in the beginning of 2018 a lot of forecasts were made, both negative and positive, but no one expected the etherium to fall to $ 240, as it happened today.

ETH suppose to one of the best and legitimate crypto after Bitcoin. Can believe the price dipped so much.

I think the price drop is likely due to market manipulation. Because at below $230, it doesn't make economical sense anymore for the miners. They will be just barely cover the cost of operation (electricity + rent) and the (already sunk) cost for the rigs, not to mention not making any profit in the long run.

Hope there will be real initiative from Ethereum Foundation to prevent the price from free falling further.

ETH is bottoming out this year and the downtrend has not stopped, if the ETH falls below $ 200 then that is a bad result for the whole market and especially the ERC20-based coin. The crypto market has always been a surprise and I am very hopeful that there will be a surge in the market in the near future.

It was incredible a month ago with a rate of ethereum of 330 dollars. However, in the morning the ethereum rate is 228 dollars. It seems that the price of $ 200, which seemed unreal a month ago, now may well be. Now, probably, many are shocked by such a low price. But on the other hand, buy at such a very low price ethereum may be more and will not succeed.

Do not rely so much in the predictions as for me there is no one could really tell the future of Crypto currency investment because the price is really unpredictable. In fact there are already many Crypto predictions that did not happen as desired but anyway we have few months left before this year will end so lets hope that there is really a bullish market that will going to happen before next year.

That's a normal thing. Its now priced at $ 224 per coin. That is definitely a terrible number for you.
For me, it's very normal. The market has gone down, not just ETH. So I feel great because they gave me an investment opportunity.

The market situation seems to be like that and the price of ETH is going to 200$. If bitcoin price drops below 5000$ definitely the price ETH will surely touch the value of 150$ easily but anything can happen in the crypto market. We have to wait and see.

I hope the ETH won't drop to $ 200 because this alt coin is very strong and one day it will be equal to bitcoin.
it is true that no one can change the market today when many people panic and are weak when there is a price reduction in this bear market.
but I still remain optimistic and keep holding. because I'm sure there will be a bullrun market at the end of the year.

We can say that this fall is almost nothing.
Butcoin also went down from 20k to 6k. And we all know what happens when bitcoin goes down.

All the altcoins are cars and bitcoin is the highway. All the cars are being driven on the bitcoin's price. For such large changes in price to occur you indeed need the bitcoin price to rise else such a huge change is not possible easily.

Of course, with the decline in ethereum prices, everyone worries for sure,
but in my opinion it is a natural thing in the crypto world if prices go down,
I am sure that in the next few months ethereum prices will rise again

It is hard to say if you ask me. But there is always a possibility that the price will go down even more. This years up and downs are very tricky, so it is hard to guess what the price will be. Let's hope we will be on a run very soon. I think we all need that now

Well, no one can really predict how much a coin will fall and when it will rise but I do not think ethereum will fall as much as this before the market will recover fully. It is still a good time to buy the coin and hold because when the market recover, the price will rise especially when the bull run starts.

I think your fear is going to be true. Ethereum dropped down to 242 USD today and still, it has a bottom of 250 USD. Today, ETH price dropped from 284 USD to 255 USD in 90 Minutes! So, Anytime it may fall to 200 USD. If Ethereum comes down to 200 USD in this year, then I would almost sure it will come to Confirm 100 USD!
