Ethereum will hit the 1000 bucks but not that early. It is competing with the Bitcoin which is stopping its improvement to a higher state. When the Bitcoin gets into its correction phase then the price of the Ethereum will jump higher but that won't happen until the half of the next year. Ethereum is holding and rising cause popular platform and blockchain that is suitable for most tokens and coins in ICOs and after them. Because of that its price will rise and investment into it is positive and highly valued cause it is resisting the power of the Bitcoin with its smart technology and investors base.
I think that it will go very high someday just because its a successful coin now and its already in the top 10 best coins in the world. 
I don't know is ETH will hit 1000 or 2000 $ in 2018 but I'm almost sure that THIS is the most stable and big project to invest now.. team is one of the best and potential of growt is unimmaginable....
My prediction is Ethereum will reach 3k in 2018. I have no idea what the ratio to Bitcoin will look like, but i feel like that'd be a fair price for each Ether when you think of all the development and new ideas that are starting to get real world use (see Cryptokitties that is completely going viral at the moment, haha).
It is possible for eth to reach such value but it's quite impossible by January 2018. Eth is definitely rising but with the kind of pace that it has with regards to growth in value, January is too near and I don't think that span of time is enough. Maybe by the end of the first quarter of next year, it will reach such value so long as it constantly rises.

I think 1k for Ethereum in 2018 is being very conservative... You think the coin will only 2x with all the recent news of adoption, institutional money, DAPPS being released left and right? I'm expecting AT LEAST a 5x in the next year, and i'm sure there are people out there much more optimistic than i am.
ETH definitely hits 1K while LTC will follow SHORTLY after. The coins with solid bases and run more efficiently than BTC will incur huge gains in Q1 2018. The market is booming and with more knowledge of Altcoins, they will surely explode.

It's completely possible. After all, bitcoin has more than $11k, but ETH recent gains are far from enough, and it's entirely possible that it will break $1k in 2018.
Ethereum will definitely grow with the implementation of all the planned features by Vitalik Buterin. He announced that ETH scalability, smart contract safety and privacy are the main priority now. Also the implementation of proof-of-stake system will push the price up. So as far as all these features are implemented the price will rise sharply. I believe it can easily reach 600$ till the end of the year. So it a good point to hold ETH now.

With the amount of development going on with different Ethereum based projects, the network effect alone is going to drive sufficient demand to push ETH beyond $1000 (which, after all, is only a 100% gain, not the 10X or 100X people seem to expect on crypto projects these days).
I'd say it will hit $1800-$2500 per ETH by end of next year, more ICO coming & POS will be implemented.
I guess not in January, but until the end of the year (2018) for sure. I suppose the great correction waits for us all at the beginning of 2018, perhaps even in Jan 2018...
I can not understand why there are so many forecasts for today in a huge collection of prices in the market. If we see another maximum with respect to Bitcoin, then the etherium will surprise me if it rises to 1000 dollars.
