found the error!!!!!!!!!

it seems that the link for /usr/lib/libOpenCL.so was broken so i deleted it and made a new link:

sudo rm /usr/lib/libOpenCL.so
sudo ln -s /opt/amdgpu-pro/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libOpenCL.so /usr/lib/libOpenCL.so

I've been trying to figure out what was wrong for 2 days now!!!!! finally back to mining

Not sure your problem is the same i had, but looks that way.

inside build, edit CMakeCache.txt and look for the entry libOpenCL.so.1

change the path to /usr/local/cuda/lib64 (i have libOpenCL.so there, check it out first) you may have it but not the symlink so make sure it's there or ln -s it.

you will find three entries of libOpenCL.so.1, in the CMakeCache.txt change them all, and compile again (make)

K it looks like im not the only person with trouble so maybe someone can help me Im running win 10 pro 16.6 and tried 15.12 drivers, when i try to start ethminer it only loads my Hawaii not any of 270,280 if i start with opencl-device 0 or 1 2 3 whatever one itll use the card that i chose but still says its Hawaii I also tried sgminer-gm it will only build a Hawaii bin now mind you It works fine for zcash and other it does this just using eth rather im mining ubiq or etc well trying to mine does any one have any ideas i already reinstall drivers still no luck thanks

I used to have the same problem when using Genoil miner. It is very CPU intensive in the first few moments / minutes (depending on CPU) as it loads the DAG. However, once it's loaded there is no problem. I had to upgrade my CPU a bit because the cheap CPU I had could not handle loading the DAG and the rig would restart.

Just as a side note. Genoil has stated he is not actively developing this miner any longer. It was kind of unstable when I used to use it, and I'd recommend switching to one of Claymore's latest miners or something else for better stability. If nothing else, faster miners have been developed since Genoil stopped updating his.

Having said that I used Genoil's miner for the longest time and appreciate the work he did!

I have checked the miners help yesterday and there is a switch to load DAGs one by one. Just fire miner with "-h" to check all options

i try with this and it dodnt works( May be its too low CPU and Team weaver. Its finaly works after 40 tries. It was 100 % jCPU for 1-2 minute and became normal.

I use this miner woth 4 x gtx 1060 on Windows 10. And when im running this miner ive gott 100% CPU use and PC lagging and reboot after few minutes(
But in 3% sometimes it just work fine.

there is a fine docu and help function in it ... specify the correct stratum protocol and all things working fine ...
*MEGAFACEPALM* pls rent at nicehash but don't run your own rigs, this case shows up that you didn't know the basics.

At time sooo many people are begging for help for dumbass problems that could be self solved if you would enter ethminer -h ....

What version of ethminer generally works the best? Genoil's? NerdRalph's? I solo mine so I am not well informed about the stratum issues with Genoil's miner. I will see if I can get a build uploaded for that 'generate-dag' branch soon.

I compared the dag file you uploaded and it matches perfectly with the official version, so that means you are not affected by this issue. So you don't need the fixed version. You can continue using what you were using before, or use ethminer-0.9.41-genoil-1.1.7, which is what I based my work off of. If you really want a fixed version, you can download my generate-dag branch and build from source.

The dag file was created with a 390x msi with the newer drives

I can do the same test with the RX 480 if you want
