The posibility is quite high,I speculate ETH hitting $1500 in 2018, the possibility is there as BTC is rising, ETH will follow suit, not minding the competition,
I have great long term hopes for ETH. I wound't be surprised to see 1K in 2018, but when, who knows?
My hodl on this is LONG. Like in the stash with my BTC long hodl. I think it will be well worth it in the end.

$1000 by january is a bit of a stretch i think.
It's become pretty common for people in crypto to make wild speculations that are not backed by any kind of research, evidence, or performance indicators.
However, I do believe that eth will break $1000 in 2018, I'm thinking around Q2 and end 2018 in the $1500 - $1700 range.
ETH is an entirely different beast than btc. It has active development and a platform that is the widely accepted mode of distributing smart contracts.
The issues eth have will either be solved by the development team themselves or another project will help solve them (as with already existing projects like chainlink).
Whether or not eth becomes #1 over btc is irrelevant, having at least one other coin get close to btc's value will help the entire cryptosphere immensely.
In the end, we want crypto to go mainstream and eth will definitely help for that to happen.
So like all top coins, it is always a good time to invest in them.
However, do be smart and buy it up when you see the price correct or dip, not when it is rising 20 to 30%.

Ethereum will keep on getting more valuable that's right but 1k does not sound possible to me. We should make more realistic predictions to avoid dissapointments. Ethereum would be around 500-550 max at that time.
Yes, you must better buy Ethereum now as it will continue its genuine growth. And no, it will hardly reach the amount of thousand dollars per 1 ETH in January. I bet for $500 (plus minus $55). Later it will grow, but not so fast.
There is a possibility to reach $1000 value but i do not think it will happeb in next year because i follow this coin and holding good amount of ethereum.and i notice the sliw progress of this coin i think due to constantly increasing of bitcoin value some investors are now focus in the main coin in crypto currency that is why the volume of demand are slowly increasing in ethereum but i am hoping that incoming year would be better for ethereum coin.
After today I'd say that it's quite likely that it will happen, it went up already at 450 which is insane if you consider it was at 320 a couple of days ago, that's quite some money that has been flowing in lately. I think people start realizing the potential of ETH, as the biggest decentralized app network in the world. It has so many use cases that it would be impossible to mention everything here. It's something that like take quite some time until it is developed, but when that happens we will be seeing some even more crazier price increases. People will at some point want to use these applications and Ether will be there to offer them that possibility, the only thing the users will have to do is buy that ETH, and therefore increase its price.

Their connection with icos is what will boost demand for ethereum. I use it for myetherwallet, I`m trying to buy more eth as I can to have it before price grows up. I will need it in any case, my wallet will not work without it so better to have it now then later. Ethereum is useful now, and in future I expect even more usage. Price can grow to 1.000$ and with rise in last couple days ethereum is at 450$ when I checked hour ago. Ethereum was stable for a long time around 300$, it was time to start rising, and I think many of us expected this rise. Buy ethereum while is still cheap, is my message to others.
Perhaps in January there will be no such price. Many holidays and lots of rest. But in the second quarter of 2018 we can easily see this price. The good news that will burn coins will only strengthen the high price. A lot of ICO was held this year on the platform. The system is developing well. I see no reason that next year we would not see 1000 dollars.

I think it is very difficult for ethereum to hit $1000 in jan 2018 but it will reach $1000 or more than at the end of 2018.If you want huge profits in short time choose another altcoin ethereum price growth is slow but stable.So etereum is not able to increase upto $ 600 in just one month.

its not impossible at 2018, because ethereum coin number 2nd after bitcoin at all around the world, so many investor at back ethereum from famous company and now ethereum already in the top 10 best coins of the world.
I think that 1000 is quite real for him, maybe not in January but I think soon we will see. But in fact, it can go higher if they make new news or push people to buy more. It seems to me now there is nothing to be surprised - now anything can happen)

Very optimistic i must say, ETH deserves all the attention it needs considering their network is far more valuable than some legacy bitcoin networks that basically do less than Ethereum itself, there are literally hundred millions worth of other alts are build on Ethereum blockchain and seriously it just worth more than it does now even though their price doesn't reflect much on their operations, projects like ethereum should prime the market and seems the trend is slowly shifting to those with much more functionality, expecting a 700 mark within few weeks or months though, crypto is unstoppable when millions of buyers are just waiting for the right mining, it will go off son

You should but etherium. Eth is doing a great job in industry and it have a good possibilities because it is getting more useful. Let us trust to eth that it will have a great output in the increasing of value in 2018. But dont assume that eth will grow bigger and bigger here in cryptocurrency, you need to risk and wait to have greater outcome in the end.

everything can happen, but I think it's a bit difficult to get through 1000 $ in jan 2018, but if it's only $ 500, I think it's easy to achieve in january 2018
