despite the fact that ETH is one of the strongest altcoin which has a smart contract feature enabling many token to be created on the eth network, the altcoin has been strongly. the market volatility has not favour consistent pumping up of the coin like Bitcoin. the price is currently falling again. I just hope it will not go back below $400. in views of this i dont see the coin reaching $1000 by january 2018 because the price has been flunctuating and the coin has failed to reach $500 for the past few weeks

I have invested a lot in Ethereum and I think that if it continues to develop so brilliantly, why not go beyond such a limit. A great course favors investments of new users and it is amazing.
It has potential but it doesn't have any real world applications other than cats. The latest clog of the network proved it is not as flawless as once claimed. I think Litecoin handles transactions better. I thought at 50, litecoin was undervalued. It might still be now...but I don't know. Litecoin could possibly go to 200.

This is possible because the value today is already $400 and maybe in the end of 2017 the value will rise and keep on increasing like what other positive speculations are telling and i do really hope that this thing will happen next year.
anything is not impossible Eth is on a very good rise. after bitcoin eth is 1 of 10 best coin in market. Ethereum is good alternative coin at least for trading and the ICOs projects. Ethereum is good alternative coin other than bitcoin
Yes i think so , in 2018 feb / march ETH will be 800 - 1000$ . Have a patience and see 
I really do not think it will pass $1000 mark in short time, but in the end, no one thought that bitcoin will be able to pass $10k mark at first couple of years 
Looking at how ethereum has been moving recently, i do not think that this is impossible to happen. In fact, i know that this is bound to happen later next year. But, i think a $1000 at January is quite far stretched. Not saying it is impossible to be achieved in January, but chances are really low. Indo not think ethereum can rise that fast since it is known to rise in price slowly and surely.

Don't know after looking at the current rate of Ethereum and also the recent drop in the price of it. I mean it was supposed to be going upwards after bitcoin has recent jump in the prices. This is happening since last week but suddenly all the alt are now following the old pattern where when bitcoin was going upwards then all the alts use to go down. If this is the case that has started again then Im sure that alts will go down along with the Ethereum coin also. But agin as the market is completely uncertain we don't know whats going on with ethreum and most importantly with MR. Vitalik sir! Its all in his hands of him and lets hope that we just hit that price real soon. :-)
i think it's impossible the price of ETH will hit $1000 in the first month of 2018, because of the price of bitcoin so high now, and when the bitcoin price get higher, some altcoins stay or dump price, and ETH will not hit the price of $1000, maybe the price will hit $700 before the end of 2017.

That is possible, Nothing is impossible in any coins, Any coin can reach the value of bitcoins if people will turn to invest that certain coin and a lot of interest will be focus in that coin then expect the highest value of coin in ethereum maybe because there are a lot of demand on it.
There is just no way this will happen. There are just too many ICOs now which are the cause of ETH price stagnation. Unfortunately ETH cant follow BTC
Frankly speaking I do not believe that this coin will soon become so expensive. Now the network has great problems. This will alienate many users from this coin and it will begin to become cheaper. Raiden should fix the drawback with the speed imo

Impossible to say, really. At the moment the price is being pulled down at least partly by Crypto Kitties slowing the chain. I suppose we have to see how scaling progresses, and any other developments. I still think Ethereum is a great long-termer, but shorter-term - a month and a half now until the end of Jan 2018 - is more subject to volatility.
A pretty easy short term solution to scaling would be to increase the gas limit. Even without immediate scaling solutions I think eventually people will get used to the new norm of high transaction fees to get stuff confirmed and ETH prices will start recovering whether the network is congested or not.

As of today, Ethereum has gone down from $470+ to $447. I think maybe there are lots of Ethereum dumpers today. I would honestly think that it's possible that it'll reach $1,000 in 2018, but not in January I think. Who knows? I could be wrong, but we'll see about that by the end of January 2018. I started to like Ethereum right now.

It is impossible to achieve this high price in that short time. Okay ethereum can grow to 1000 dollars but in end of 2018 not early, it is my opinion
