This had to happen as those who believed in ETH had being buying it from long ago when it was at near 100 $ mark which was also the correct time as such to buy this coin as it was dumped badly during the btc falling in 2018.

I'm glad that they are back to the second spot, but the battle is not yet over the second post is still up for grabs, there are still some coins that are up to the challenged, Eos, Cardano and of course Ripple are still a big threat, to ethereum position in the second spot.
Ethereum has a lot of potential there are a number of platforms that could overtake Ethereum in theory, but Ethereum has huge resources, great community, and great devs, so has a great chance to stay ahead and hopefully overtake Bitcoin in market cap.
That's true, in terms of technology, there are a lot of technology or coin that is better than ETH. However, what make ETH a successful one is because it was created early and has gain a lot of supporters, also the team are working
for the improvement of the project that's why it will continue to appreciate its value and I'm very confident investing my money in ETH even for long term.
