This kind of replacements in the market can always happen. The important thing is, in what place they usually stand. For now, improvements from xrp have raised the price. But in the long run ethereum will not lose its place in the 2nd place.

They are currently flipping back and forth and have been for most of the day.

XRP has overtaken ETH several times before, most recently in January this year, and then again in May last year. And then of course for the first several months after ETH was first launched when XRP was in the number 2 spot.

Due to recent good news from the Ripple on their Xrapid Development price of the XRP coin is booming. As per the CMC total market capitalization of the Ethereum on CMC is $23,347,677,622 & Ripple is $23,343,115,883 Billion which is very near. Looks like ethereum will loose rank 2 if the price of the ripple will increase more. Whats your thought on this? Huh
