Hi,

I am very new into mining and I bought a GTX 1080 Ti for my system, so I've put it at work Smiley
Here is how it looks my hashrate. Do you think is ok for this graphics card?

Thanks!

What do you recommend ?
And do you know the H/s of the 7970ghz/280x on zCash ?

1) Go to whattomine.com.

2a) 7970/280x 24-30 MH/S on dagger-hashimoto (ethash) algo, just don't mine eth/etc with it. It also dual mines pretty well, just don't mine eth/etc with it.

2b) 7970/280x 300+ on equihash algo.

3) Do your math.

4) Do not mine eth/etc with it.

What should I mine with my setup?

edit, heard this:

RPCMiner-Cuda?

I know this card can yield about 140MH/s, but maybe new tools can do 160?
I just have one spare @ work and unused, but it can't be exchanged for something like 6970 Sad

Since you cant do what the above poster proposed....Use Cgminer. I am using it on  2 580's ,2 6870, 7870 & a 7970 Works a charm.

With CGminer i get....160 and a 180 Mhash on the 580's (one is the monitor so only Intensity 6) other is Intensity 15...

Not sure what to mine thou with that?

Hello to everyone,
I'm mining with the Genoil 1.1.7 and use the coinotron pool.
GPU is a 7970GHz @1185/1865.

I get around 14MH/s, is that ok or too low  Huh ?

Quote
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
ethminer -G -S coinotron.com:3344 -O XXXXXXXX.XXXXXXX:XXX
–cl-local-work 128 –cl-global-work 8192
Your card has 3gb ram, am I right?
You better try mining Expanse (has smaller DaG) with your card, or even better any Equihash algorithm coin (like ZCash, ZEN, Zclassic or so)

Right, it's a 3gb.
Ok, then I'll stop mining eth with this card.
I've got 2 options now:

- get a second 7970ghz/280X for ~80€ and mining ZCash.
- or buy a used gtx 1070 (~350€), sell my 7970ghz and go mining eth with the 1070.

What do you recommend ?

I read it Smiley I just thought that r9 280x was in a different situation. I just find it weird that my GTX 970 does 16.7 GH/s.

Hi,

I am a similar situation as Shock-Flyer. I have a R9 280X and everywhere I look the hashrate should be well above 20MH/s, but I am getting 12.5-13.5 MH/s.
Am I doing something wrong? I am trying to mine Ether on nanopool with Genoil miner.

Regards.
Yes you did something wrong.
You didn't read my post above. Cause of your card architecture impact of rising dag size it is not able to mine as good  as previous, so you have to look for coin with smaller Dag size

No, It's safe.
Of course if you use proper PSU and you have set proper temperature limits in your AMD Radeon Wattman or other tool if you are using other one (Trixx MaB or so) card settings etc..

Hi folks.

I wondered what were the right settings to try mining UBQ (Ubiq) on my Windows 10 PC with a Radeon R9 280X  Smiley

I seek correct performances but I don't want to break / overheat my hardware. Currently my script has the following GPU settings :

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

So it is set to use up to 100%. Is it dangerous ? Thanks  Grin

Trying to run on Ubuntu Server 16.04 with GTX 1070, cuda 8, compiled with
Code:
cmake -DBUNDLE=cudaminer -DCOMPUTE=61
. Trying to run like
Code:
ethminer -U -S eth-eu.dwarfpool.com:8008 -O 0xD69af2A796A737A103F12d2f0BCC563a13900E6F
I'm getting

Hello everyone Smiley

Will I be able to do mining with GeForce GTX660? Every time I try - it shows me this

Thanks!

you need 1 card at least more than 2GB RAM.

and only getting 20mh ?

these pics show the mh on pool website and miner

i should get around 40mh :\

test
-U --cuda-grid-size 8192 --cuda-block-size 128 --farm-recheck 200 --cuda-streams 4

it  crashes before starts mining :\

Could someone please help? Every time I launch the app It wants to use my Intel GPU instead of my dedicated NVIDIA. I cannot seem to figure out how to change it and make it work. Everything I do crashes it after looking at the HELP readme.

Here is the code I am using in my genoil.bat:

"setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 1
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
ethminer.exe -F http://us-west1.nanopool.org:8888/0xfF93FACE25027b520359461F977BB333CBef6 -G --cl-local-work 256 --cl-global-work 8192"

If I add  "-G -M --opencl-device 0 --opencl-platform 1" after the address, It changes the mine to show the NVIDIA but then crashes and/or just hangs and never works. I am out of ideas...

Someone please help. Much appreciated
I guess you have some GTxxxm type of card. Try older driver version.
