about the 32 ETH requirement for staking, this would push the demand of ETH again, and its expected to rise as the demand increases.

Staking requirement makes no difference because users can make a pool to stake...

I believe that launching ethereum 2.0 (which was supposed to be launched in 2017) is going to be good, no doubts about it. But it is so late... I hope there are not many bugs, otherwise we can see a downtrend...

The launch was supposed in 2017 as you said,  but if they will successfully launch it this year, then I like to expect that they have already tested it and there will be minor bugs, actually as long as they keep improving the system, people will remain confident investing in ETH, and I know a lot of us are waiting to see what's gonna happen with the launch, and as an Ethereum investor, I am very optimistic that the launch will be successful.

This is the first time a big coin will use a PoS. Previous projects were implemented in small cap coins.

And that's the difference which they want to make,  Smiley

I think what his asking is, Can ETH take the number one spot? it might if bitcoin are not supported by the community anymore and miners stop mining, ETH might bull run in the coming future but it will stay in number two spot.

Ethereum poised to potentially outperform top crypto coins in near future, with the way I'm sensing things it seem ethereum is becoming more bullish by every minutes, here are few questions for you crypto lovers

1. Can Ethereum take over?
2. What will happen after the POS upgrade?
3. How do you see the 32Eth requirements for staking?

In the first place, what do you mean Ethereum can take over? can take over the price of Bitcoin? is this what you are trying
to intend here in this section? If yes, I don't so that's my answer. Now about its POS, I don't it will become successful dude, because
remember staking or apply POS for ETH is only applicable if you have at least 32 ETH and this amount is not a small amount of money,
We all know this things. So, how about the ordinary people or community who want to try it but can't afford to do it?

Possibly, if Ethereum can beat Bitcoin marketcap then Bitcoin will lose its crown, but how is that going to be possible?? Well I belief anything can happen in crypto space, if any coin can actually beat Bitcoin it won't be any time sooner

still not, even for ethereum will not be able to surpass btc marketcap, I'm sure others will also agree with me.
there are so many types of coins that have good technology but still btc will lead Roll Eyes

🤔 Im wondering how ethereum is going to pull that off on its own, it's not possible my friend, there are things that makes Bitcoin the king and one of them is strong community and Bitcoin has the highest volume and liquidity too, if Ethereum can beat those then why not? But the question is can Ethereum do that? My answer is NO.

Am a holder of Ethereum because I believe in the platform and how active the team are is another thing worth taking note of but however I will never have the mindset that Ethereum will one day take over or beat Bitcoin to be the top coin. This is because, the level of trust and believe people have on Bitcoin can't be compared to anything in the crypto space which is not likely going to change. On the other hand, the POS upgrade is something to look out for since it is believed to better the platform. And lastly, the 32 Eth requirement for staking is too much and might limit many people.

1. It is quite possible that a coin can pass BTC as we move from Billions into Trillions in the near future. Not that BTC fails, I think we will see $100,000-$500,000 BTC.

$500,000 BTC puts its MC around 9 Trillion. If BTC does this good I think it stays on top.

$100,000 BTC puts its MC at less than 2 Trillion.
$24,000 ETH would put ETH over 2 Trillion and #1

Do I think this is possible? Yes, but I'll leave that for #2 and #3

To put this in perspective, this would be ETH going 100x, while BTC went 10x.
It would be a hell of a development, to say the least.

2. After the POS upgrade, ETH will be leaving all the issues that come with POW mining behind.
Security issues, centralization issues, etc.

Due to the difficulty of successfully entering the POW mining space, and turning an overall profit, I can see POS staking being much more popular. This will only become more relevant as the percentage of brand new investors in the ETH community begins to outweigh current investors in the upcoming few years.

3. 32 ETH.

We all know that limits aren't a new thing. However, we have not seen the concept applied to a project with this kind of momentum.

....the visibility of sitting on a MC of almost 10% of the whole crypto market, real use cases, top notch leadership, an update that makes the network more secure while making the "club" that gets to earn ETH more inclusive, user friendly, and mainstream-ish...

And the 32 limit. Ahhhhhh...for some I feel it will put them on a hamster wheel trying to reach it. ETH will keep going up, making the 10% staking reward of 3.2 ETH a year more attractive....bringing in more demand...further escalating the price....making the 10% staking reward more attractive....increasing demand.....and the price circle builds...etc

This brings up it's value in Satoshis, meaning it's gaining on BTC Everytime it gains a Satoshi.

Keep in mind this is all occuring during, IMO during cryptos biggest bullrun ever, as we see crypto truly go mainstream.

