Ethereum is a good cryptocurrency but it will not overcome the Bitcoin. Bitcoins are spreading a lot and a lot of shops and websites accept them. As I can see at the moment Ethereums are only accepted by some crypto-related websites...
The majority of trading volume comes from Bitcoin to Ether but i does not mean that Etherum will become the number one crypto currency, i dont think no other crypto currency can over take bitcoin.There will be a love hate relationship between bitcoin and Etherum.
No real trader cares about awards only price action. Never fall in love with an investment, you need to be ready to sell if your alarm bells are ringing. Right now Ether is treading water. I would not invest a farthing unless .037 is taken out on Kraken and a new uptrend is established. There may yet be more money to be made, but not right now.

I think Ethereum is a very bright idea from the creators to have people trade their bitcoin for something they just made up recently. Their pre-mine must be worth (give or take) half a billion dollars!

I personally like the direction Ether is heading, especially that iv'e regularly been seeing news about its adoption in new markets.
It will be curious to see what the plan to do with all of their 'contracts' and other services they are beginning to provide.
Now I don't think i'd go as far to say it will be the first Crypto but its growth seems nice

I guess not, bitcoin is still number one, I think microsoft is not possible to decide ties with bitcoin then choose coin whose price is much lower than the bitcoin right?
i think it is too soon to say anything about the future of ETH, especially when comparing it to bitcoin. so let it keep this current market cap for a longer time and not a short couple of months then call it 1st.

because the inflation is very low per year, lower than doge, this means that for 1B etheruem for example you need to wait for more than 10 generation of people

Yes the message was false, Microsoft made a mistake.
I don't think Ethereum will be the first coin or take over Bitcoins place.
They are both here to stay Bitcoin is the gold and Ethereum is the Oil.
They made that comparison themselves as well.
Microsoft is still accepting bitcoin not that anyone gave a shit when they started and still doesn't give a shit now they're continuing.
No one probably gives a shit because no one likes to use bitcoin as a currency anyway. It's fucking horrible!! Cash is so much easier to use but inflation eats it away. I think people realize btc (and altcoins) are best used as digital gold. 
ETH/XBT chart at Kraken is not looking promising. Unless the all time high is taken out Ether will have been just another PnD. I would not buy unless a new all time high is made on volume.
I am unclear as to your statement. The ATH was just set on the 14th, meaning it would need to beat its high from only yesterday. So you think if a coin does not beat its ATH day-after-day it is a PnD?
Right. Ether needs to take out 3/13 high on Kraken to prove it has legs because of the dump on 3/14.

That's what I was wondering. There's an old chartist saw that says, "all gaps are filled." Given that Kraken chart, that saying suggests ETH will fall to ~0.012.
