team of group stage to draw the best team in the tournament immediately. I have a feeling Secret twitter could be right and we may yet see these two sides in the final as well.

Maybe even TP gets another big surprise and kicks Secret to the bottom part. I don't know if lack of competitive games for secret is favoring them since nobody saw their preferred tactics for this tournament or hinders since this is their debut.

Strange days we're living in, EP are nearly closing out the series with 2-0 win vs EG which is ever so slightly surprising.    I've placed a very late bet that somehow EG wake up from their trance mid game and can recover into 3 maps and maybe even a win.
Maybe the clue is the viewer figures, 8k watching this match vs 120k on the other ESL games being played at the same time.   Does this match not matter as much perhaps, I lost track and just presume its always taken seriously by the players but thats an assumption too far tbh.

Yep strange all over.  EP showed 3.3x odds while just 8 rounds off a series win, hedge wins.   massacre brief highlights

Its weird watching a team capable of winning majors lose out to a team like Endpoint. No disrespect to Endpoint but EG have been playing the highest levels of CS GO for at least 3 years now but now it seems like sme changes need to be made. Tarik is supposed to be a star but is so inconsistent. oBo played his heart out but there was no support to be seen around him. He was the top fragger in the server even though his team lost 2-0.

Edit: In the other game, Dev1ce posted 40 kills and 13 deaths on 1st map(train) against fanatic. Absolute masterclass from the danish AWPer.

I'm going for Astralis -1.5 @1.85 later, must win game for Astralis to lock in that play in spot and with Fnatic looking abysmal yesterday against VP i'd take my chances on a 2-0.
I'm planing to do the same but thinking if I should bet on individual rounds or just make 1 big bet on 2-0. Fanatic, on paper and h2h always manage to get a map off of Astralis but I'm not sure they can do that right now, with the form they are in. Astralis are on a 3 match winning streak as well, winning 6 maps and losing just 1 in the process against VP. It all depends on how Krimz plays. If he and Brollan shine, it could go 3 maps. If not, clear 2-0 it is.

anyone watching the Singapore Major right now? Thunder Predator looking pretty good, they turned things around and won game 1 against QC...2-0'd alliance and liquid, and they're about to 2-0 quincy crew

ok, south america dota, i see you  Shocked small stake on predator to take a map vs. Aster
SA Dotes as they say!  Grin
8-0 for this day for Thunder Predator. Tomorrow's going to be the end of the group stage and I think they'll going to have a sure spot for the playoffs.
