you can use the nano mod of that guy in this forum, he mine with 75watt and 22 mega i remember, pretty good, i still need to see that super efficiency of other amd, it's strange that they cna match nvidia, like the 390 for example

If you under volt the R9 390 to less than 1000 mV, you can get around 6 J/MH, that is better than 970.

proof of that, my 970 do 22 mega for 160w, i doubt a 390 can beat this

I have both 970 and 390, for ethereum mining I would choose 390 over 970.

Very profitable to mine. Going 240 for power where available really drops electric cost as well.

In that thread, the OP can do 6J/MH with his AMD XFX R9 390.

The bitcoin mining is still profitable. But the profitablity is dropping 50% a months at the moment. It will not be profitable in a few months.

When the new graphics comes out in the next few months, old graphics will not be profitable if the price does not rise.

he was talking about bitcoin, you don't mine bitcoin with gpu anymore, bitcoin will be always profitable because new asic are coming and new efficiency mean more profit, but there is the halving, we will see how it will go out

I think Kahir was talking about Ethereum mining. The profitability of Bitcoin mining does not drop 50% a month, the Etheruem does.

i think it's false for etheruem also, the profit dropped after the big pump but now is very stable, before the vitalik dumped his coin there was this same profit, so it not drop every month by 50%, this is wrong

coins are way up .027 btc a coin $$$ I just went from 170 to 196 mh today  but I am maxed out.

yeah im close to maxxed out too , im trying to sell my 390s and Nvidia cards to buy nanos since i can fit way more nanos on a rack than other cards due to size and low power use.

there is also the 970 mini itx

If you underclock and under volt 390, the efficiency is about 6J/MH. It is around 50% more than the Nano, which is around 4.5.

The only new miner the home miner can buy will be from Bitmain & maybe Avalon. There are NO others selling miners to the public  Roll Eyes

& BTC will NOT always be profitable to mine at home, the corp mining farms are seeing to that,so very soon the network will belong to them, believe it  Tongue

I saw a video in Youtube that Genesis Mining is deploying vast amount a GPU to mine the Ethereum.

X11 diff has barely moved for months - not enough ASIC have actually deployed yet to matter.
That COULD change any day now, if the BeMiner folks or the other "no actual reported sightings from a REPUTABLE source" folks actually start deploying them in quantity.

I think it's more about "Ethereum is more profitable, and folks have started HEARING about that" - just like any rush into any other coin that has happened.