The influx of new crypto investors will make 2017 look like a dry run

BTC has had a VERY long run and will most likely stay near the top for the foreseeable future, but do you think its wise to believe it will never be beaten?

Is the upcoming crypto climate, and the pros and cons of BTC and ETH, enough to see ETH unseat BTC for the top spot?

We will definitely find out soon enough

Ethereum is very successful in marketing for its 2.0 version. Now people are increasingly buying ETH and that's why the price of ETH is getting higher and higher. When PoS is public, it will be the time when the price of ETH is further promoted. Now that everyone is buying ETH and preparing for this staking event, I believe that the price of ETH will be able to exceed $ 400 this year. The need to buy ETH for staking is huge in the future, maybe it is a new trend of making money for the whole crypto market.

1. Can Ethereum take over?
No, it will stay as number 2. The 2nd option of transacting and not over that.
Bitcoin will always be the champion.
2. What will happen after the POS upgrade?
We don't know. But because of so many supporters that are waiting for this it might end up pretty good.
3. How do you see the 32Eth requirements for staking?
We saw a recent pump with ETH that gained $50+. It could be a sign that supporters are already hoarding to prepare.
32 ETH might be a big number now, but not for the early adopters.

If the POS experiment goes right, there's no stopping for Ethereum. It would solve the problems of scalability and inflation for the time being. Though miners who have invested huge may get angry, they would still have many options to switch to. But if the POS transition went botched, it would trouble Ethereum for years to come.

So we will have to first see the implementation before we can say in finally if Ethereum has done the right thing from shifting from mining to POS, the only concern is you need a huge amount of Eth to stake only whales can do that they should lower the amount so majority of supporters can participate.

I have to see first the POS upgrade and if it will be accepted by majority of miners and investors, they can close the gap if they are successful in implementing the POS, the 32 th is quite huge for small time investors like me, not everyone can participate but staking will definitely profitable.
I think if that's about the nodes to upgrade their client into ethereum 2.0 there will be another chain too that will be used for the transition from ethereum 1.0 to 2.0

How profitable the staking depends on how much annual interest.

I believe ethereum was created to take over bitcoin, but that is too difficult to be true. We know bitcoin very much strong to be taken over
by ethereum, so I'm sure ethereum will always be second. Even so it does not mean ethereum bad, sometimes being good doesn't have to
be number one.

They can have their goals, but they need to realize that it's almost impossible to take over bitcoin because bitcoin has the biggest support in the crypto world. They will need more supports to take over which I don't know if they can have the chance or not, but I guess they don't know. I think it is better to stay at their position now than trying to take over bitcoin position because if bitcoin is being taken over, I don't know what crypto market will be.

I do believe that taking over bitcoin in terms of popularity of usage is a long long way to go for eth. But it is already good thing that crypto users have good option other than btc in terms of their crypto transactions. If you want less tx fee in terms of transferring from one exchange to another, you can opt for eth, depending on which has lower tx fees. But right now, the position of btc is very strong and I don't think it will be replaced any sooner.

Ether may be bullish but its never enough to outrank BTC in any way. Not Now that there is a smart contract that might just possibly beating ETH on its own game. Taking over is too delusional. Keep up to its 2nd position in the rank was even hard for it. What ETH was just trying to solve here was the scalability, that was just it but the option had been solved with the lightning network.

I agree, ETH is the most potential coin in my opinion. I would say, it's more "potential" than bitcoin.
It has more room to grow, more use cases and more developers.

I certainly don't think ETH can take over any time soon because bitcoin has more supporters/holders and it is very difficult to take over bitcoin atleast for the next decade.

After the POS upgrade I think more number of people will dive in to buy ether since it will provide investors to earn more crypto while saving the potential crypto. In the long run, it's a win-win situation. So more investors will hold ether.

It's not a big deal. There will be pools which will allow people to contribute their share and then equally divide the stakes as per the ratio.

Ethereum has a lot going on its platform right now. The impending upgrade to ethereum 2.0 we are seeing bullish pattern in its platform. I don't see it overtaking BTC in the near future yet, but I think it has great potential. I am especially excited about how the crypto world will accept its proof of stake reward mechanism. The 32 eth staking amount is a bit big for me but there are always staking pools that would share part of the staking with you. with that, I think Eth is bullish right now.

Take over on Bitcoin? I doubt that it will take a lot for Ethereum to do that
About the POS upgrade, we have to see what's really going to happen, everything is just a speculation
The 32th Eth requirements are too much for small-time investors like me but it's worth taking that.
