I think ethereum is a more stable coin where even ripple was greatly influenced. The latest graphs on exchanges I see, even showed ethereum being followed closely by ripple. So for me ethereum is way better than any altcoins mentioned.

My choices are ETH, LTC and XMR or Dash. XRP is not my favorite choice of trade or long term investment. if with a younger coin is more trusting.
