I believe that Ethereum developers do a lot of work and the project has a good future, but I also think that there are already many respectable competitors on the market that can become much better than this old project.
now there are a lot of new coins that have good potential for the future but for the next 1-2 years, I think ETH is still strong in second place because there are a lot of platforms that have worked with ETH and there are also those who use it as a means of transaction.

Ethereum poised to potentially outperform top crypto coins in near future, with the way I'm sensing things it seem ethereum is becoming more bullish by every minutes, here are few questions for you crypto lovers

1. Can Ethereum take over?
2. What will happen after the POS upgrade?
3. How do you see the 32Eth requirements for staking?

all alts has the same plan to take over bitcoin mate
but now one can do it, including ethereum, even the POS on ethereum coming i believe this will not enough to replace bitcoin
32 eth is not enough, i suggest you to buy more eth mate

ETH is a coin with quite a lot of transaction volume because it is bound by various contracts, and to compete with Bitcoin may be a little difficult because the ETH itself also follows the price movements of Bitcoin.
Now even the Ethereum blockchain is not stable. In recent months, I often see how the commission for transactions in the network becomes very high and this indicates that the blockchain has great difficulties

Staking requirement makes no difference because users can make a pool to stake...

Yes people can use a pool, but for the first time you will get rewarded for HODLLING ETH instead of mining/ selling it. So that will make the eth price pump, plus the pump will make the price pump. Chain reaction.

There is no reason for Ethereum to shift Bitcoin at the top of Coinmarketcap, although Ethereum is a coin in the second place,
it requires a larger marketcap for ethereum

Take over what? If you meant to be the top 1 cryptocurrency I guess it will never happen. Yes, Ethereum is a good platform in fact it is top 2 next to bitcoin battling with XRP in terms of Marketcap. Bitcoin dominance is more than 50% to be precise it is 64.7% at this moment and ETH could not beat it. Bitcoin has a capped of 21M Total supply and Ethereum supply is growing every year if you look on coinmarketcap you won't see a total supply of ETH because it is growing and they didn't set a total coin supply and from that, you can tell which coin is better.

Ethereum isn't trying to take over but trying to be bullish since past days now, my guess is the upcoming staking upgrade is making whales buying more Ethereum and hold for annual rewards so yes there is a big chance that ethereum will reach a new price soon.

Can ethereum take over what? Ethereum has been the second ranked coin for years now, and if you are asking bitcoin that would be quite a challenge, not impossible but I do not think it could happen for now, maybe in few years ask me again and things may change for them. Ethereum having Pos will change the fact that people will not be mining it for free and selling it for bills and so forth, which means if you are smart enough to hold all your ethereum, you will make more and more and more profits with it.

Hence at the end of the day the price should be going way higher by all calculations, it is very unlikely that price would stay same or go down, because there will be a lot less selling and a lot more reasons to buying and holding as well which all indicates a higher price.

ethereum has the opportunity to take over but not with BTC. I think BTC will always dominate the crypto market. But I agree that Ethereum has great potential for future investment. and it is likely that after an increase in POS the Ethereum price will move significantly.

I don't understand why people seems to have short memory, If you think the POS switch would make Ethereum to suppass Bitcoin then why haven't we see any POS Altcoins displaced Bitcoin. The lock up of 32Ethers is going to cause initial pump then dump. Dash, EOS and other Staking projects never fare better after their hype, I just hope Ethereum won't be in that bracket because there is nothing new to sell after this

I think what his asking is, Can ETH take the number one spot? it might if bitcoin are not supported by the community anymore and miners stop mining, ETH might bull run in the coming future but it will stay in number two spot.
Bitcoin will always be supported by miners and will never die, I know that currently bitcoin mining rewards are reduced because of halving,
but the price of Bitcoin always goes up 2x after halving, so miners don't need to worry about it
currently there is still support from miners who can still produce ethereum, but when ethereum has this development it will disappoint its supporters and will make the ethereum price at the place of exchange collapse immediately.

I am still optimistic about ethereum 2.0 as you asked will ethereum take over not sure . But onc maximum supply limit fixed and POS is introduced in ethereum 2.0 then without doubt ethereum price will sky rocket , I was holding ethereum at the price of 1500$ Even holding at the price of 80$ , I fundamentally believe ethereum blockchain . Still market ruler in dapps

Eth will never take the place at the top, although many think so, the bullish trend created by the increase in btc and altcoin will follow when btc rises, and sometimes they are stable and unresponsive.
all altcoin won't be in first place, first place is always for Bitcoin,
but for second position Ethereum must be vigilant, because Tether might be second place

People are waiting who big updates of eth network. Thats why price is increasing so fast
that's true but when the bitcoin was going down and the bullish trend of ethereum will be ended instantly as the majority of people will move back to the bitcoin. The hype will always be a short term trend and it will never be a long term trend whatever how big the update that will come soon.

What exactly is Ethereum taking over? It's already at the top. If you're referring to ETH taking over Bitcoin, then you're very wrong because that's not going to happen. Ethereum is already at its right position and that's where it's going to stay or even fall back. None of these altcoins will be taking that number one position on Coinmarket.com, that's a position that's meant for Bitcoin. Even if that's going to happen it's going to take a very long time.

Ethereum is good, and other altcoins are good, but none of them are really going that far, because being the first cryptocurrency has already given Bitcoin the advantage. And moreover, most of them are even pegged to Bitcoin.

Honestly there will be more demand for ethereum this year because of their next upgrade for staking, Ethereum can finally leave it's three figures behind but this still isn't enough to beat Bitcoin, with 1000$ per ETH still can't beat Bitcoin at 10,000$
