So, is it true that etherdelta is not accepting listing of new coins?

Yes, that's right. New tokens or coins were not added to ED for some time now. The only way to trade new tokens is through the 'add custom' function, but many users don't know this, so there are virtually no trading volumes.
Better to check if the coin is listed on ForkDelta or any other exchange.

I like Etherdelta it gives opportunity for small projects to trade their coin withour 25 BTC price for listing, it is really customer friendly exchange, and the transactions fees are still quite ok, maybe it is a bit complicated for newbies, but I still like Etherdelta

Yeah I mean you said it it's not that customer friendly right now. Think from the perspective of a real newbie. It's difficult to use and slow at times, but as you said it's still better to have no exchange at all. Getting first exposure to trading is important for new projects.

To buy or not to buy - that is the question ;)

The question whether it is legit or not made me stay away from Forkdelta until now. Is it safe to import private keys using their interface? Couldn't they be phishing for such info?

I use ForkDelta without any issues for nearly a month so I think it's safe.
It seems that the developers are really trying very hard to improve the platform. So far I like it.

I also quite successfully use the fork of the Delta ... The only negative is sometimes the delay in transactions inside the exchanger itself - but the delays are insignificant

Biggest problem those exchanges have is the literally nonexistent liquidity. There are just almost no buy and sell orders for any coin.

volume is very small on this exchange, I placed order for selling qvt last night and after 12 hours it did not turn on, although the price was lower than on cmc

It's because people first need to get burned and then they start seeing the value in decentralized services. However, even Etherdelta failed big time and hackers managed to hack the website.

I use etherdelta platform and i can agree that it has a low exchange fees but i totally dislike the exchange due to the way the listed token were listed and there is no search option unless someone have to scroll from the beginning in order to search for the token to trade.

FD and ED the same.
But not all orders are on each platform and not all tokens also...
And FD is so much faster than ED...

FD and ED please join forces so only one survive because this can get messy !

So it seems that EtherDelta is back up and running...

But now I found ForkDelta! And I don't think I'm coming back!

Who is with me? Should we give ED another chance or let's go FD all the way??

This is strange, we don't know the real ED is which one. I think forkdelta is the real one of ED. I am fascinated about they re-open again, don't let us down.

as i know ED and FD is looks like twins
why ?  for example i try to deposit my token to forkdelta , but after i send , i see on history, my transaction still go to etherdelta contract address, so i just speculate ed and fd is one.

FD and ED is the same contract but a different UI, so in CMC it‘s one Exchange. And you Can also See your Deposits in ED and FD Smiley

If I transfer tokens from my wallet into the smart contract and Etherdelta goes offline, could I still get those tokens back into my wallet? Or am I in any way dependent on the ED interface?

You can always get your funds directly from smart contract. It is a bit more complicated but there is guide linked somewhere in this thread. Furthermore, forkdelta has been operational for some time now and they are actually an interface using the same ED smart contract. In my experience they are much faster and better performing at the moment. Should be legit.

They seem legit. However, site is only operational for short time so you can't be 100% sure. I would suggest that you use something like metamask to access it. That way they are not seeing your private keys.

That's what I did for now. Shouldn't it technically be impossible for them to see the private keys that people import? I mean if it was possible for them it would be extremely dangerous to use them with any wallet that contains a good amount of tokens.

Many people’s didnt like etherdelta, but I use this platform in the first month of my work with cryptocurrency and use this exchange today. And very big amount of people. But you should do this project better and fix all bags which you really have! Thank you for the attention!

use a separate wallet for this exchange and after the auction to withdraw toxins and Ethereum to a secure wallet .  I always do that, and it never happened ...

I'm using a separate wallet too. You pay more transaction fees to move your coins but i think it's the safest way.
This is what I'm doing since in the past on where Etherdelta is still up and operational. I do make use of a new wallet and transfer only the tokens which I supposed to trade on and not tending or planning to input my main wallet. This would really decreased the risk on getting wrecked or hacked on all of your coins since you didn't compromise your main wallet. It might involve more fees but doesn't care at all since they are only a small dust on the transactions Ive been making. Its better to be alert and wary than end up on regretting.
