Ethereum is not a scam, but there's plenty of violations in smart contracts posted on Ethereum and people loose funds. Those contracts have various security holes one of which is reroll attacks https://github.com/zack-bitcoin/amoveo/blob/master/docs/design/sortition_chains_random.md
Yes because if a coin like Ethereum was a scam everyone cryptos will suffer heavy losses

True.

If u start a scam free experimental project like Bitcoin, don't sell coins to the public, don't do ICO, don't claim things that are proven impossible from the very start.

Start honest and don't sell shit for money, and still promoting things can be fixed sooner or later somehow by central planning and powers - and flee any minimum regulation - but wannabe financial instrument and world computer... wtf

Ethereum is a reliable project and I believe in it. ETH is used in many countries and the project has a very large crypto community. Project developers are constantly improving and improving it. Cryptocurrencies ETH have a huge future! Ethereum is not a scam, it has been revolutionized, smart contracts are still in use today.

Something is wrong here.  Most likely, this is accepted by competitors ETH.  If this information is considered valid, given that ETH is used worldwide.  Constantly investigated, everything that happens with the course of the project and all movements is visible on the ETH network.  It's not hard to call fraud, it's another matter to prove everything and provide facts.  If ETH is a fraud, and cryptocurrency experts have not noticed this, then this is a very complex and thoughtful scheme.

When i first read this Thread way back 2017 I was admit that i was shock, and thinking why, ethereum became a scam. I was examine all of its so called evidences that ethereum was a ponzi scheme in the making and I found out nothing even a small detail of substantial evidence all was just a mere opinion or just a nonsense unfounded accusation. Its the reason why not all you read and source in this forum are all correct you need to double check it before you share it to others. ethereum is not a scam it was revolutionized the smart contracts uses til today.

Personally, I believe that Ethereum is a very promising development of a new technological decentralized blockchain platform. And this gave great opportunities for the development of unique applications. And now Ethereum is very heavily embedded in the banking system for mutual settlements, which gives minimal losses in financial transactions. And based on all of the above, Ethereum is considered a very promising coin.

Sure - selling an experimental coin to the public with an ICO (runnaway to Swissy) and claim whatever it is worth ( cause some wnat to sell to public - want get their money) - list it on unregulated casino 'exchanges' - doing / allowing a lot of more shit with that

I call that scam - at least - not compliant with any rules in finance

It seems to me that this is complete nonsense to consider ETH fraud, as this project has proved itself to be the best. Yes, the price has fallen from the peak many times, but I think that this is not the worst result, since many other altcoins fell hundreds of times and it’s scary to imagine that someone invested their money in them. Also, a bunch of other altcoins were created on the ETH blockchain, I think that if it were a fraud, there would not be so many projects on this blockchain.

Why would someone call ETH as Scam it is really weird, it is the base of tons of erc-20 tokens. Many projects exist thanks to ethereum blockchain. I am expecting a nice increase of ETH in 2-3 years, I am going to buy some and hodl when I have enough funds.

I don’t think ETH is scam. At least we have no proofs that the project is scam. Therefore, it’s too early to talk about it. Most people in this forum have a positive opinion about ethereum. Other resources are also quite positive reviews: https://revain.org/projects/ethereum. For those who want to buy and believe in growth, now is a good time. If someone believes that the project is scam, then what prevents you from selling eth and not buying more?

Yes, yes, Ethereum is a fraud! And soon they will begin the second phase of their grand scam!
Therefore, rather, transfer me your Ethers, do not accumulate trash!
Smiley Smiley Smiley
No this is not like this for me ETH is not scamming it is not fraud but it is just an Altcoin to invest your money. In so many projects I have notice that ETH use to grow it makes money for them that's why I can never consider ETH as scamming but it is one of well known coins and investing in it is full of profit for all of us.
Agree with you, Ethereum is now having good name in the market of investors and it is not scam  but it’s future good Altcoin we need to invest now as it’s on demand for having low price, same as bitcoin i am sure Ethereum will also gain high price after few years but till then we will have to keep buying and always try well trusted site to buy Ethereum.

Lol joseph lubin and vitalek buterkind admitted that they have scammed investards. They knew efirium would never scale. They knew its a scam but they still sold it and poor investards got frauded by the efirium foundation
But now the Ethereum network is the most influential in the cryptocurrency market. This network is the most reliable, it is even chosen by a large business. Therefore, I am also investing in Ethereum now.
Just look at the success of ethereum as of now. Having a great platform or feature which is known as a smart contract. Buying both bitcoin and ethereum is great, it is a great start of investment to everyone who wants to earn and grow. In terms of scamming that you are saying, let us say maybe that is the fault of the team but just look as of now. Ethereum is still alive and kicking knowing that it is beyond bitcoin it still famous because of its amazing platform. A smart contract allows the performance of credible transactions without third parties, it is a term and agreement in a particular transaction between the buyer and seller. Smart contract is the feature in which it will replace lawyers. Ethereum is not a scam for me. It is a great start of investment, I used to buy ethereum and holding it until now. Just wait for the right time that the price will rise up again just like what happened in 2017.

I can’t understand why many forum users write downright lies about ethereum.  Most likely these are people who want to provoke a market drop in order to be able to buy Ethereum at a cheap price or negative comments about Ethereum are aimed at supporting its competitors.  But to one degree or another, these people will not succeed, because in my opinion the ethereum is so strong that it has direct prospects to compete with Bitcoin and become the leader of the cryptocurrency market.

I'm thinking the same which is why they brought back this old thread to spread FUD against ethereum and it looks like they are succeeding because the price of ETH has dropped. I feel sorry for those weak hands but thank you too for letting me acquire more ETH at cheap price Wink
