Feathercoin is not more profitable, its the same as ETH.

When the price went up so did the difficulty.

the average diff was lower, compared to the value of the coin, this because the value went fast to x8 while the diff was still swinging from x5 to x7

not to mention that those that were accumulating it before the pump made much more than etheruem...

So you finally realized mining profitability has nothing to do with market cap? Maybe you were just trolling...

The Ethereum mining is not profitable. What is the profitable coins to mine? I am very interested in knowing.

Eth mining is very profitable still. And nothing else pays as much right now.

feathercoin was more profitable before the dump, i was making more compared to etheruem especially by using p2pool

how do you compare the ftc profitability by using p2pool ? want to know

So the profitablity of the altcoin mining is reducing a lot. It is similar to bitcoin mining now. It is not good for people with high electricity price.

price is going down. Most of the miners will leave if they also trade the coin for btc on daily basis

That is right. I was thinking of expanding the mining farm I own a few weeks ago. Now, I will not build new rigs.

not profitable for me anymore, diff to high and price lower than before

My  electricity price is about 0.2 dollar per kWh, so it is not profitable for me now. I have to find another algorithm.

Eventually this coin will be less profitable due to the BTC rise and alt coin price drop and people moving their coin out and selling eth into BTC. Only a matter of time really and seeing BTC is on its way into or soon to be $500 again who knows what will happen. All I know is cheap ETH on its way.

Not only will people move Ether to bitcoin they will also be buying bitcoin instead of ethers so it will be a double hit on the price.  Less buyers to pick up the supply will be very bearish on the ether market so I would hold tight to those ethers until things pick up again.

I'm curious if anyone here was mining when ETH was sitting around a dollar ea. How much did you profit? Did you sell at peak?

I mine quite a few Ethereum when the price was around $1. But I sold all my coins when the price was $1.3.

Ouch, I bet you kicked yourself quite a bit. If miners and buyers get out of ETH, then there might be some trouble for the project.

I also mine and sell the Ethereum. But I still have about 20% of the Etheruem mined, just in case the price rises.

In the next month, if the difficulty keeps on rise at current rate and the price does not increase. It will not be profitable for most people in Europe.
