Ethereum played all its good news and still the price does not grow, so it's too early to talk about 1000)
$10000 is too impossible to happen this 2017 or maybe 2018. Ethereum is a potential coin but that's way too high. Maybe $500-$1000 after 1-3 years. Even the BTC struggled before reaching $1000.
I think the idea is too far fetched. Ethereum's price do struggle to break or even reach $450 as of today. Also, if Ethereum's price changed that much expect bitcoin will be priced at or almost $10000. The idea of Ethereum having $1000 in a span of 2-3 months is way too absurd. Maybe over the course of a 2 year period not a couple of months.
I think the price of ETH and BTC will be $1000 and $10,000 respectively.

I Would not be so optimistic. ETH will 1000 USD but not now, maybe 2 or 3 years

$1000 for long time is acceptable but if we consider this bearish trend going on for 3 4 months, i dont think it will be able to jump to 1k usd this year. But for long term i am sure it is going to reach to this target. Sooner or later. Because Eth blockchain is still the most popular one for the icos.
Eth has had a pretty impressive rise lately, but $1k in just a few months seems too bullish.

I could see it potentially reaching 1000 if many factors align. One of the biggest potential barriers to this is it's coupling with bitcoin and the fact that bitcoin has the fork looming around the same time Ethereum has a major conference. If this fork didn't exist or if the fear around it dissipates, it could be very likely we see a nice rise on ethereum. It would also be nice if we could see a sustained uncoupling between BTC price and ETH. I guess we will see soon.

This also seems possible to me, because there are so many hedge funds currently in funding phases collecting money to jump into the crypto markets. I am more and more bullish the more bearish the whole altcoin market becomes.

$1000 is too high price to expect from such a short span of time and it also sounds unrealistic to me and it can touch that price in future but not in this year for sure.
as people have stated, 1000$ is unrealistic. honestly i'm just hoping it could even reach 350 any time soon so i can dump my eth and move on to something more worth it, like bitcoin.
Why not stay in both to keep your portfolio more diversified? I'm somewhat skeptical about Ethereum myself, but I don't think it will die anytime soon. And some extra hedging is always desirable in such volatile markets.

$1000 this year is Delusion with a capital D.

A target of $500 should be primary and it is a big barrier for eth to break through psychologically, similarly with btc trying to break through 5k. Given time I think eth will reach 1k as more and more ERC20 ICOs become successful in the coming months.

Your predictions are too good to be true, even if ether cross the $1000 mark but it won't be within a few months or by the end of this year. Don't forget that the market currently is crashing, most coins are decreasing in value, its only a few days left until the ether that you referring to dump to $200.The market might take some time to recover, so ether doesn't have any chance of reaching $1000 by the end this year, probably by the end of three years.
The market is not crashing it's been going up since middle of September, but of course it can't go up all the time it makes dips along the way up. Metropolis hard fork might make the price of ETH rise 100% or more, at least the last hard fork upgrade saw 100%+ price increase. So 500+ USD seems totally realistic this month already. But after such rise correction will probably follow so I don't think there will be enough time for the price to recover and rise to 1000 USD by the end of the year.
Of course one never knows what will really happen on such unpredictable market. I remember I bought my first ether in march and there were predictions it's going to be 100 USD by the end of the year. But I thought it wasn't possible. I would have been very happy even with 40 USD. As it was forty many predicted 100 USD till the end of the summer, but I was still skeptical. So you never know. The market is full of good and bad surprises.
Many of us wants that to happen but if you look deeply to the charts it just goes 200 to 400 dollars and that is it.
