I think right time to buy ethereum because this coin have big potential to be next bitcoin in my opinion only.  Many people as of now buy ethereum so the price is continue to increase maybe the price of ethereum before the end this of this year will hit 1000 dollars each.

Selling now and re-buy later only applies to day traders. They do not expect anything about the investment as long as they will receive profit at the end of the day. If you want to invest, hold it as long as you want, then sell it when you need cash.
The word you said it in this thread sell it when you need cash thats what we expect from all source of income .But OP mentioned only for long time investor not for day traders they cant sell immediately and buy again same day.

My strategy is to buy after a major ICO, and sell right before a major ICO.
I dont really understand your strategy how major ICO can change ethereum value even why do i need to sell before major ICO. In some case both happens like one major ICO finished and another ICO started immediately???

Actually It's difficult to make a decision of selling now and buying later because you can't estimate whether it will go up more or crash.
i do not think that we need to sell Etherium right now. the best decision will be to hold it for some more time because d not expect that the price of Etherium will comedown any more. because there are more expectation after bitcoin to increasing more and therefore people are also trading Etherium.

I'd rather keep my Ethereum than selling it and re-buying it again. It's value now is kinda high for you to wait and re-buy them again, I don't know but maybe it's just me.

ETH sell now then re-buy later, many users do that especially to the traders because they earn income by doing that. Also not only ETH it was possible to all altcoins that included to the trading sites.

I hope people have bought ETH when the price was down. Because right now the price has rebounded and its hard to buy bow. But if you have bought already then I think must better to hold for now. Looks like ETH can really soar this year and may possibly over take bitcoin market. Hold and then sell later if you think you have profit huge.

Currently seems to be going back up. It takes enough time to recover your state will rarely do a perfect "sell buy up and buy below", because we never know when the top or bottom. And we've made a mistake

Hello,

This would be pure speculation, I know, this is more of a "what would you do?" question.

I bought $2,000 US worth of ETH when it was trading at $240 US. I see some analysts saying that ETH will hover around $320-390 before a crash happens. I am sure it will rebound nicely after this supposed crash but would you sell ETH now while you're still in the green, keep the USD in your wallet and then re-buy when/if ETH falls?

Thanks in advance for any and all replies.
I think you should hold for a while also and wait for it to grow higher . I see eth as one of those high leading coin in the market i believe also that eth would increase more its value than expected. Theres no doubt about it i think.

Current dip looks over for now and all cryptos are nice and green.
ETH should hit $500+ before next peak. I'll sell some at that level.
If ethere will have touched over $500 that means the flippening with be happening and ethereum will take the bitcoin's place. Remember there is up to 6 billion gap on their market capitalization. If the ethereum gets another pump and it will increase the market cap and take the bitcoin's place.

There is more to taking over bitcoins place than just marketcap. As long as exchanges primarily trade altcoins in terms of bitcoin then eth and all others will always be dependent on it. When eth to fiat volume overtakes that of bitcoin will be the day we can truly say its taken its place.

That's actually what I just did. I sold 3.9 ETH coins at $355 (bought in at $240). With my profit I bought $300 worth of LTC for long term investment. I won't even look at LTC for a long time.

With the rest of my USD I made from selling my ETH I will keep in my wallet and rebuy when it dips below $240. Which supposedly is possibility in the coming weeks.
it is hard to know whether ethereum can hit $240 anymore. Investors keep putting their money into this coin. the only way to stop it is that the HF must be successful so that people will return their money to bitcoin.

So you think that ETH will never dip below the $240 price point again?

I always wanted to do the sell high and buy low during the dip. However I realize i am just not fast enough and not very good at predicting when is the bottom. Not to forgot that some of the existing services that exchange coin to flat are extremely unstable. E.g coinbase goes down everytime there's a big price correction of the market.
Saving your coins in coinbase is the worst decision you could make as they have proving again and again that they are not capable of maintaining their network when there is a sudden surge in traffic and when ever there is a rally in both directions the site goes offline and the amount of loss every user has to bear because of their incompentancy is huge,so avoide online wallets at all cost. The price of all the coins are recovering after the small correction.

Hi Clement,

I am still learning the ins and outs of everything. If I have coins in coinbase where and how would I place them elsewhere?
