If the whales had decided to sell ether, they would have done it a year ago, when it was worth over a thousand dollars. And now it is hard to believe it. I don't think Ethereum will die.

The entire crypto market is falling ot it's a bit unfair to single out one coin. Smart money is using this time to accumulate cheap coins while the noobs are crying in panic mode. We will never seen prices this low again and this will truly be the last time to get insanely rich off crypto with very little effort.

I think that one of the reasons why the Ethereum market cap has grown so much, and now it is decreasing so much, were ICO projects.
They accumulated large amounts of ETH, which at the time when the price dropped, they had to exchange to fiat money in order to be able to continue the project. It helps a lot in drops of price and market cap also.
Good times for ICO will return and Ethereum market cap again will grow high!

I think you are being a little overdramatic.
Yes, the crash is huge.
But there's no way eth will "die".
Ethereum is a non profit organization with the largest crypto network in the world.
It has active development with major updates coming soon.
Not only that there are literally hundreds of new projects still building on the network.
I wouldn't call any of that dying.
Also, the more obvious thing, is that it isn't some mysterious whales dumping eth.
It is just ICOs cashing out.
With the poor market conditions, new companies are running out of headway and cashing out their eth to stay afloat.

in my opinion nothing will change until people stop selling their coins. this can happen because many people believe negative speculation about cryptocurrencythey should have realized that continuing to sell would only make things worse

I cannot deny that Ethereum price so far was crashing, but it doesn't mean it will gonna die of course not!. Unless we see that there is no eth buyers anymore, that's the time I could say that Ethereum will going to die. But that's not what happened in reality, in fact, there are still lot of holders out here are continue buying Ethereum while its price was cheap in the market.

You can make same with BTC too so what BTC will die soon too?No all market is in bear and even now ETH is most used platform for ICO es so just some time and itwould go back to 100$ and more.

The whole cryptocurrency market is facing price crisis as the year 2018 have not been favorable to the cryptocurrency market lots of price fall without recovery unlike 2017 where the cryptocurrency price and projects where turning out successful and price skyrocketing. But no matter what ethereuem can not die cause it not the only coin facing such price fall even bitcoin too.
The price fall crisis is not only in the crypto currency market but stock and commodity market are all facing the same problem. Price fall May continue till the end of second quarter of 2019 the way things are going and this is good time to buy at the cheaper price.

Actually its not about Ethereum, its bitcoin. If bitcoins fails to gain some good price then it would be the end of the crypto world and there would be no more ethereum or other coins and even if they still survive then the price will remain very very low for a long long time.

Decreasing of price would make Ethereum more accessible and easier to use. Ethereum is supposed to be a utility token and it's high prices were hurting its applicability. Now with lower transaction fees and smoother network, it would increase it's adoption and with scheduled updates, would be prepared for a rise in use.

Not only Ethereum, but all cryptocurrency has decreased market capitalization. Ethereum still a favorite for crowdfunding new projects. I think the market will be recovery next year.
